Actress Gabrielle Union is set to release her first book this fall via Harper Collins Publishing. The Being Mary Jane star announced the news herself via Instagram, sharing the above cover and message with fans: “Throughout my life, I’ve often wondered aloud ‘How the hell did I end up here?’ Why me? Not sure I’ve ever found all the answers to the questions, but in this book, I share my journey… the good, the bad, and the WTF. You will definitely need more wine for this.”

Janet Jackson Shares First Photo of Baby Eissa
Via her various social media pages, singer Janet Jackson has done the unexpected: posted a photo of her three-month old son, Eissa. The normally reclusive pop star shared the first image of her baby boy with the simple caption “My baby and me after nap time.” The reveal comes just days after the singer reportedly separated from her husband of five years, Qatari businessman Wissam al Mana.
New Music: ‘Patterns’ by Brandy
Via her Instagram page, R&B diva Brandy just blessed fans with a snippet of what is presumably new music she’s been working on for her upcoming album. With only the caption “#Patterns” accompanying the video, we’re going to assume that’s the title of the song- which is giving us all kinds of Angel in Disguise type vibes.
Kelly Rowland Book Tour
Singer Kelly Rowland is hitting the road. The former DC3 member will reportedly embark on a cross-country book tour in support of Whoa, Baby!, her recently published self-help guide for new mothers. Initial stops include the Barnes & Noble in Tribeca on April 12th, Bookends in Ridgewood, New Jersey on April 13th and the Barnes & Noble at the Grove in Los Angeles on the 19th.
Jennifer Hudson: ‘Remember Me’ Video
Singer Jennifer Hudson is back with the video for her new single Remember Me. The track is the first from the Oscar winner’s upcoming fourth solo album and first under Epic Records and the combined tutelage of Clive Davis and producer L.A. Reid. Jennifer signed with the label back in 2015 and has been hard at work on her debut ever since. She’s reportedly been in the studio with everyone from Diane Warren to Pharrell Williams and is set to release the project sometime this year.

With the 100th episode of Scandal set to air this Thursday, cast and crew were recently brought together by the Hollywood Reporter to discuss what it took to bring the controversial political drama to network television. It was of course no shock to hear ABC wanted the part of Olivia Pope to be played by a white woman, despite the character being inspired by real-life African American political fixer Judy Smith. What was a bit shocking, however, were some of the names being thrown about to play Olivia once the network agreed to the casting of a black woman.

Rumor: Chicago Med Renewed + Full Cast to Return
While no official announcement has been made yet, it’s pretty much a given (according to Variety) that Yaya DaCosta’s hit NBC series Chicago Med will be returning for a third season. Among its scripted shows, the hospital-based drama is NBC’s sixth highest rated in demo (avg 1.26), third highest rated in total viewership (avg 6.7 mil.) and is part of Dick Wolf’s always reliable ‘Chicago’ franchise.
