Beyonce & Jay-Z: Together And Ringless

Singer Beyonce and her supposed new husband, rapper Jay Z, were spotted last night attending the Rockets vs. Suns game at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. As usual, Bey and Jay occupied seats at courtside and Beyonce, thinking she was slick, spent much of the night holding her hand in a very awkward fashion, so as to make sure she was photographed by the press not wearing a wedding ring. Just look at the pic above. Have you ever in your life seen anyone hold their hand in such a weird way? Who holds their hand straight down like that? LOL. Beyonce is such an undercover media whore. She knows the public is waiting for some sort of verification from her that they are married and rather than give it to them flat out, she plays games instead.

I wish I could be mad at this chick but I can’t. Let’s face it, these two haven’t even so much as admitted they even know each other, so the public should not be surprised that they won’t admit to being married. This couple is super private (and obviously teaching Rihanna and Chris Brown their secrets) and that is their way of protecting the relationship. I don’t ever expect these two to admit to being married and I definitely do not believe the blog created lies about Beyonce’s father selling the wedding pics. Bey and Jay are too classy for that. Mark my words, if they ever come clean about the deed they won’t sell themselves to the highest bidder. Instead, look for Bey and Jay wedding pics to turn in a magazine like Ebony or Essence.

Click Beyonce’s name above to see more ringless pics of her and Jay in our gallery.

  1. I don’t know Brown sista, I really don’t think that pics of the nupitals will ever see the light of day, @ least to the public eye. For the simple fact as many have stated the 2 have never really admitted their relationship, even in mags such as Essence & Ebony. But I have to agree w/ u the 2, Bey & Jay, are so loving this. Realistically(sp?) they don’t have to tell anyone a thing. It won’t make anyone’s world turn or stop, but it is another thing to get off on the fact that ppl really want to know & to taunt them. In the pics above, ur right it is being done purposely to show the hand. It ‘s as if she saying I know you all think I am married, so if I am where’s my ring lol. So the way I look @ it is if they want to play the game, play it w/ them. If 1 of them is to be interviewed, I say the interviewer should blow right past the “marriage” question. The more folks do this they will see that ppl aren’t falling for the bait. When that begins to happen it’ll sober them up quick, showin thAt folks don’t care & then it will stop them from hoggin the media spotlight. Frankly, I think that’s exactly what everyone should do, stop talking about it. I also think this should be done for other celebs as well. Watch how fast they’ll spill the beans b/c they’ll be going thru withdrawls from lack of media coverage. However, whenever Bey gets preggors I would like 2 know how they’ll handle that. Will Solange, Kelly, Michelle, or mama Tina pop up w/ another kid that Bey happens to take care of alll the time lol? Really makes u wonder. But for all of u who are dying to know if they are or not married, I’ll make the “official” announcement for u. They are married & they don’t want u to 2 know. Now move on w/ life. Happy now? Good, now proceed..

  2. Beyonce looks cute in this pic. I’ve never been a fan of two-toned hair, but it is her makeup that I’m feeling.

It they are married, I wish them well. If not, I still wish them well.

Many celebs (Beyonce included) would sell their souls to keep the camera’s on them even though they swear they want privacy and to be left alone. Example? Look at this pic – why the awkward hand pose? Of course it is to keep the gossip going. Are they married? Are they still single? This chick knows how to keep her name in the press!

Still, if she doesn’t want the world to know for sure if she and her man are actually husband and wife, that’s her business. Cute dress too.

  3. Aww, she looks so sad in the eyes! Of course she could be happy as hell, but all I have is a picture. I was a lot more excited about wanting to know the wedding details and the wedding confirmation and all that, but now I’m like “Blah…whatever…”. Though, reading some of the gossip and their reactions (especially Jay’s pretending), I somewhat believe that it may be him that doesn’t want anyone to know, and she’s the one that goes along with it. Beyonce has said in an interview before that she knows people are interested in their relationship, and that she was the same way about celeb couples. People just want to keep up with these folks.

People can say “they want to stay private”, but privacy doesn’t necessarily mean ignoring that a relationship exists and that a marriage exists. You could easily say “Yeah, we’re married.”, and heck even give photos and hold hands, and still have a private relationship, because no one knows what’s going on in your home and between you two but you two. But if their definition of keeping a wedding private is playing “Hide the Ring”, the they can keep playing. Hope they win.

  4. I WILL ADMIT THAT I AM A B STATER (STAN/HATER)
In some ways this is annoying for the simple fact of STOP PLAYING GAMES. When the media speculated about them being married a few times, B and J sent statements to their publicist to tell their fans they are not married nor with child. You do not have to say from your mouth “we are married”, but at least wear your “roc”, then people will leave you alone. Beyonce has many young girls looking up to her and it looks bad on their part. Dont make it our business when you want to make money and sale records.

  5. That sould let people know that they don’t care what people think about them.Or say about them. They looks so happy.

  6. you are so right….the thing that baffles me is that they work for years to be in the spotlight and then all of sudden want to be private..GO FIGURE!!

  7. The story is so boring, over with and pointless, because I dont think that they will ever admit its true… even though it’s so obvious. A media whore? Correct.

  8. Look at those ppl in the background posing and smiling like somebody taking a pic of them….
don’t nobody wanna see their @$$es- LOL! Ppl funny- I bet that black girl behind Jay is all up on the internet now looking for these damn pix. On the phone talkin ’bout, “Ooohh gurl, I’m in a picture wit Jay and BeYONce!”

    {ahahahahaha}

  9. What’s the point of hiding a marriage? Who cares if they are married or not? If I was married to the love of my life I’d tell everyone.

  10. WHY IS EVERYBODY ACTING LIKE THIS, THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PRIVITE ABOUT THEIR RELATIONSHIP. THEY LIKE THE LIGHT ON THEM WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR MUSIC. BUT THEY NEVER LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THEIR PERSON LIFES. IM A HUGE BEE FAN BUT SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO TELL US ANYTHING IF SHE DOES NOT WANT TO.

  11. Actually Step that is her right hand she is holding in that akward position. Her left hand with her ring finger is not shown or hidden. I don’t care either way if they come out and say they are or are not married. I think they’re enjoying keeping everyone guessing. There are people, even some of the press that are PISSED that they haven’t fessed up. I think it’s hilarious, I mean why does it matter to people so much. And if being evasive about there relationship was gonna backfire on them I think it would have happenend by now, I mean it has been six years, but since there will never be a shortage of nosey people(myself included at times) they’ll continue to peak our interest.

  12. Why are ya’ll so worried about their relationship if they want to keep it private let them. For example look at all the famouse people who let their relationship open to the public ,but yet the marriage seemed to fail like: Babyface and Tracie, Bobby and Whitney, Vanessa and Rick Fox, hell Nick and Jessica Simpson who had their lives taped on MTV, along with Withney and Bobby on The Being Bobby Brown Show. so i don’t blame them do what you do and don’t isten to all these bloggin a@* hatin a@* commenters.

  13. I think their privacy is calculated…meaning that they make themselves public intentionally while claiming to want privacy. Jay Z is a billionaire. If he doesn’t want to be seen with her in public, he knows that there are ways to make sure that they aren’t seen. They don’t have to go to MR. Chows…Mr. Chow will come to them. So they are not trying to be private, they enjoy the public’s constant inquiry. That is the definition of a media whore…But……….back to my constant refrain–they are getting their money so more power to them.

So yes, Steph, I agree with you. And along those lines, I’m not mad at them either.

  14. They have matching tattoos. No need for a ring in my opinion, that is pretty darn permanent.

  15. Stephanie, Yes, I think the evasiveness will backfire….and soon. We know they are private but the games are really silly now and even some of her fans (that I know) are growing tired of it. It’s really corny, you can admit you are married and happy w/out spilling all of your beans. I think after a while people are just going to ignore them, which is one reason why their wedding story turned up in only ONE of the weeklies (magazines). People thought it was racism but I think they just felt like there was nothing to see b/c their wasn’t. and Steph I have been saying Beyonce is media Whore! She fronts like she wants privacy……it’s getting too old.

  16. Im sure the media would have had more to cover on the wedding if they actually had information and pics, Im sure they tried. That wedding was planned very well, NOBODY HAS PICTURES OF B IN HER WEDDING DRESS…So really theres no story! Jay and B got exactly what they wanted! No press coverage, just a plain and simple wedding!

  17. Well, keeping their marriage in the family is indeed a ploy to tease the media to milk all the attention they can muster, but its their life and their business. I don’t have to buy into it. I just keep on moving. If they want to live their lives like thieves or secret lovers, that’s their choice. Best wishes to them.

I just want to know what da hell is Beyonce wearing at a basketball game? Does that country bumpkin not know that a ‘Sunday go to meeting’ dress is not appropriate attire for a sports event? Is she just there to be seen or she really a sports fan? And, what the heck is that mess on her head? Does she really think thats cute? I swear she always comes out like a dumb blonde. She is pretty and all, but she always looks totally clueless. I guess Jay is the one with the brains in the family. LOL!

She needs a stylist and an education ASAP!

  18. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO WORRIED ABOUT HER AND THAT MAN NOT WEARING THEIR WEDDING RINGS (IF THEY ARE MARRIED) I MEAN REALLY…SNOOP AND HIS WIFE ARE MARRIED BUT YOU DON’T SEE HIM WEARING A WEDDING RING SO WHAT’S YOUR POINT????

  19. Actually Beyonce is on the cover of two weeklies. Saw it at the store earlier. They both know they are playing the press and fans. Its another way for them to keep all eyes on them. Will it backfire on them? Who knows. It is a bit of a bore to keep reading/seeing so much speculation though. I think maybe they are biding their time for that right (most profitable…be it financial or publicity wise) moment to shout it from the rooftops. They have been doing this for years being the celebs that they are. I dont know why some deem their actions noble or more than they are. They know keeping mum about them as they have for the past years will keep folks guessing. The sooner the press stops giving a darn the sooner all the speculation will be moot. But thats not likely to happen. 😆

  20. I think it may be out of frustration that people wanting to know and hiding the so-call obvious just fuel the fire.

  21. “Does anyone think the evasiveness will backfire on them?” Of course it will…

When they have an album or else out ,all of the soudain pictures of them together are out… they are laughing, whispering and much more…

Black folks are nosy as all hell ,these two know and they play it really good…
At the same time no one is pressing a gun to our temp forcing us to talk about us so maybe we are the one making them more important than they are…All i know is that one day boredom will take over than maybe they will be rumor of a sextape out….

Btw that stephie(if i can call you like that) people could mistake me for you its not even funny!!!!How do you sign up on brownsista? and have you tought of the african american erotica books i told you about?

  22. Rather silly that folks are upset that Jay and Bee won’t share their personal lives with them. Bee and Jay have been together for 6 years. They don’t hide their relationship. You see them all the time vacationing all around the world. You see the all the time going out to dinner and attending basketball games, industry parties, awards, etc. They don’t hide!LOL What you don’t see is them talking about their private lives. They have never conducted an interview together. They have never posed for magazines together. True Bee and Jay fans no the deal!LOL Their are not upset. It’s the so called non fans that are upset. They are mad that they have been denied the opportunity to hate. You can’t talk about her weave in the wedding pics. You can’t talk about the Tina Knowles creation she was wearing. You can’t talk about the flowers or this /that looking cheap! You have been denied conversation to one ofthe must beautiful moment in their lives.LOL

  23. No, the evasiness will not backfire. They have been this way for 6 years. The folks who are bothered aren’t the ones supporting her in the first place. Her real fans are looking forward to the next album.

  24. Well said Missy. Well said. Beyonce actually made the cover of PEOPLE and US WEEKLY, even without any pictures of the event, but was featured in the rest. I also don’t think racism was a factor to this, but rather the lack of pictures of the event. Personally, I think PEOPLE and US should have waited to get EXCLUSIVE pictures before putting her on the cover. In touch, OK and Star made the right decision only to feature her because who would buy a mag which has a wedding as its cover story but has no pictures of the wedding? Will the evasiveness backfire? Only time will tell.

  25. thank you! i agree with Sean! I’m so sick of this Bigga madness! how many of yall who are married or in serious relationships have your family and friends all in yall business, okay so they’re in the spot light! ‘FOR THEIR MUSIC” every one knows when to many people are in your relationship it never works, J-lo, Puffy, Brad and Jen,and everyone else in that business! so no i dont blam them. Its their lives and if they dont want to tell these nosey ass haters and groupies their business I dont blam them.. If people treat these so called famous people like their regulars, then maybe they wouldnt do the stupid ish that they do, like Ms Spears, Ms. Lohan, and all of these other people who make mistakes like the rest of us regular folk and have it blown out of control.

I’M JUST SAYING LET IT GO… they know what they have, and until they’re ready to tell you what you want to know. Its clear they’re saying mind your damn business and stay out of ours! period!

  26. Sorry Missy, I missed your comment.. I second you with that comment! I think back when i was in a relationship with my 2nd Ex, everyone had something to say and wanted and needed to know everything, this time with my husband, I keep every one the F out.. people love and need drama and would rather be all in your relationship while theirs is falling apart.

  27. I don’t think that they are married yet, but engaged instead…It was probably an engagement party and are planning the real wedding soon. The way they are acting seems like their plan to get the media annoyed. They know that people will get tired of this story after a while and leave them alone. That is when “BOOM” the real wedding is going to happen. Without all the paps taking pictures of it.
Do you honestly believe that Bigga would let their wedding be open to everyone like this?? Allowing people to know where the location, the time and the date is??? Nope, not Beyonce and Jay-Z, they are to private for all this media frenzy. The 04/04/08 event was a ploy to take the attention away from the real wedding that is coming soon!
There have been many wedding rumors in the past, and Beyonce said many time before that whenever she will be married, she will be the first to let everyone know. I believe her and I’m willing to bet on it…

  28. Damn Missy hit the nail on the M*****F****** head! Thats all I gotta say. Gone ‘head girl!

  29. @Stephanie Why are you so upset about them not confirming their marriage? Were you this upset when your idol Janet Jackson turned up married and didnt tell you or anyone else? Her and Jermaine for the longest didnt talk about their relationship were you upset then? Shes purposely holding out her RIGHT hand so you can see she isnt wearing a ring but then you turn that around and say some people wear their rings on the right hand? Are you serious? Who? You like most who are upset about them not confirming swear you arent fans but you’re THIS upset about not knowing exactly whats going on in her personal life. A media whore would have sold her pics and been talking about it leading up to it. You know getting as much press as possible lets say like Eva Longoria. You and other forms of media and the public are the ones who havent let it go. Im sure they didnt contact you and ask you to keep it up. You are because you hella interested just admit that but you or noone else is entitled to their personal life. Of course they want press and attention when they are working but they have NEVER made their relationship a topic. Stop acting like youre suprised or were REALLY expecting some pics or confirmation. Maybe they will confirm one day and maybe they wont but geesh does it really matter! Sorry had to do that!

  30. Oh and one more question how do you know how long her hand was in that position? Its a snapshot. Were you there and watching her the entire time or are you one of those special people that can just “tell”?

  31. @ Curious

What makes you think I am “upset” ? I get the feeling you did not read the entire post, as I echo some of your very sentiments

Celebrities do not upset me, but you seem quite upset. Why? Do you want to talk?

And I am 36 years old- I do not have any idols. Idols are for teenage girls looking for an identity. I already know who I am.

FYI: I have made all of three posts concerning this topic since it hit the news over a week ago- probably less than most other Black blogs online.

  32. I want to know whan did Janet and Jermaine Dupri get married?

  33. I THINK THEY’RE BOTH STUPID, WHY IN THE HELL ARE YOU COVERING UP A MARRIAGE?…HOW ARE GOING TO GO THROUGH LIFE DENYING THAT YOU’RE MARRIED, THAT’S PASS BEING PRIVATE I THINK THAT’S JUST PLAIN DUMB. AND BESIDES THEY’RE NOT EVEN THAT INTERESTING AS A COUPLE.

  34. Since the Destiny Women have came out with their album recently, all we’ve been hearing about is Beyonce. If she cares about how well they do as she said when her song was “leaked”, then she could make a brief statement (no details needed) on her website or through her publicist so the spot light could go back on her band mates. This behavior is selfish. She and her Dad wants this to be the year of Beyonce at all cost, even if it hurt other’s career to make up for the disappointment of not winning the oscar. To be the year of Beyonce’s Album, Movie, Marriage, and maybe Baby. I feel bad for her sister who’s trying hard to come out with her own image and album, she will just be trampled. Beyonce ought to know by now that the behavior is childish. It’s like when Micheal Jackson got so famous and instead of trying to lift his brother’s careers with his fame, he stifled them. Today with few exceptions, his family’s life is at a low point. You never know how life will turn. Recently Michael’s ranch was up for foreclosure, he had to pull resources to get it back, but that was shameful, considering how filty rich he was. Beyonce ought to take a lesson from that.

  35. this is crazy! why do they have to go around telling people they’re married? are any of you in love with Beyonce? do yall want her in a sexually way? and the same applies for Jay-z, are yall mad that he has the hottest chick in the game with his last name! lol.. I mean seriuously! wtf! who goes around and just tells people ” I’m married” unless someone approaches them in that way, I dont go around yelling to the world yes I’m married! unless a guy tries to talk to me! MIND YALL BUSINESS! If he or she comes out with a bad album or does a horrible concert then say something. yall starting to sound like stalkers and not fans! I love Jay-z music and I think beyonce is a Bad bi$ch, but i could give 2 sh%ts about their love life! i just want to know when’s the next cd! get a life and stop stalking the hell out of them..

Please reread what you wrote and ask yourself if it makes any sense! You can’t be well!

  37. Some of u need to lay off the site owner. This is the first real post she’s done on the dynamic duo and some of you are taking a personal affront to her posting on this really for the first time. I wonder if you have been laying in wait ready to defend (attack) this couple. Stephanie dont fret the barrage of misplaced stanism. Hopefully it will die down until the next Bey/Jay post comes along. 😆

  38. “And I am 36 years old- I do not have any idols. Idols are for teenage girls looking for an identity. I already know who I am.” WEll said i’m 9 years younger and i know who i am also, wich lead me to apreciate without stanning

But in a sens i’m happy that “curious” made that comment at least next time when i’ll say it you won’t think i’m exagerating steph!!!!!!
I’ve been saying this for the longest you can write the nicest stuff about beyonce the moment you disagree with something she done her teenage fans get their period “Curious” how many time did stephanie wrote about beyonce saying all nice stuff about her? if you don’t know shut your mouth up and press play to that b’day cd..You stans piss off people so bad!!!!!! just because you point out a fact doesnt mean you hate ! i know blog owners that banned talking about beyonce because her stans were acting up you guys need to get a life and stop making your queen get on people’s nerve

  39. To Stephanie :
That’s the thanks you get for making 75% of this blog about beyonce….

  40. @TAE….
Sweetie, Snoop and his wife are not a good example of a happily married couple who does not wear their ring. Snoop has “GIrls gone Wild” Videos and has been know to have ho’s.
“IF” Beyonce does have a 16 carat ring that means she wears a ring, so if we dont see it, that means she took it off because she doesnt want people to see it. Why go back and forward like that to hide your marriage? You dont have to wave your finger in the air, but go about your business and move how you usually do.

  41. I am sick of people saying “They have always been private about their relationship”…….They have involved the public in their relationship since they found they could make money off each other. ie….”Bonnie & Clyde”, Crazy in Love”, Dirt off your Shoulders” video, “H to the Izzo” video, “Deja Vu”, “Upgrade U”, “Hollywood”, “Lost Ones”, “Beach Chair”, the list goes on. When people were buying those songs they didnt say “Oh, Stay out of our relationship”, they said “Listen to what we do, what we buy, where we go, who we know”.
BTW, this cant be compared to Janet not telling she was married for 13 years, she wasnt showing off and teasing us with her relationship it was really quiet…they werent making songs together.

  42. You know, I just can’t understand why some people get so upset when someone wants to know something about Beyonce. If everyone came in here saying “No one cares”, then people would do the whole “then why’d you click the topic?!” thing…and they’re haters. If they do want to know, then they’re haters because they’re all in a celebrity’s business. No one has really said anything bad about Beyonce, people are simply speculating just as this couple hopes for. It’s what sells those magazines, it’s what keeps her name out there. So what’s with the “OMG, why are you guys in Beyonce’s business? Why do you care?!” I just don’t get where it’s coming from. So if someone could explain that for me, then feel free. Because I really do want to know.

Ummm Kenny, that’s their music. They have been together for over 6 years. You have never seen them sit down and give an interview together. You have never seen them on a photo shoot for a magaaine together. It has never happened. They don’t discuss their relationship. Why are folks so shocked that they are not doing it now?LOL Their relationshiop is something they treasure. It’s not for the media to manipulate.

Now they have done countless separate interviews about their careers and have posed for many photo shoots for their careers. They plan on keeping their private life separate from their jobs. It’s no ones business. It works for them. Their real fans understand because they have been this way forever.

  44. This is going to back fire on them. This playing games. Admit that you are a couple, in love and are happily married. Look at Will and Jada, happily married and nobody is in their business. I don’t care how private Beyonce claims she wants to be, she loves this attention because she is indeed a media whore and wants to keep her name out there. She is with Jay because he is Jay and he is with her because he wants the trophy girlfriend/wife. Their relationship is nothing but a business and their getting together is a business merger. They both are so full of themselves, but this will back fire big time. She will see it in her upcoming records sales. When that happens, she will want to talk about it and by then, nobody will care.

  45. ^^^^And when she sells more records than B’Day, you and the world will proclaim it is best to keep your relationship private and only discuss your career in the media. Works for me! There’s nothing to backfire. Here real fans know that they are private and have been for the last 6 yrs. It’s just the haters and non fans that are mad to tell you the truth!

  46. @Stephanie Maybe I shoudnt have said upset. Does desperate sound better? And you could have fooled me about Janet. You go out your way to defend her so maybe stan would have been a better word than idol. And thats understandable since yall are around the same age. And youre right I am upset because it makes no sense to me that people including yourself and most of your followers have the nerve to be mad at someone because they wont confirm something personal for you. Get over it.

FYI:No i dont wanna talk to you. For what? You made the post about her. If you feel she such a mediawhore why not refrain from posting about her. I know she garners you hits but your blog isnt that popular so its not like many would miss her on here anyway. I know its your blog but its just a suggestion!

Oh and before you and your followers come at me about me being here just save it cause it doesnt matter either way. Have a good day!

  47. @Dark Sista Now you stanning for Stephanie?! Whatev. You have a nice day too!

  48. LMAO at some people on here lol

I honestly think the speculation between these two keeps them famous and relevant.

    Let’s break it down:

Beyonce and Jay-z are trying to be a dominant couple so to do it, they became a couple. Beyonce when she first started doing her solo project she was struggling because the mainstream media was not feeling her style remember the “Work It Out” song? Britney Spears “Boys Co-Ed” Remix topped the charts instead and Beyonce was the co-lead character of “The Goldmember” and couldn’t garner any attention off her lead song of the soundtrack. She leaked other songs before and they were not doing good. She took the concept of what Kelly did and that was to collaborate with a multi-platinum rapper at the time Nelly was in. Beyonce saw the attention that she was getting from that from the number one hit song to the speculated rumors of Kelly being with Nelly. So Beyonce hooked up with a rapper out of no where which was Jay doing the “Bonnie & Clyde” song and the media blew it up. There were no signs of them dating then or you didn’t see any pictures of them together prior to the record you saw them being with each other after the song got praised. Then Beyonce did the song “Crazy In Love” to further the attention and everything has become chaotic since.

Jay on the other hand is with Beyonce because of the same thing to be dominating. Diddy and J.Lo were like what Beyonce and Jay are today. They were hyped up! Jay never liked the commercial rap because he thought it was selling out but when he saw how Diddy was banking for going Hollywood he took the same route and got Beyonce who is already known in the Pop world and Jay who is known in Hip-Hop and merge their audiences together to become money makers.

Trust me if they wanted to privacy they would’ve confirmed it and after awhile the hype would’ve died down because there is always going to be another mult-million dollar couple that these magazines want a story or a photo to be sold to them so they can have in the inside scoop. However Beyonce and Jay do not want it like that because that would go against their main priority which is to be dominating.

All this they have “kept their relationship private” is bullshit! These two have been seen together and doing songs together without confirming that they are together to further the speculation. They have been teasing people with their smart marketing tactics. So not saying anything is smart. This has nothing to do with privacy because this isn’t the way to do it. Like someone said if you wanted privacy do what Janet did. These two don’t want privacy because privacy and attention contradicts itself. They want relevance!

  49. Lmao @ Curious…. you really think you’re hard don’t you? i can see you at school tomorow with your equally empty minded girlfriends”yeah so i told her off blah blah i’m crazy i’m hard” YOu are miserable i’m stanning for my mama/sisters/husband/daughters that’s about it …
THis website is so miserable yet you are here and i bet its not your first time here …WE have a word for people like you just let me think of it ..oh yeah : Blog B-i-t-c-h-e-s

  50. I just love it so when people visit this blog and yet tell me it isn’t popular because that then gives me the opportunity to do something I rarely do on a daily basis- and that’s pimp slap a simple chick.

Lemme tell you just how unpopular this blog is. After less than two years online, I am already reaching an audience of over 200,000 people a month. I have had 2 of my articles featured on the front page of Black Voices- curiously, both articles were in defense of Beyonce and the notion that she should go “away”.

Also, a day doesn’t go by when I am not given the opportunity to attend some swanky event or interview some of the eaxct same celebrities you see being interviewed on all the other blogs. I have even been given the opportunity to interview Black women who wouldn’t dream of talking to anyone but Brown Sista, because we uplift sistas here rather than tear them down- at least that is what they said.

And if succeess is measured by how many other much larger sites copy your content, steal your exclusive photos and then have the audacity not to credit you- then I fa damn sure am popular, cause that mess happens on a weekly basis. But it’s cool- I just switch up my game and keep it moving.

Finally, the coup de grâce is the goddam money and that is how I truly measure success. If I told you what I make sitting her in bedroom in my night gown and slippers, you would laugh at me- you wouldn’t even believe me- and that is what makes this so damn cool. So this little thing that you say is so unpopular is feeding me, clothing me and this fall, will a provide a private school education for both my children. Girl- you don’t even know- you have no idea.

This is what I do. I been running websites for over five years and then The Lord blessed me. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t thank him for those blessings. Life is good. Life is good like a mutta- futta 😆

Btw- every time you come here, you put money in my pocket. What kind of woman would I be if I didn’t thank you for that?

    Thank you Curious 🙂

  51. Ummmm…….ok……can we say it’s medication time lol! To all the folks who keep saying ” stay out of their business” & ” you all must want Bey & Jay b/c you won’t leave it alone” are just hilarious! And attacking the webmaster for posting posts that quite a few other blogs have posted is just off the chain lol. But here’s a news flash for all you, you too are STEPPING or PUTTING ur nose in their business lol. It doesn’t matter how big or small your comment was. It doesn’t matter if you were defending the “happy couple” or not you still made the choice to comment on these ppl, these OTHER ppl’s lives lol. So you’re just as bad as the ppl who you claim are “stalking” or “stans”. We are giving the dynamic duo what they love… attention. Hell, by me posting this comment myself I am giving those two 15 more mins. of shine lol. So please do not point the finger or start the blame game b/c you, ppl who keep saying stay outta their business, are just as guilty as the rest. You add to the fuel by constantly going back & forth w/ others. I could give to shakes if the 2 or married or not & to be honest, I would really like it to go away. But everytime I post whatever I post I am stuck in the web of media just the same, so who am I & who are you to give these other folks a hard time for THEIR opinions. B/c the bottom line is that either way you call it we all have had some part in the NIGHTMARE that is Jayonce. So @ this point if you don’t like what you read maybe you take some of your own advice & just pass over the post.

    @Dark sista… lmao & preach sista… preach lol!

  52. @Stephanie
You go girl! I am scared of you lol! You just made it rain on ’em fo sho lol!

  53. Curious is young and dumb. I smell Similac everytime I read one of her posts. What exactly is she mad about? This post doesn’t attack Beyonce or her decision to keep her private life private. I guess calling Beyonce a media whore was just too much for her to take. Damn those Bey stans stay on the grind.

  54. Dani, you got too much time on your hands!LOL Get a hobby! You are to caught up in Jay & Bee, and they don’t even know you exist. WOW!

  55. @ Hill
hmmm? maybe too much time for you to read? LOL probably not but this is just observation on their career moves. I’m not stanning for Bey and Jay just explaining their marketing tactics. I’m a business major I think they have the best marketing tactics ever. Thanks for taking the time reading my comment 😉

  56. @ Steph: you aint got to explain shit
    @dani : i agree 100%
    @blame it on the rain:
Girl some people miss the ass whuppin chapter of their lives, so they think they can adress people the way they want !!!!those little things think they all grown up!!!!
No education what so ever !!!!!no manner!!!!! Getting on internet trying to act crazy to make up for being bullied every day!!!

  57. why do you even care about there relationship? half of ya’ll bitter black sistas dont even like her!!!!!!!!!!!

why do you even care about there relationship? half of ya’ll bitter black sistas dont even like her!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you, thank you! Talking about how she need to sit down, but yet they want a bird’s eye view of the one of the most wonderful days of her life! Get out of here with that foolishness! Jay & Bee don’t own you anything. Get over it!

  59. I’ve been reading Brown Sista and knows that this site does not hate Beyonce or any other sista for that matter mostly Stephanie post very positive comments about other women. I think since her comment on this post particularly was slightly unfavorable to her fans that people jumped down her throat and wanted to label her as a hater lol or an angry bitter black woman lol SMH. Anyways I love your blog Stephanie. I don’t see how people’s comments about Beyonce affects you in anyways to get upset. If Beyonce was my cousin I would be defending her like crazy on these blogs but since she’s not I just take negative for what they are and move on. I give Beyonce props when it is needed. This time I’m going to give her props on her marketing tactics lol

  60. dani you still didnt anwer my question why do you even care about them being private if you dont like or care for beyonce ? and belive me its some bitter sistas on here !!!! and i didnt even get mad at the post brown sista posted so what is you talking about ? it must of hit a nerve with you !!!!!!! and also i want to know why does this couple hit a nerve with so many people to where you would call there relationship fake ? if thats the case you need to be talking about every black celebety couple !!!!!! and another thing stop thinkin ya’ll got beyonce all figured out ..ya’ll dont know shit just liek her fans lol smh opininated people think they know everything and dont know a damn thing !!!!

  61. lol well i haven’t witnessed any bitter sistas on this blog as of yet lol to answer your question well because people are usually obessesed with people that they don’t like and usually don’t focus enough on the people that they do like lol I’ve seen Beyonce fans go on a Rihanna post and spew hate on her all the time and say how much they don’t like her. It’s a natural thing. I myself never said I didn’t care because if I did why would I be on here? lol oh yeah you didn’t touch a nerve why would you when I don’t know you? lol That’s for sensitive folks. My thing is being observant of how they market their relationship to the public not their privacy I think it’s genius lol. I don’t want to know her and Jay’s sex fetish lol

  62. people on blogs are just too funny for me. you hate her but you are obssessed with her!

b/c she’s not telling you her business and not showing you her wedding pics, she’s a media whore? if she did release a statement and pics to magazines, this is what i would be reading right now:

man her and jay are such media whores. i can’t believe she sold herself and her special day for some money. i have lost all respect for her. her and jay pretending to be private was some bs cause now they selling themselves for the almighty dollar. she can’t stand the spotlight being on someone else so she decided to get married and release the pics so the spotlight would be on her.

does the above sound familiar and some of ya’ll know that is EXACTLY what you’ll be saying. you tell her to go away and now that she’s ignoring you, ya’ll mad? i hope bee and jay do what’s best for them cause lawd knows if they listened to some of ya’ll, they’d be just as bitter and pathetic as some on here.

  63. ^ i agree ..

and dani im not one of those people who hate on rhianna i like her and beyonce i dont see the need to write negitive or over opinonated post !!! thats all and i do respect opinons but i dont have to agree with your opinon either you know but im not talkng about you tho !!

and another thing some of ya’ll really thing that there getting paid to be private lol where do ya’ll get this stuff from lol and how did all this discussion happen over them being at a game lol

  64. @ Dark sista… you are too much lol!

@dani.. WOW that makes a lot of sense how you broke it down. I can see the 2 of them setting up the “floor plan” just like you described. But just curious, do you think in the process of shooting for world domination lol, the 2 could have actually fallen inlove or do you think that their still playing the cards for the orignal plan?

  65. @Stephanie,

Your post responding to Curious gave me my first huge smile of the day! Get that money girl!

  66. Blame it on tha Rain: why does it seems to me that the same person is going back and forth cosigning herself?

  67. one question. that’s her right hand, don’t people wear wedding rings on their right. her right hand is hidden

  68. Ms. Stephanie, at this time, please let me first thank you for allowing me to participate in your blog site. This is especially touching to me because, as I’ve mentioned in the past, I am a Latino man.
You know, one day I was making a general search on Mary J. Blige because her music is very interesting to me. One of the sites the search engine directed me to was your site. And so, I invited myself in. I saw all of this interesting discussion on various topics of the day and so I stayed and have do so since. I must say that the topics you choose are interesting and thought provoking; I’ve even posted a few of my own thoughts, as well. Not too long ago I replied to the comments made by “Del” concerning Halle Berry having a baby from a white man. “Del” appearantly found this to be very inappropriate and especially disturbing to him on a personal level. Poor “Del”. He sounded like he was almost going to drop his load in his underwear, if you know what I’m saying. Gee, I wonder what he would tell my wife concerning her marriage to me? It just so happens that my wife is Afro-American. But anyway, my reply to “Del” was so harsh and discordant that you didn’t allow it to be posted for its foul language. For that I owe you my thanks and my gratitude; I will always be extremely mindful of my language in the future. After all, I’m a guest here in your site and should conduct myself accordingly. Please , Stephanie, sweetheart, please accept my deepest apology.
Stephanie, you mention above that you’ve been “running web sites for over 5 years”. In that time I’m sure that you’ve run into those who have said that your site is lousy, your site doesn’t matter, etc., etc., on and on. “Curious” seems to be such an individual. Well Stephanie, honey-sweetheart, I support you 100%. If “Curious” isn’t all the way satisfied with your site, then “Curious” is free to go elsewhere. And if “Curious” chooses to leave, I’m sure that this individual has your blessing; if “Curious” chooses to go, “Curious” certainly has my blessing … abundantly so!
Stephanie, I don’t know if anyone has told you, if not, let me be the first… your site is a good site because it has relevance, it has meaning, it is a very important site. Here’s why: in the face of globalized transnational flows, in the face of the essentialization and industrialization of our lives, your site represents a resistance to these forces; your site represents a local system of meaning in a world that’s becoming more and more confusing by the day. Your site is a place of inclusion that opens into a world of possible and exclusive architectures that are in fact side by side in a front of uniformity , unilinear and unipolar in identity. Your site also creates new spaces for cultural discourses in the cyberspace environment. And in so doing, these cultural discourses become framed in an ideological field, in an alternative landscape that has continuity with the articulation and validation of the Afro-American identity. BrownSista.com appropriates the verity of the Afro-American experience and turns it into a point in space that affirms and informs all about the Afro-American community’s inclusion in the dissertation of the American national narrative. Stephanie, sweetheart, you have a very nice site and don’t let anyone tell you different. Take care, be safe, and be blessed.
    From my heart,
    Smooth Thug

  69. NOBODY SHOULD CARE IF SHE IS MARRIED OR NOT HER FANS WANT TO KNOW HER EVERY MOVE AND I FEEL LIKE BEYONCE LOVE BEING IN THE SPOT LIGHT EVERY CHANCE SHE GETS ACCEPT WHEN SHE IS MAD AT J ZAY YEAH I SAID MAD BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMAN AND THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE PROBLEMS JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE MONEY SURE DONT CHANGE THAT.BEYONCE ACTS A LITTLE TOUCH TO ME ANYWAY(NOT SO BRIGHT)

  70. BITTER? MAYBE FAR AS HER MONEY GOES EVERYTHING ELSE I GOT!!!

  71. Nefertari, how you doin’? Say, how ’bout that Ms. Stephanie? The lady has style. You agree?
Wow! I’ve just noticed the times of the posts. Y’all must be back east or at least somewhere east of the Mississippi River anyway. Me? I’m way over here in Los Angeles. I’ve got to get some sleep so I’ll see ya later. Be blessed.
    Smooth Thug

  72. Stephanie, I love your response! So glad you have been successful with this site. It’s one of the very ‘few’ I go to, to get the latest info. on brown sistas the celebrity-world over. 🙂 Just wanted to chime in again and say you are appreciated sista! Happy Monday everyone! 🙂

  73. ummm i thought the wedding ring is worn on the left hand anyway

  74. To me this is getting quit old. If you love some one show it prove say it! I understand wanting your privacy but my goodness this is starting to get a bit tired.

  75. Next……I agree with everyone, but it will be old news by Tuesday because Mirah will be on Oprah today and the next wedding that the Media will be focused on is the Nicole Richie and Joel Madden nuptials….by the way I just love this Brown Sista blogspot keep up the great work…….

  76. This Beyonce/Jay Z mess is hurting my head. LOL. But I will say that I can’t wait to see how this madness unfolds on her part. I’m intrigued to see how she handles this. But I will admit that I just wanted to see Beyonce in her wedding gown cause I know she looked beautiful. And I believe like many other women in this world who admired her for being a successful black women, the answer is that we feel “betrayed” by her actions. Ofcourse, people respect her privacy for the most part but when you’ve given THE WORLD AND YOUR FANS countless songs, movies and photoshoots of your life and it’s been nothing more than pure beauty and blessings (at least that what she made it seem) people are going to be intriqued about the milestones in your life. Marriage is a milestone and a blessing. I feel that Beyonce and Jay move was moreso to prove to people that they are normal, but they lost sight of those they’ve had an impact on. I can’t speak for Jay-Z cause I’m not a man, but I can certainly say that Beyonce made a prominent/permanent mark in the lives of many women. When she came out with sista-girl anthem “Independent Woman” (before she met Jay), women really became to relate to her. Since then, she’s been very successful, bless, and always beautiful. So that would probably explain why people (women specifically) would have loved to see how beautiful her wedding was and what she wore. It was the most special time of her life – the wedding – but her fans got no love. She broke the sista creed!!! LOL LOL LOL 🙂

But anyway, you can’t do anything but respect the privacy. I’m over it though. Hee-hee….

why do you even care about there relationship? half of ya’ll bitter black sistas dont even like her!!!!!!!!!!!

You, and anybody who agrees with what you just said, need to check yourself for real. There’s no need for you to insult other women because of a topic that everybody in the whole wide world is discussing and it just so happens to be about Beyonce. I’m bitter, but ain’t over no damn beyonce. I’m bitter because my people can’t seem to get adequate health care, or because my cousin can’t get the job that he worked so hard for, but the guy next to him got it because of the color of his skin. I’m bitter because children are dying all across the nation from abuse, neglect, diseases, etc. and they haven’t had the chance to see/read half of this sh*t that you guys are talking about.

So don’t you ever fix your fingers (lol) to call somebody else ‘bitter’ over a celebrity who’ll probably never know how it feels to struggle or go with out. IMO. I don’t know Beyonce, nor any other celebrity like that, but what I do know is that the lack of humanity in this world is far beyond words. All black women ain’t bitter, and if we are we have very valid / legit reason for being so.

Just choose your words wisely before you start talking recklessly.

  78. How about they’re not telling us about their next movie or CD. That would be refreshing.

  79. I think their whole relationsip has been a tad bit silly if you ask me. It’s like if you don’t want people asking about it stop doing the Bennifer (J-lo and Ben) thing. You do 500 songs together but you are so private…lol it’s just funny to me. I like the “undercover media whore” label. I think they want people to be interested when it TOTALLY suits them – no love lost from. I could care less and a lot of other people will too – sooner or later

  80. Normally I wouldn’t bother to make a comment on a purely entertainment post and particularly not one involving Beyonce – I find the sniping, name calling and idol worship a bit distateful and frankly it saddens me to see women of color (I assume most of you are) behave in such a fashion. If my nana were reading this blog, she’d wonder if some of you’d had any “home training” – but I digress.

I watched this whole Beyonce/Jay-Z wedding watch with some interest, not because I particularly care but for the ill feelings it seemed to engender in a lot of folks, not just on Brown Sista but in general. It’s like they let people down by deigning to have – from those not privy to the planning anyway – such a quickie, not quite flashy enough wedding. Made me go humm… why are folks (mostly women) so invested in this wedding to the point that they feel almost let down? And here’s my two cents (and we all know what that’s worth), it’s not about them, it’s about us. When I say “us” I mean our (Black Folks) desire and need to have some validation that “Black Love” exists.

Frankly, “Black Love” in the entertainment industry is like the white tiger, rare. And when I say Black Love I’m talking about the Ruby Dee/Ossie Davis kinda’ love; Not the Kerry Washington/Common this month then Serena Wms./Common next month kinda’ love. Just think about Ebony’s Black couple issue – by the time it hits your mailbox, at least one of the couples is no more. We all know Essence’s version of Black Love – remember the P. Diddy/Kim Porter cover fiasco? And you don’t have to go any further than the average blog that features Black entertainment to see the musical chairs these folks play with each other- not buying the cow and getting the milk free seems to be the rule, particularly with the younger set. Trust that patient “0” will not be hard to find. On the big and small screen you can never find a Black couple truly loving each other – if you were an alien descending on earth you’d think Black relationships were always accompanied by artifice and/or violence. And do we need to even bother to listen to the lyrics found in R&B and Rap. The man who wants to “hit it”, “follow my monkey” or give me “a good juug (sp)” needs to keep stepping. They don’t even bother to pretend to woo us anymore (and a lot of us just want a man so we don’t bother to make them come correct). Where are you Lenny Wms.?

But for many, Beyonce and Jay-Z are the validation that Black Folks have some In Style wedding worthy folk. They played coy with the public for six years without acknowledging their relationship, but anyone could see that something was going on and whatever it was, it worked for them. Six years folks – a lifetime in the entertainment industry and they did it all without unwanted pregnancy and crazy drama. He seems to respect and love her (I assume – he could turn into Ike or Miles behind close doors. I don’t know.) and she seems to adore him (again, I assume – I’m still not over the fact that Whitney smoked crack. I remember when Whitney first hit the scene – she could do no wrong – Ms. Goody Two Shoes – Beyonce still hasn’t come close to the shade Whitney used to throw. Whitney fooled all of us, Beyonce might too). By all outward appearances, they seem to truly have a loving relationship –that is not my observation but what I gathered from the comments people made whenever they appeared in a photo. The joy found by others in their relationship never ceases to amaze me. But why is that? None of us has experienced their love in real time – only snapshots. If true Black Love were commonplace in the entertainment industry (or elsewhere), would folks have been so vested in THIS relationship? They never discussed their relationship and any talk about their relationship was pure speculation, i.e., what the person observing wanted it to be.

So now they have apparently gotten married and still refuse to acknowledge it. WTF?!?! How could they? Jeez louise they won’t even wear their wedding rings! How could they do this to us?? Don”t they know they owe us? How in the world is everyone suppose to validate Black Love if our shining examples won’t even stand up for the folks!?! Can they at least sell a pic or two to the mainstream media so everyone in the Publix line can see our love – heck we’re bombarded with their love everyday! LOL! Well folks, they don’t owe us anything – not even a doggone record. Whatever is due and owing is personal to them. What we need to do is stop looking to stars for validation about what is good with us, in our community – ’cause if our own houses were in order, we’d care much less about another couple (possibly) jumping the broom.

  81. It’s gotta backfire when celebrities take themselves to a level of closing out the very people who helped create their fame and fortune. I don’t agree with Beyonce and JZ taking a stance to shut the door in the face of fans wanting to know more about their private lives. It’s interesting to hear life stories. If celebrities are getting so that they will not share their ups and downs, then the public will eventually lose interest in them. Is that what they want? It’s kind of insulting for a celebrity not share their lives with the public. If you have strong relationship with your partner, can’t nobody touch that anyway.

  82. @dani – destiny’s child was featured in Jay-z ”Izzo’ video in 2001, I believe. If you have the time, you can go over to BEYONCEWORLD and check out the picture of the week which is another pic of destiny’s child with jayz in 2000. Jay-z also directed the amil video which featured beyonce in 2000. There were already signs of a developing relationship between these two. Jay-z did not come out of anywhere to feature beyonce on ”bonnie and clyde” just for publicity. Neither was he looking for a trophy girlfriend to dominate the music industry because unless I’m mistaken beyonce only became ‘hot’ during 2003.

  83. Obama needs to release another statement that Americans are bitter that Jay & Beyonce haven’t released an official statement about their wedding , and they don’t wear their wedding rings.LOL This topic is too funny. Y’all sound serious up in here!

  84. Whushe tryna hide???? Urrrbody know they murried. See this is why nobody can’t stand beyonsic. She think she all that. She look O.K… I’ve seen plenty of sistas at NCA&T when i was in college that looked betta than beyonce. She sang O.K. And the little girls i teach at school got better lyrics than beyonce…. i don’t see what all the hoopla is about. And jay-z still ugly with big lips.. i don’t care how much money he got or who’s on his arm. They a mess and beyonsic is fake. Ooh I can’t stand her. Her music is so ghetto girl jump ropish it ain’t even funny. She a hot mess!!!

You went to college writing like this!LOL You were robbed! Get your money back! Got the nerve to be calling someone ghetto with this bad writing! A mind is a terrible thing to waste!

  86. i think they are playing games with everyone and feel like they are married… that’s their business. they need to remember that if it wasn’t for their fans it wouldn’t be no jay and bey.

  87. @ Mandy

that is not enough to prove that they are together though lol everyone that was hot at the time was repping Jay all day Hovi’s Home!!!! lol I’m thinking it was more of everyone just coming out and having a good time. I didn’t think of it being nothing special. What I mean was that there wasn’t any paparazzi photos of them two together until “Bonnie & Clyde” and the ever so popular “Crazy in Love” but that’s a good one though. I remember “Izzo” but I wasn’t thinking they were together because Beyonce was close to other rappers other than Jay Hov lol Anyways I still stand by this hype is a way for these two to be relevant though. Jay and Mary tour is doing good but not wonderful he needed some hype surrounding himself. I heard Mary was blowing him out so hey he needed the attention back him so here is this mysterious wedding I think it’s awesome how they do thing regardless of what people think.

    @ Jeremy

You sound like you snaps for the kids at the local voguing balls in NYC. Don’t throw shade on Miss Bey because those lacefronts she rocking cost more than your *ahem* surgery. Please honey it is not that serious lol.

    @Blame it on tha Rain

Nah not world demonation but the industry lol. God forbid all the working uniforms would be the HOD symbol and we can’t have that lol. Nah I think they are in love I just think that them playing this game just work because speculation drives people nuts because we don’t know everything and that’s what makes things interesting.

  88. @she’s come undone, i agree to a certain degree with what you are saying. especially celebrities switching partners and embarrassing magazines, i love that part.

  89. she’s come undone: I agree 100%.

However, most won’t have to worry. The rumor is that Beyonce is set to retire from music after this next album.

I know that is music to the ears of her “non-fans”.

  90. Do you honestly think she will retire? I just can’t see it. Not at all. Maybe she’ll slow down, but retire? She was born to do this! LOL

  91. Just like many other blogs, whenever Beyonce is discussed, traffic is high and heavy when it comes to her. Now just so people know, I am a very big Beyoncé fan. I want to make that clear. Goes to Bwboard.net to discuss her and this topic has been the focus for over 2 weeks now on that board. Sometimes, I think they(fans/stans) love the whole idea of “Jayoncé” or BJ as the owner of this blog calls them more than they love Beyonce the artist/entertainer/performer but that’s another topic.

Now onto this topic: I am happy for them if they are married. I have seen other sites confirming this, why play games? If you really want privacy then you confirm it. They know that the more they act like this, the more attention this will get and frankly, I don’t like it. Marriage is serious stuff, it is not anything to play with or get publicity through. 50% of marriage end in divorce in 3 years so this is not something to enter into lightly. I love Bey, and she is talented as hell but everything she does is to keep her in the limelight and it is crazy that other fans of her aren’t seeing this. I hope one day, she realizes that her talent is all she needs to keep fans interested. Not this stuff.

  92. Kanyade: Ask yourself this, did Jay really retire? That’s your answer….

  93. Yeah, Kanyade, I don’t think she will retire either. The story was first reported by the New York Daily news:

    “Is Beyonce ready to retire?

The diva is currently working on a new album, but her cousin Angelica Knowles tells our source that it will be her last. Instead, Beyonce plans to spend her days scouting talent for new hubby Jay-Z’s upcoming label, The Carter Music Group.

Beyonce’s first protege is rumored to be an R&B artist named Chelsea Thomas. Her reps couldn’t be reached for comment.”

I don’t know if it is true, and I am very doubtful it is because they couldn’t even get her cousin’s name right. I was just throwing it out there as a possibility because it may turn out to have some truth to it after all.

But if she does in fact retire, I think she’ll play the MJ comeback game.

  94. Why can’t people have an opionion about something, even if you think “If your not a fan dont click” well Im not that much of a fan and I clicked because this isnt a Beyonce fansite, I have the option to make any comment I want because frankly no one is going to jump through their computer to get me….but if your hard then try!
This bitch aint paying any one of us so defending her is wasting your time, not defending her is wasting your time….we are all wasting our time.
So this day on Tuesday lets not be hypocrites and down someone else for the same thing your doing.

  95. @ dani

YES I DO snap for the kids.. And is that supposed to be a put down.. Homo Hatred in the balck community is so Outrageous it ain’t even funny. That attitude right there is just why so man Bruthas are on the down low knocking on my door. Asking me to watch their kids instead their girl…

You should move to NY and experience diversity.

  96. Thanks Bey and Jay! You have done it again. I don’t know what it is about Beyonce but she makes people waste time commenting on her private life. 102 comments?! Sheesh. I wish more positive topics and other entertainers had that power.

  97. You know what Jeremy, you are right. Homophobia is a disease that has affected everyone in the black community including myself. I currently reside in D.C. and coming up from the south, I have never seen so many gays at one time. Living in North Carolina, it would be suprising to find out someone was gay. Here, saying someone is gay or there are many gays is like saying the sky is blue. Why comment on a universal known?
Homosexuals place the blame on us but they have fallen victim to the same hatred we have (we meaning heterosexuals). People only empathize with them because now the hatred is internal. Don’t point fingers at us for being homophobic but realize that the hatred/fear is internalized by all black americans.

  98. The NY Post is a gossip blog. Their grasping for straws hoping to get them to comment. I don’t see Beyonce slowing down until she’s 30. She intially said, she would retire around 30.

  99. Girl, you know their marriage is going to last at least as long as Bobby and Whitney’s. That marriage was just like back pain!!

  100. lol now i’m homophobic now? lol I’m playing around with you but you do take her too serious though. I’m not a fan of hers either but damn!If I came off offensive than I apologize but damn lol

    Snaps for the kids!

  101. @Jeremy,

There are plenty of people in the black community who are not homophobic. My favorite and kindest uncle was gay and it was obvious to me even as a young child. He was just “Uncle Tony” and I loved him. I still do and I’m glad I had that experience. It made me look at differences in people in a much more balanced way.

He also gave the best fashion advice despite the fact that I had a total of 9 aunties! haha

I would tell you to try to ignore the people who are homophobic–but I realize that’s like telling someone who is being discriminated against to ignore racism. So all I can tell you is positive energy to you.

  102. @Slim Thug

Peace Bro! I’ve been wondering where and how you were.

I find it hard to believe that you posted a comment full of profanity–you are very eloquent and gracious. However, considering the fact that I have been known to curse like a drunken sailor when I’m angry–I realize it is possible.

As to Stephanie, yes, I agree. I like her site very much and I like her style.

I’m on Eastern time so we have a time difference in our posts. I also check my email after I work out in the morning. I work out at 4:45am so if you see me posting at 6am that’s about right.

Stay positive and don’t be a stranger. Peace and Blessings to you and your family.

  103. @Jeremy
I am sorry that I came off angry but I do get pissed off when homosexuals point fingers and accuse others of being homophobic when *suprise suprise* they are a product of the same homophobic community. Please understand that I am not angry neither am I a homophobe. I have, however internalized the same crap that everyone has internalized/been exposed to. No hard feelings right:-)

I do, however, slightly agree with what you were saying about Beyonce but what you wrote can be applied to most female celebrities. Alot of them do not have talent. Make-up, make-up, perfect lighting, air-brush and sexy clothes will make me beautiful too. I think I can pull off an album or two lol…Many of our celebrities/entertainers/soft-core pornstars have followed the formula above. I don’t care about what they do because I am too old to follow after anybody. I do care about the young 14 year olds who do follow after these women. Where does that get them? That is my only problem with today’s “role models”. By the time I have kids, women like Karrine Steffans will take the place of today’s entertainers…*sigh*

I want Beyonce to do one soul/rhythm & blues album. Notice I spelled out rhythm & blues. R&B is only played on the hip-hop stations nowadays. True rhythm & blues is not played on most of our local because:
    a) It wouldn’t sell to the intended ($$$) audience therefore it’s popularity will not reach the level of say…Beyonce’s
    b) It’s not club music
    c) Not many people under 25 can listen to real music
We are so comfortable with the term R&B that we forget what those two letters stand for. Most music played in rotation today lacks soul and blues. It does glorify things/situations that would give a normal person the “blues”. Rhythm is all there is nowadays.

I do love Beyonce though. I believe she is beautiful person from the inside and out. If not, then why aren’t more people speaking out about any malicious acts she has done towards them? I know she has had many people work for her and the Knowles family. I wonder why does so much blame fall on her? What do people blame her for? Their own downfalls? The ugliness they see in the mirror? The lack of drive and discipline it takes to get to the top? The fact that they don’t accept themselves? Will there ever be a time when the public loses interest in what the celebrities are doing? How important is Beyonce in our day to day living? I am not leaving myself out for I need to ask myself these questions. I can not wait for the day when I don’t care about the opinion of anyone else but myself. I can not wait to bypass the women on the magazines and feel confident with the person I am. When will I stop comparing myself, physically & mentally, to Beyonce and others. At 22, I am still learning.

  104. Oh boy from re-reading my comment I did come off offensive. My sarcastic humor came off homophobic and rude. I apologize Jeremy. Also I’m from a big city and yes I have have seen everything and try to go to the local ball scenes here every chance I get. I’m a female who actually enjoys alot of the gay male culture such as voguing. I can’t dip for the kids like Leiyomi Mizrahi but I do loves to see her eats the kids breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack in between lol but I can’t lie that shade you threw at Bey was nothing nice lol

  105. hahaha!! I still cant believe that people are dwelling on the two of them! not only that, but yall are writing these book long comments as if poeple who have things to do are gonna read all that ish! lmao! this the funniest ish Ive ever seen..

  106. I want Beyonce to do one soul/rhythm & blues album. Notice I spelled out rhythm & blues. R&B is only played on the hip-hop stations nowadays. True rhythm & blues is not played on most of our local because:

It is funny you mention this. Because I was talking to another person about this very topic. First of all, when you talking about doing rhythm and blues and soul albums, are talking about the real R&B from the 50s-70s or the stuff that has been prevalent since the 90s with Mary J? Secondly, we have enough of the blues on radio. Everything glorifies the “blues”, especially the rap that is out today. Another thing, to do real R&B, you have to actually do an whole album WITHOUT samples which no artist will do. Even a Neo-Soul artist. (Yep, I said it). Here is the irony: Bey does an album with 80-85% live instruments backing it and people will call that soulless but will ask why people like Jill Scott and Erykah gets no “love” on the mainstream stations. Now I could argue deomgraphics and all, but if Bey was to do a 100% live instrument, truly soulful album, people will be cynical about it. Let’s be real. I want her to do it myself. She has the band and the vocal skills to do it. She just need the guts but her BIGGEST PROBLEM and say it, is wanting to please people. And I am a huge fan saying this.

  107. I’m tired of this. I don’t know why they’re keeping their relationship a secret. We’ve all seen the tabloid pictures of them hugged up. If they’re married, they should be real about it.

  108. people must just leave her alone. she’s obviously not ready to reveal her marital status yet!

  109. @ Curtis, she released a LIVE album? What do you mean 80-85% live instrumentation? Does live instrumentation mean soulful? I thought the ‘soul’ aspect dealt more with the subject of the songs and the lyrics and delivery and then the music, be it live or no? Maybe that’s just my own conceit. Live instrumentation? During her concert tour yes, but during the album? Did she? Wouldn’t you consider the majority of “Dangerously in Love” soulful? At least the ballads? I would. Wasn’t cynical about that record. Jill Scott and Erykah hump the live instrumentation pedagogy and are soulful…what exactly is the comparison/non-comparison here? Beyonce is R&B to me, but she is not SOUL. I think everyone’s perception of soul vs. R&B is different.

  110. Exactly Kenyade!
There is a difference between R&B and soul/rhythm and blues. R&B is Keysha Cole and Mary J. Both women have included hip-hop into their repertoire. Beyonce is pop. She does have the skills to make a soul album as well as the two other women I mentioned. I should have written soul album. Go-go and rock artists use live instruments-most of the songs we hear from both genres are not classified as soulful.

Secondly, we have enough of the blues on radio. Everything glorifies the “blues”, especially the rap that is out today.

No, artists glorify situations, dealings, crimes, etc that would give most people the blues. Rappers are not blues artists. Most of them sound pretty enthused when they speak of their “street” lifestyle and how it has helped them acquire so many goods and money. There is nothing “bluesy” about screwing some girl in the club or skeeting on her face. The fact that they glorify ignorance makes me feel despondent.

  111. I don’t care about Bey’s marital status. She doesn’t support me financially, emotionally, mentally, physically, or any other ly word lol…I, including other human beings worldwide, support her. We like and buy her music. I am waiting for something different though. I want good music that is not just going to generate money from the masses but speak to my young heart. She has the skills but money has more influence over her decisions than my peon opinion.

  112. What do you mean 80-85% live instrumentation? Does live instrumentation mean soulful? I thought the ’soul’ aspect dealt more with the subject of the songs and the lyrics and delivery and then the music, be it live or no? Maybe that’s just my own conceit. Live instrumentation? ———————————-
Yes, she did use live instrumentation. Plenty of it. When I say 80-85% of the album, I am saying basically without samples or synthasizers, of that nature. Listen to today’s music, even the kind of that a lot consider soulful(Keyshia Cole’s album for example), you don’t hear this. Seriously. Like you said, soul is subjective but I consider her soulful in the way I would Tina and Chaka(Bey has plenty of funk elements to her music especially on B’day) and the words aren’t “super deep” but the sound is enough to get into your soul, make you wanna dance like James Brown’s music does. Not all ballad-heavy albums are soulful and there are plenty of uptempo songs that are very soulful. Because of all the things I said, it had an edge and energy that today’s R&B don’t and that’s makes the album true soul. Lyrics are important but without the sound, with the vocals to compliment and transform the song, then it is vain.

  113. There is a difference between R&B and soul/rhythm and blues. R&B is Keysha Cole and Mary J. Both women have included hip-hop into their repertoire. Beyonce is pop. She does have the skills to make a soul album as well as the two other women I mentioned. I should have written soul album. I know what you mean, I actually do. But actually Go-Go is a sub-genre of funk, a progression of it and no one would say that funk is not soulful. Like George Clinton and P-Funkadelic and then James Brown before them. It all depend on who it is. As I said before, Bey has funk elements to her sound, ever since DIL but she showed more of it with B’day. The only song that you can actually say that was “pop” was Irreplacable, a mid-tempo. Everything was soul-inspired, the sound she was going for with Work It Out before DIL. DIL is more commerical than B’day soundwise.
