It was a day of musical performances this morning in New York City. At almost the same time Rihanna was giving her outdoor concert on Good Morning America… Alicia Keys was doing the same on The Today Show. Alicia’s “Element of Freedom” album will hit stores on December 15th and the singer performed several songs from that LP- as well as a few others from her very impressive 8 year old catalog.

That whether took a toll on her vocals in this performance still a solid performance, and great song. I see she’s not trying to dance in this performance lol.
I just listened to “Empire State of Mind Part 2″ and…it’s FIYAH one of Alicia’s best 4real.
for this performance i can give her the benefit of doubt considering the weather but even on record, there has been a significant decline in her vocals. More hoarse, less range, less control, more..yells. Even if one compares As I Am, to Songs in A Minor you can here it. Luckily her songwriting and production skills are strong so the music is good..but, as of late, tho voice isn’t that great. I’m just saying, in my opinion.
So fly. Love her.
