Ashanti’s first stop was NBC, where she taped an interview with ‘New York Live’ hosts Jacque Reid and Sara Gore. Ashanti spoke about her role and revealed Lifetime’s plans to include music from her upcoming ‘Braveheart’ album in several episodes.
Ashanti also revealed a new single, ‘Never Should Have,’ will be released soon, and that she will be taping the video this weekend.
As for the ‘Braveheart’ album, after several pushbacks, Ashanti says the project will now be released in June.

Ashanti is a smart girl. Her music may no longer be topping the charts, but she has made wise decisions through the years that have really paid off and kept her constantly employed in one way or another.
I’m glad to see opportunities continually coming her way.
I have always adored Ashanti. She’s very pretty with an enormous likable positive attitude. All those yrs in the business and she is still just as down to Earth as she was in the beginning. I wish nothing but the best for her.
