Rumor: Chicago Med Renewed + Full Cast to Return
While no official announcement has been made yet, it’s pretty much a given (according to Variety) that Yaya DaCosta’s hit NBC series Chicago Med will be returning for a third season. Among its scripted shows, the hospital-based drama is NBC’s sixth highest rated in demo (avg 1.26), third highest rated in total viewership (avg 6.7 mil.) and is part of Dick Wolf’s always reliable ‘Chicago’ franchise.
Yaya DaCosta Brings Back the 70’s at ‘The Nice Guys’ Premiere
Chicago Med actress Yaya DaCosta was a vision of loveliness earlier this week as she walked the red carpet at the premiere of her latest film The Nice Guys. Yaya was lensed wearing a $1,900 Kasie Rose Multi-Texture Plaited Jacquard Jumpsuit, which she smartly paired with platform heels and minimalistic jewelry by Pomellato.
Another Network Show Promotes Black Female Lead But Doesn’t Follow Through
While I haven’t had a lot of time to watch television lately, I have made it a point to try and keep up with a few new fall shows. High on my list was Chicago Med, which co-stars former America’s Next Top Model contestant Yaya DaCosta.
Hospital and procedural type shows usually aren’t my thing, but because DaCosta was being promoted as the show’s female lead, I decided to tune in to show my support. I did the same thing a few years ago with Sleepy Hollow, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I actually like the show.
