Bria Murphy Is Dark and Lovely

Bria Murphy, eldest daughter of Eddie and Nicole Murphy, is now the face and Global Brand Ambassador for Softsheen-Carson’s brand of Dark & Lovely products. The company announced Bria’s addition to the family at a star studded party held last night at the Juliet Supper Club in New York City. Bria had the support of both her parent, who attended the event with her. As well as sister Shayne, actress Nia Long, Tyson Beckford, Olivia and “Basketball Wives” star, Jennifer Williams.

Bria is a 21 year old aspiring model whose previous experience includes a guest appearance on America’s Next Top Model, as well as an appearance in Gucci Mane’s “Spotlight” video.

Bria Murphy’s New Look

Eddie Murphy’s eldest daughter, Bria Murphy, is ready to set the modeling world on fire. The 5’9 inch beauty is following in the stiletto heeled footsteps of her mother, Nicole Murphy, and has officially signed with LA Models, the same agency that manages America’s Next Top Model winner, Eva Marcille. Photos of Bria were posted online recently and though the images are stunning, one cannot help but notice the obvious changes in Bria’s face, particularly her nose. Bria definitely got her nose from her handsome father. However, that nose, prominently seen in these photos, is nowhere to be seen in these recently taken professional pics. Of course it is no crime to have one’s nose done- it is however a little disappointing that someone as young as Bria would do so for the sake of a modeling career.

Bria Murphy In The Spotlight

Eddie & Nicole Murphy’s eldest daughter, Bria Murphy, is looking to get her shine on like her talented parents. The 19 year old part time catalog model is being featured in her first video, playing opposite Gucci Mane in his Benny Boom directed video for his first single, Spotlight.

Style Stealer: Bria Murphy vs. Shaunie Nelson

Bria Murphy, daughter of Eddy & Nicole Murphy, attended last night’s Macy’s Passport Gala 2009 in Santa Monica California. She was dressed very simple and cute in a white tunic boat-neck dress and white Pierre Hardy Paillette T-Strap heels. Last week, Shaunie Nelson [O’Neal], wore the black version of these fab Pierre Hardy sandals while attending her good friend, Rachel Roy’s Spring 2010 presentation at Cedar Lake Studios in New York City. Shaunie paired her heels with a teal blue sheath dress and gold jewelry. Loves it!

Remains of the Day

While scrolling my Facebook timeline today I came across news that isn’t so new. Apparently Diggy Simmons, son of Rev. Run, is set to star in his own BET comedy titled “The Start Up.” The “Entourage” inspired show will reportedly hit the airwaves next fall and will co-star Teyana Taylor and Dark and Lovely model Bria Murphy.

In more news you probably missed, Nicki Minaj is rumored to be getting her own E! reality series. The princess of pink reportedly broke the news earlier this week while promoting her new “Pink Friday” fragrance at Macy’s on Herald Square.

Finally Billboard is already reporting chart news concerning Rihanna’s “Diamonds” single, which dropped earlier today. Though they can’t say where it will land, the song will definitely enter the top 10 having already sold over 100,000 copies today alone.

Rihanna will have to beat Taylor Swift over the head with a sandwich to capture pole position, but hey, who says it can’t be done?

… And I Should Care Because?

A few days ago I got an interesting e-mail from a man who says his name is Brian. Brian for some reason came to this site, used my contact form, and sent me a very lengthy e-mail explaining to me why he hates and refuses to date Black women. Brian titled his e-mail “My Confession”. Brian contacted me, a Black woman who runs a site in support of other Black women, to confess his dislike of us. Why? Why me? What made this man come to Brown Sista, see what I do and then feel his confession would be of interest to me? What exactly was Brian trying to accomplish with his e-mail and why was he trying to accomplish it with the very type of woman he claimed to despise- A Black Woman?
