Beyonce Joins Jay-Z On Heart Of The City Tour

Singer Beyonce made a surprise appearance last night at the Heart Of The City tour with Jay Z and Mary J Blige. The New York City crowd was treated to a 15 second performance of Beyonce bouncing on stage before waving to the crowd and just walking off. It was very diva-ish and even Jay seemed impressed with his wife’s ability to bring the crowd to a crescendo with just the flick of her hips. Beyonce and Jay-Z…the couple so big on privacy. *wink wink. Their constant, borderline obsessive, declaration for privacy is just a pretext to generate more publicity. As a celebrity couple, they’re becoming about as predictable as Jay’s lyrics and sistas let me tell you, that’s pretty damn predictable (”I’m number one,” “I make a lot of money,” “I date Beyonce”). Anyway, I digress. I’m sure Beyonce’s unexpected appearance was a treat for the audience.

The HUGE surprise was this, Bey coming on stage out of nowhere and the crows went bananas, even me!!! Jay-Z and Mary J Blige played at Madison Square Garden and I heard they rocked the house. Anyway, during Jay’s set, he was running through many of his hits and he kept saying, “F**k that” in jest. He’d then go to the next song. What happened next, I heard got the whole crowd crazy.
He came up on Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” and he said, “No disrespect, but f**k that too, B.” The “B” was meant to be NY slang, but suddenly Beyonce pops up on the right side of the stage. Beyonce gave him the irritated look at the mock disrespect. Then the song started playing and she shook what Momma Knowles gave her. The crowd goes wild. Jokingly, Jay-Z said, “That’s some bulls**t right there.” And B was gone.

I recall a few weeks ago there waa a story on some of the blogs that at a club event private party, the DJ started playing “Crazy in Love” when Beyonce and Jay walked in. This was prior to the wedding. JAy Z jumped up and said “No..that’s some bulls—” and stopped the DJ. The media reported that Beyonce got angry and that she and Jay had a quiet argument there in the club. The idea was that he stopped her shine and she was offended.
I think that either 1.) the story about the club incident was true and that he and she were making light of it at this concert or 2) the club incident was staged so that they could do this at the show and get more attention. I’m leaning towards 1)
It was cute and I don’t think its that serious. I do agree with the person above, however, who said that for two people who claim to value their privacy–they sure do make a lot of moves for attention. Sort of makes you go Hmmmmm
