Simply titled Aaliyah, the fragrance is already available via Xyrena’s official website, and can be purchased for $64. “I grew up listening to Aaliyah’s music,” said Xyrena CEO Killian Wells. “As a huge fan, this is a very personal release for me and my company. We set out to create a fragrance to be cherished by Aaliyah’s fans and also introduce her to a new generation.”

According to published reports, “Hollywood Divas” actress Elise Neal has joined the cast of Lifetime’s upcoming Aaliyah biopic.

The newly minted reality star will take on the role of iconic R&B singer Gladys Knight, who few people knew was related to Aaliyah via marriage.

“Aaliyah: Princess of R&B,” has been plagued with casting problems since it was first announced earlier this year. Zendaya Coleman was originally set to play the singer but backed out when public outcry apparently became too much.

Zendaya Coleman Drops Out of Aaliyah Role

Disney actress Zendaya Coleman has officially bowed out of the Lifetime channel’s upcoming biopic on late R&B singer Aaliyah.

The network issued a statement over the weekend saying “We are sad Zendaya will no longer portray Aaliyah, and production is currently on hold.”

Zendaya’s casting was revealed on June 16th and immediately caused a backlash among some fans who thought the actress’ look was too ambiguous.

Lifetime Releases Extended “Unbreak My Heart” Trailer

UNBREAK MY HEART TRAILERLifetime has released another trailer from their upcoming biopic Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart. This extended look into the film, which airs January 23, features a bit more dialogue, mostly from Debbie Morgan who plays Toni’s Mother Evelyn, and Greg Davis Jr. who plays LA Reid.

This trailer is definitely a lot juicier than the last and looks well produced. Of course, you never know with Lifetime. Sometimes they nail it, and other times… not so much.
