Beyoncé & Jay-Z Get Marriage License

Singer Beyoncé Knowles and her long-time boyfriend, Jay-Z, have reportedly obtained a marriage license in New York. People magazine reports that the pair took out the license, which is valid for 60 days, on Tuesday morning. When asked to confirm the reports, a representative for Beyoncé said: “No comment.” The couple, who have been dating since 2002, have previously sparked wedding rumors on a number of occasions so this too may just be another rumor. Even People magazine have been known to get their facts screwed up. And please correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t a marriage license the last stage of an actual marriage? When I got married we applied for the married license in May and got married in July. So the applying for the marriage license is before the actual ceremony. After the ceremony, we had to go to vital statistics to sign the final paperwork.

Yes applying for the license is first. I don’t know if that is true. I heard they did this in Scarsdale, NY, that is about 15 minutes from where I live….Oh Snap :()

It depends on the state but you have to get the license before the ceremony (civil or religious). The license is the first step.

They need to get married. Marriage is a beautiful thing. I was dating my wife for one year when I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. We planned our wedding in six months (it was a day I will never forget). We are getting ready to celebrate our fifth year of marriage. What bothers me is that these two never show any type of love and affection when they are in the public. I show my wife affection when we are at home and out in public. I am proud to be with her. 11 years later we are still together i’m in love with love lol

I’ve seen the matching tatoos on their ring fingers in pictures. It is the Roman numeral IV. Don’t know what it means though. I love that they keep it on the downlow.

Great for them. Maybe now Beyonce will resume back to making great music like she did with Dangerously in Love. That was the time when she was just falling in love with Jay Z and it showed in her music (and demeanor). But I swear, after that album, her music hasn’t had much substance to it. Beyonce has to really relate to something for her heart to be in it. Her heart wasn’t in B-day and all the other songs she did after Dangerously. In fact, I believe she was a bit pissed off (maybe with Jay-Z and all the rumors) when she did B-day.
So, if what I said is true, then gone get married yall. Cause I’m ready for that sultry, sexy Beyonce music to come back. My opinion!!!!

I dont think Beyonce really wants to marry right now, I just think that she is under pressure from everyone not just in music. Everyone wants a piece of her including Jay, he is almost 40 with no kids and marriage……so she may feel pressure from him to tie the knot and start a family now.

I think it wonderful that a beautiful black couple are doing the right thing. There are so many negative comments swirling about them, however I think that with as much influence, and power that they each have, it would be a positive thing for the black community to see them get married. The License comes first we applied for ours three weeks before the wedding. And the preacher had to sign it at the ceremony along with our signatures. But congratulations to them I think that they make a good couple contrary to what a lot of people say.

Well,thew buzz is that they have a secret wedding planned today. Reportedly, Kelly, and Michelle are held up in a hotel in Manhattan. A huge white tent has allegedly been errected atop Jay-Z’s rooftop in New york, and hundreds of flowers have been delivered. Also he was seen out partying the other night surrounded by beautiful women, which some speculate could have been a bachelor party. The couple allegedly have matching tattoos on their ring finger, the Roman numeral IV. Beyonce’s bday is Sept. 4, and Jay-Z is Dec. 4. honestly people…if this couple was not Jay-Z and Beyonce, there would not be a conversation about it at all……What I am trying to say is that we are missing the bigger picture. They are people like us, except with more money and fame…and I’m sure they want their business to remain their business.
In the world of entertainment, when you sign up to be famous you also sign up for the risk of everyone in the WORLD being in your business and sometimes there is a point where you have to draw the line…. Beuaty is in the eye of the beholder. One person monster is another person’s dream. Maybe you don’t think he is nice looking but he might be the best looking man in the world to her. And She was brought up by a strong man who took very good care of her you can’t see why she would not be attracted to someone like him. Wether we want to admit it or not we marry our fathers. I really want to see pictures, too. Christina put hers up on her site (no shame in her average looking guy!) and I just loved seeing them. I doubt Beyonce would do that, but it would be nice. People get married everyday. When they stay married more than eight years then I give them a congrats. Marriage is hard work . It takes alot of trust patience understanding commitment security etc. Without any of those things and more a marriage doesn’t stand a chance. Plus they in the public eye so that just make things even more worse cause you have to deal with outside people and groupies and what not. I guess as long as she knows he is with her than I guess everybody else means nothing.
I don’t really see what the big deal is about these two. Being with someone is one thing, getting married is another. That’s a whole other level that they don’t even know about yet. What he will put up with what she will put up with . I have been in a with my husband for 8 yrs and we been together for 12 all together so until they reach my numbers and beyond then they just newbies to the game . This is the real test and it is only just the beginning for them. Hell they can’t even admit to people that they are married lol . Whether the fans or media is in there lives or not it is gonna take work.
Hell Janet was married for nine years without people knowing and it still bombed . What does that tell you ? The media does not have to be in there lives for it not to work out. But the more people out of it I guess they think is better. I am not going to say Congrats . I am just going to say good luck.
