Adam Glassman, O’s longtime creative director, said the anniversary cover is the first ever printed in black and white, and was done so to mark the iconic moment.
Glassman said he dressed Oprah in a simple affordable navy gown, which he then had customized with Swarovski crystals because “Crystal is the traditional gift you give people for their 15th anniversary.”
The issue will be 30% larger than traditional issues. It will also feature a mini-section on Oprah’s special mantras, as well as a 12-page hair guide sponsored by Carol’s Daughter and Soft Sheen.
