An email alert from promotion company Bill Silva Presents says that because of “throat problems incurred after performing at the Detroit Pistons game, Anita Baker is cancelling two West Coast shows.”
Kira Finkenberg, the company’s PR rep told us that she had no specific details about the incident.
Obviously this is bad news for Anita Baker, her fans and all concerned. The dates and venues in question are the Hollywood Bowl in LA on Friday, June 9 and the Chronicle Pavillion in Concord California on Saturday, June 10.
The email went on to note that efforts will be made to notify ticket buyers in advance of any future appearances in the market. It also said that refunds are available at all points of purchase.
