Aunjanue Ellis Nabs Lead Role in ‘Quantico’ Pilot

Actress Aunjanue Ellis, who was recently seen in the BET mini-series “The Book of Negroes,” has landed the lead female role on the upcoming ABC drama Quantico.

The show revolves around a group of FBI recruits who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. Ellis will play the character of Miranda, the base’s director, who oversees the training of all new enlistees.

Ellis joins a line-up that already includes Tate Ellington, the show’s male lead, and Graham Rogers.

Aunjanue also joins fellow actresses Meagan Good, Yaya DaCosta, Vanessa Williams and Jill Marie Jones, who were all recently tapped to star in upcoming TV pilots.

  1. I missed out on “Book of Negroes” because my cable provider cancelled all VIACOM programming some months back. But I intend to rent it once available. I love miss Ellis. Glad to see more of “us” in lead roles. I will definitely check out this show and others.
