MTV recently aired a behind the scenes look at this year’s 2009 Video Music Awards and a brief clip of the audience appears to show Beyonce trying to stop Lil Mama from crashing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance. By no means is the footage scandalous, it is however interesting to see Lil Mama’s state before she went on stage and Beyonce’s reaction to her crashing her husband’s performance.
When Nivea first hit the music scene back in the early 2000’s I wasn’t really a fan because her music (Laundromat, Don’t Mess With The Radio) always seemed as if it were missing something. She took a break, then came back with songs like Okay (written by The-Dream) and 25 Reasons, which I loved! Then she disappeared again. In 2007, Def Jam music producer and artist Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash popped up and I fell in love with his music. Then I found out that he was married to Nivea. I said, “HOLD UP! Isn’t Nivea with Lil’ Wayne?” NO! Nivea & Lil’ Wayne used to date, but she’s now with and married to, and has babies with The-Dream. Okayyy.
Fast forward to late 2009: [Nivea is now divorced from The-Dream, whom she has 3 children with (11 months apart; second set are twins). And, she along with popular black actress Lauren London (who also dated Lil’ Wayne years back) are now getting ready to birth Lil’ Wayne’s 3rd and 4th child. Is it me, or is something wrong with this picture? Of course something’s wrong here! Especially since Toya, Lil’ Wayne’s ex-wife and mother of his first born, has her own show on BET and pretty much tells us that she is indeed still in love with Dwayne ‘Lil’ Wayne’ Carter.]
In this video, Nivea reaveals that The-Dream was the one who filed for divorce, that she’s been “poppin’ them babies out” for the past few years, and tells Lil’ Wayne “I love you too!”
I was forced to write this post after seeing the video to Nivea’s new song Love Hurts. Aside from the video and styling looking extremely low budget, Lil’ Wayne played a role in this video similar to his own life with the songstress. This just makes me think these two are even crazier than I thought. Why are you painting a picture for us?…of how things went with you two, and about how much love hurts and now he’s leaving you?…Yaddi yaddi yah! You just gave birth to his baby, and your FOURTH child! Now you’re singing about it?! Girl, sit down.
I just don’t understand. It’s obvious that Lil’ Wayne is feeding these women the same pills Diddy has been grooming his stable-women on since the beginning of Justin (Diddy’s first born; with Misa Hilton). I say this because all Lil’ Wayne’s babies mothers hang out with one another, and never say anything bad about Wayne as if he’s some sort of God! Like wtf! Excuse me?! I have NEVER heard of this type of mess in the black community. Usually you’d here that each woman is after the other one, trying to burn her house down, etc, etc. But I guess we’ve figured it out. What’s the secret to keeping your babies mothers happy? — MONEY! And, plenty of it!
Toya said [In a Sister2Sister Magazine interview last June] that she does not allow any women Lil’ Wayne “talks” to, besides Nivea, around their daughter. But, in November, Toya & Lil’ Wayne held a sleep-over birthday party for their 11yr old daughter Reginae. Wayne’s Asian baby mama, Sarah (as she’s known on the ‘net) was invited…with she and Wayne’s son. WEIRD. I guess Toya reconsidered. Then for Christmas, Wayne invited all his children and their moms including Lauren London and Nivea to his mansion for the big holiday. Lil’ Wayne gave gifts (money and diamonds, apparently) to all the moms. WEIRD AGAIN. I guess neither of these women have true feelings for this man. Either that, or they have no respect for themselves. I mean really? I just had your baby less than two months ago, and I’ve already gotten over the pain of knowing that some other chick did too, just so I can come get my gift and make you happy?! — Like who the hell is Lil’ Wayne that they even care to keep him happy?! These women are nuts!
But, whatever. I know this is not my business so they can do what they feel. I’m just hoping this isn’t the start of all black women, and women in general feeling it is okay to live a life like this. I believe if a man loves you, he won’t ask, nor expect you to share! Now that is food for thought.
Monique Lhuillier gowns, Zac Posen dresses, Cartier jewels, and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds. What could make any celeb-fashion event better? — Music! Condé Nast’s 5th Annual ‘Fashion Rocks’ concert took place last night @ NYC’s Radio City Music Hall. Celebeauties like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Solange, Mariah, Mary J, and much more performed, but the biggest attraction was, of course, the fashion.
