Amerie just doesn’t have anything to offer the American market. Maybe she is unique over there but here she is nothing special and hasn’t had one hit to justify the amount of attention she gets.
I love Amerie, but I cannot say I’m pleased with her most recent work. I do think it’s fitting that she has greater success in the UK, as does Kelis. I’ve always been in awe of the soul/R&B market and scene in the UK. I could never dismiss a coulture that gave us LuLu and Amy Winehouse.
They would had have to give me gass money and the money to buy the cd to get me to purchase this album. No excitement or anything about it. She needs to date TI or somebody because she doesn’t catch the interest of people. It’s almost bigger than music.
