Wow. Check out Alicia Keys’ cover art for her “Element of Freedom” CD. Alicia gets a big thumbs up from me. I totally love it. This is by far her most interesting cover and she looks amazing.

I love this cover and she does look amazing. As far as her voice im tired of people saying singers can’t sing….wth Alicia has a nice voice whether you like it or not doesn’t mean she can’t sing!
No Alicia is not the best Singer but i think what people like about her is that she is that classy Black woman in the swarm of ***** Now i heard she stole someone husband which seems so stupid to me since you can’t steal a husband, But i’m pretty sure black women will make her forever pay by not buying her album and what not Whatever if the music is good im buyin if not im criticizing end of the story
The look is different for sure, it’ alright, she’s looks good and I’m sure her new cd will have two or three songs that really hit home for a lot of people! It’s the kind of music she makes.
You can depend on Jill Scott to give you the sweetness of love and the bitter, which was dark and not as appealing, understandably so, going through a divorce, Erykah the truth, Melanie Fiona, the bizness, Kindred, the struggles of self, relationship and family, Kenny Latimore and Chante Moore, great love duets, Floetry, now disbanded, “the flow” Janet, the dance, the video, melodic ballads, Jhud, the true gospel of rnb, Keisha Cole, the highs and lows of love and trust, Rihanna, Beyonce and Ciara, the video and sometimes a work of art (“Disturbia,” “Me, Myself and I,” “Like A Boy”)!
Alicia will continue with her tradition of making music with reflection (“A woman’s worth”) without great vocals, she still makes you listen to what she’s saying over what she looks like, that’s pretty good considering she’s a really beautiful woman.

Looks good to me. She is feeling free to look how she wants. I like that she is not doing the typical album cover and is brave enough to not show her hair, most female artist would be scared to take that chance since they rely on their hair too much in the entertainment world. Bring on the 15th!!

Never expect this kind of cover from her but this one is very beautiful to me. However, if she drop her head piece and let her long hair down, she would look like a Victoria`s Secret model. ^^

The cover doesn’t matter to me. Its in the trash once I wrangle the cd out of that tough plastic. I just know that whats between the plastic is a million times better than the garbage with pretty covers. AKeys is the truth.

If there were a “Sing-off” and the artists listed below were to sing two songs, one acapella and the other, with only the accompaniment of a piano or acoustic guitar, a stool and one spotlight, no backup singers, a very much stripped-down unplugged session, who would be number one, which artists would be the top five?
It would be a vocal blood bath and so hard to choose, these girls would PERFORM! We have plenty of very good singers who just don’t get wide exposure, promotional dollars and radio play. We should support them regardless of what record companies do for them!

Some years back I caught the “Sugar Water Festival” with Jill, Erykah, Queen Latifah and Floetry and all were great, but Jill slayed and together onstage they mesmerized! There’s room for more than a few artists and we have to support not only superstars like Alicia, Mary, Beyonce and Rihanna, but less visible, but highly talented artists! It’s sad with so much talent that today black artists feel a need to go Pop to sell music. We need to put rnb back where it belongs!
I absolutely love Alicia Keys as a great talent in spite of the negative press recently. I feel that she is a true musician! We need more artist who are just as talented.
