In the absence of new music to promote, Ashanti is instead focusing on her various philanthropy projects. The singer, who has been heavily involved in the Boys & Girls Club of America, joined actor Mario Lopez over the weekend to serve meals to needy children at their “Million Meal Summer Event” in Los Angeles, California.
Ashanti recently sat down to speak with Essence Magazine about her involvement with the organization, as well as what she has coming up in 2010.
