I can’t get enough of Mrs. Obama. She looks glamourous while gracing the November issue of Glamour Magazine. If you ever wondered how she and President Obama have such a solid and strong foundation in their marriage well it’s no need to wonder anymore. Mrs. Obama gives some great dating advice in this issue we all can use. Here’s an excerpt, “Cute’s good, but cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s who are you as a person. Don’t look at the bank book or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul. When you’re dating a man you should always feel good. You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who dosen’t make you completely happy and feel whole.” Be sure to pick up this edition of Glamour.
The elegant and exquisite Michelle Obama is gracing yet another cover of a great magazine. The November issue of Prevention Magazine features our First Lady Michelle Obama. She gets personal with the magazine discussing the meaning of good health, aging, exercise, diet, and my favorite her beauty routines. The bad news is I couldn’t find any excerpts on her daily beauty routines to share with you all, but the great news is it will be available to the public the first week of November. Be sure to pick it up!
As my granny would say “Lawd Hammercy”. If you thought Michelle Obama’s arms caused a controversy you ain’t seen nothing yet. The media is still obsessed with finding things to criticize Michelle about. So obsessed, they went back over 25 years ago and found a photo of her at her high school prom. So what’s the big deal you say? Well you guys better sit down for this. The photo shows Michelle wearing a dress with a… a… oh my gosh I just can’t say it- you guys are gonna have to click over to the next page to see it for yourselves.
After sharing the cover of her magazine with her slimmer self a couple months back, Oprah Winfrey is for the first time sharing it with somebody else: First Lady Michelle Obama.
Everyday when I get up I do a daily search of Barack and Michelle Obama news. So far this week stories about Michelle’s bare arms have been all the talk online. Apparently some people are seriously mortified that Michelle is (gasp) showing her arms. Some have argued that it shows a lack of class, but you guys know me- I have a different argument. I think some people are mortified not just by Michelle’s super toned and sculpted arms, but by the fact that there is a Black First Lady period and that she doesn’t look like mammy. Some parts of this country simply cannot deal with a sista who doesn’t fit the stereotype of what a Black woman should be or look like. The talk of Michelle’s exposed arms will no doubt continue as she is once again exposing them in her official White House portrait. This photo is causing as much a firestorm as the sight of her at the President’s address to Congress did.
People magazine will feature stylish First Lady Michelle Obama on the cover of the next issue, which comes out Friday. While the mag is sure to fly off newsstands, something else is likely to fly out stores as well: the lovely pink dress she is wearing by Tracy Reese. Lady O’s style inspires many in the fashion industry, so we applaud her for using the opportunity to support Reese by wearing the designer’s “Guipure Lace Kimono Dress'” in a pretty shade dubbed “Dried Azalea.” With her new updo hairstyle, the cut, color and fabrication certainly reminds us that she is right on trend for a First Lady.
