As you all know by now, Brandy is playing the role of Chardonnay, Jason Pitts’ new love interest.
Actor Coby Bell, who plays the part of Jason, recently spoke out about his new co-star, saying “I think people are really really going to love Brandy. She’s really going there. I was just so impressed. The first day we got together and started working it was, like, instant. We just understood each other. We come from a similar place of how we work, so we just clicked right away.”
Brandy’s summery look was courtesy of Chanel, YSL Cap Toe Pumps and some very mild weather in New York City.
SUPER CUTE !
Chanel Iman looked ravishing as she posed for pics inside the Victoria Secret store at the Eaton Center in Toronto. The 20 year old beauty was on hand to promote the company’s Valentine’s Day sale. Chanel signed autographs and posed for pics decked out in a red Hervé Léger dress and Pigalle Spiked Heels by Christian Louboutin. Chanel recently made a career change, leaving her longtime agency and joining IMG, which is known for their representation of Victoria Secret models.
Model Chanel Iman puts on a happy face for her photo spread in the February edition of Vogue Spain. The shoot was styled by María Aguilar and the magic man behind the lens was photographer Michael Ferrara.
The December 2009 issue of Prestige Magazine covers none other than one of the hottest teen supermodels in the industry right now, Ms. Chanel Iman. The nineteen year old fashion diva looks super glam in her hot photo shoot for the magazine. In the interview she tells Prestige about her relationship with her boyfriend Chris, amongst many other topics. “I look for someone who’s a man, who really knows how to listen and how to learn from his girl. I want someone who cares from his heart about what’s on the inside, not about what’s on the outside… I also skateboard with my boyfriend and we ride around a lot of parks here in the city.” Two thumbs up for Chanel Iman!
Rihanna continues her total media domination of Paris’ Fashion Week. The singer has kept tongues wagging all week as she has repeatedly been seen wearing one outrageous outfit after another. The fashion diva kept the trend going at yesterday’s Chanel showing, arriving with Karl Largerfeld in a short mini and dripping in pendants.
Models Chanel Iman and Naomi Campbell are both featured in the latest issue of V Magazine. The icon and icon in training both give good face for the magazine’s first ever swimsuit edition. Naomi landed the cover of one of 6 the magazine released and did so with bunny ears on. Channeling a bit of Marilyn Monroe I believe, the 90s icon is captured all decked out in full Playboy Bunny attire. And though Chanel did not land a cover for herself, the young model did get face time inside the magazine and gave insight on her future acting plans, what her tattoos mean and what model she most aspires to be like.
Glamour Magazine celebrates it’s 70th Anniversary by paying tribute to 13 women they consider icons. Among those chosen were First Lady Michelle Obama, singer Billie Holiday and 1950’s tennis star, Athena Gibson.
Helping Glamour to pay tribute to these women, singer Alicia Keys, actress Paula Patton, and model Chanel Iman, all posed as their icon and shared their thoughts on the impact these women have had on their lives.
I didn’t know this until the other day, and I don’t know if it’s a good thing, or bad, but Chanel Iman is the first black model to walk the runways of Gucci, since 2005. It may sound bad, but what’s worst is that British model, Jourdan Dunn, walked for Prada last season, and was the first brown sista in 10yrs!!
Former Gucci designer, Tom Ford, ended his reign in 2005, so maybe it’s the fault of current designer, Frida Giannini, why it has taken so long. And, why only one black model? I know it might not seem like there’s a lot of black models around, but believe me, there are. They just don’t get the same chances.
Such is the case with these printed thigh high boots from Tom Ford the singer was spotted wearing over the weekend.
The designer gifted the 25-year old pop diva with the boots just before her sold out concert at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Rihanna was later spotted wearing them out for an evening of partying with bestie Melissa Ford.
The $4,200 peep toe boots are a part of Tom’s Winter/Fall 2013 collection which was unveiled earlier this year and aren’t yet available to the public.
Rihanna paired the unusual boots with a zippered white Trapstar t-shirt and bedazzled black and white Chanel cuffs.
This year’s theme was ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’ and features an exhibition that examines Punk music’s impact on high fashion since its inception back in the late 1970s.
Attendees usually dress with the theme in mind, though this is not always the case. Example, Madonna did it right, as did Miley Cyrus and even Jennifer Lopez with her punk hair do.
On the other hand, many did it wrong, including this year’s Honorary Chair Beyonce Knowles, who showed up in an outfit that looked like Mama Tina made it.
The same goes for Nicki Minaj who just looked cheap. Maybe like J-Lo her hairstyle was a homage to the Punk era.
Others like Solange, Kerry Washington, Alicia Keys and Chanel Iman also skipped the Punk theme but still looked cute nonetheless.
Check out a few pics below, including my faves, rapper Eve and actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
The Alan Ferguson directed clip finds Janelle trading in her tuxedo for high fashion duds from Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Givenchy.
Janelle described the video in a recent interview with Billboard as “avant-garde high art with socially conscious twerking.”
You all can judge that statement for yourselves.
Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
The 32-year old brown skin beauty hit another fashionable home run when she attended the GLADD Media Awards over the weekend decked out in a $3,200 white jumpsuit from British fashion house Izmaylova.
The tuxedo inspired ‘Daisy’ jumpsuit is made of silk and features a gathered halter neck and sheer back and waist made of organza. The trouser portion is seamless and fully lined for a relaxed fit that perfectly elongates any silhouette.
Kelly kept her accessories to a minimum, pairing her look with simple gold hoops and a bracelet. For a pop of color Kelly wore coral nail polish by Chanel.
The Covergirl spokesmodel was lensed for the May issue sporting her signature pompadour which she accentuated with bold red lips, vintage Chanel earrings and a cream colored Yves Saint Laurent blouse.
In her feature story, Janelle spoke with Essence contributing writer Lola Ogunnaike about her image, which the singer says she purposely crafted to keep the focus on her music and not on her looks.
“People don’t ask Jay-Z to take off his shirt when he rhymes,” says Janelle. “Showing my skin is not what makes me sexy. I like skirts and dresses just like everyone else, but I had a message I needed to put out there. It was up to me to show young girls there was another way to be successful in this industry.”
Janelle’s issue of Essence hits newsstands next week. Her new album ‘Electric Lady,’ is due out later this summer.
