Beyonce Promoting Diamonds In Milan
Beyonce was back in action yesterday after taking a week’s long vacation to celebrate Jay-Z’s birthday in Paris. The singer was seen sporting a beautiful new darker straighter look at a photocall in Milan, Italy. Bey was in the City of Fashion to promote her new fragrance, Diamonds by Armani. Joining her was of course was Mr. Armani himself, Georgio. I am old enough to remember when it was unheard of and totally taboo to even think of using a woman of color, especially a Black woman, to sale high end expensive perfume. It was just one of those things folks said America “wasn’t ready for”. Black models- Black women in general have always had to overcome these types of obstacles in the business and that’s why I just can’t find it in me to knock Beyonce, who is breaking down so many barriers.
It is a process. I would say Diana Ross broke the door down and artists like Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson took it even further, opening the doors for the next generation of Black female artists. One of those artists is Beyonce and she is just doing what she is suppose to do- creating opportunities for herself as well as future Black women.

Yes and Tyra broke down barriers being the first black on Sports Illustrated as well as Jennifer Hudson being the first black (and curvy) woman to be on vogue. I’m not hating, but what other barriers has she broken? I’m not tryna start anything at atll (Fans) but I think (white) people accept her quickly b/c she is light.

Beyonce is udoubtedly a talent but there are many other talented singers and actors who don’t get a look in as they’re are not as acceptable a face as beyonce is.
Her light skin has definitely kept many doors wide open for her.

I agree with you Liyah but Beyonce isn’t the first or last light complected Black woman to win favor with Hollywood. Halle has done it like no one else but that is rarely if ever mentioned. Halle’s acting is also nowhere near as good as Beyonce’s singing so I can say Beyonce has at least honestly risen to the top of her field off of a true ability she has.
I also have to point out that too often as Black people we give White women a lil too much credit. Everyt ime a pretty light sista come along it is said she looks White. Huh? Beyonce does not in any way shape form or fashion look White and where exactly are folks seeing all these pretty White women at cause I ain’t seen them, at least not in real life and I live around them. Come one, White women do not set the bar for beauty, at least not to me they don’t and every light sista is not a extra tanned version of a White woman. We not talking about Mariah Carey here. Beyonce has two OBVIOUSLY Black parents and look as such. And come on y’all, many of you accept all the way ASIAN LOOKING Kimora as a BLACK WOMAN, but won’t accept Bey.
Somebody help me out here.
Love you Liyah, just don’t agree fully with you Sista.

Being light may work a lot easier in the industry, but someone like queen Midas Oprah reigns and represents for a dark sista…. hoepfully, we’ll see more of her likeness during this lifetime..
Brown Sista what do you think of the Diamonds perfume?
Smokie said,
This really isn’t a light or dark issue. This is about a BLACK woman - a FULL BLACK woman - rising to the top. Go Beyonce - Go Oprah - Go Black Girl….
Chey said,
Here we go again. Folks talking about and treating Beyonce Knowles like she is the best thing since sliced bread. Like she is the greatist thing to hit the music scene and entertainment industry. Like she is the almighty God himself.
Folks know the only reason she is the chosen one for now is because she has the look that White America embraces. Once they have used her up and thrown her away like yesterdays leftovers, the next one will be Rihanna.
Society is so fixated on image and visuals that it is sad. No wonder our little girls and teenagers are opting to have plastic surgery at such a young age. The media and society only focus on and glorify certain celebrity woman. The ones that look like Halle Berry, Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears (before she lost her mind), Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson, Rihanna, Eva Longoria……..these woman are the media’s interpretation of what beauty is. Nothing but visuals.
Tanya said,
I love Beyonce and she is very talented and all black women should be proud of her. I agree with Smokie that it is not a light skinned or dark skinned issue because Beyonce is black and she has never denied that she is black. Black women have come a long way because back in the day not even light skinned women that could almost pass for white was given a real chance like Dorothy Dandridge or Lena Horne, etc. , to do very much in the “white world”. We have come a long way that someone like Beyonce, light skinned or not can be accepted. As many have pointed out Oprah is not light skinned and white america loves her, Queen Latifah is not especially light skinned and she is over weight and white amercia has accepted her too. So stop hating on Beyonce because of her skin color. She is black…be proud of her! :brownsista: On a side note I don’t like the smell of this perfume!!
Tanya said,
Also I forgot to add…I love this hair color on Beyonce! This is better that the blond  !
Liyah said,
I understand you Steph, I was just saying that I felt that Bey had it a touch easy with white people b/c of her complexion. I don’t think she is white in any other way, especially when it comes to her body :noway: . She is doing her thang I’ll never deny it, but like you said…others are too :hmph:
Kanyade said,
Beyonce to me has always been a brown sista. A black woman. I get confuddled when people make the comment about her “looking white”.
She always looked Black to me, too.
Anyhoo, I’m with Liyah in terms of all the reverence given to her. I think we are lending too much credence to this chica. There are sistas breaking down barriers everyday, but they aren’t getting noticed like she is. And how much of it, really, is her? And not her dad or mom manuevering her business? Or even her boyfriend? I shouldn’t take away this much from her, but she’s always come across to me as a little Bambi, deer-in-the-headlights, easily-led person; so it’s hard for me to really ’see’ her as this powerhouse, business savvy woman. Maybe it’s the media focusing more on her as opposed to other sistas doing great things (and I don’t mean just endorsements, but other things; philanthropical things done by others “besides” Beyonce).
I don’t particularly like Kimora. She’s an Amazon and quite frankly scares me. LOL But I get what you’re saying. :brownsista:

Why can’t people just accept that Beyonce is the chick of the moment just like Madonna and Whitney were back in the Eighties. As a matter of fact she is more Whitney cause Whitney had crossover appeal and real talent that made advertisers want to be associated with her. Beyonce is a Black girl. Not the darkest Black girl but a Black girl nonetheless. She can’t be knocked about because she is a little light. So is Alicia Keys who has damn sure got to where she is, especially among Blacks, because of her light complexion. India Arie has slamming songs but she is ignored cause she doesn’t have the right look. Why only call out Beyonce? You all need to call them all out. Like the author said, Halle is a Hollywood favorite but can’t act her way out of a bag. On the other hand Angela Basett can’t buy a job. All day every day new no talented light girls are pushed into the spotlight while darker sisters are shunned but I have to admit Beyonce isn’t one of them. She ain’t Cassie. Bee can tear a song up and deserves her spot at the top no matter what color her skin.
Teri said,
I think Beyonce is doing a fabulous job! She’s very talented and she’s beautiful. I must add that she evidentally has a great team working for her b/c she’s working every aspect of entertainment that she can, and I can’t knock her for that. Make that paper gurl! Many congrats to her and eventhough she’s not the only talented black woman out there, she is a talented woman and obviously “the chosen one.” Her climb to success may have a little to do with her looks and more to do with her talent. Although having great looks don’t hurt nobody. Her hair looks gorgeous.

Tanya said,
Dana…. :iagree: I agree how come no one every criticizes Alicia Keys for her complexion which might be lighter than Beyonce! I am not saying anyone should criticize Alicia Keys because is also talented and deserves everything she has accomplished regardless of the shade of her skin..but why is there all this hate for Beyonce and her skin color? Also someone like Tamia has a beautiful voice and she is light skinned so why hasn’t she had the success that Beyonce has? In my opinion the dark skinned light skinned issued should not even apply to Beyonce because is very talented and beautiful and a hard worker and she just has that “It” factor. In my opinion she deserves every single thing she has gotten so far because she is talented and she can sing and she has worked for it. Be proud of black sister!
Liyah said,
Hey I am not hung up on complexion, but I think Hollywood IS and that is ALL I was pointing out. I have no hate for her or her complextion as a matter of fact, I am about one or two shades darker. Black is beautifyl PERIOD!!! I was just posting a comment.
Me said,
No shade, but she’s not an innovator. She wants praise and accolades, bottom line. You can bet your last money had she won one of those awards for her role in Dreamgirls, there would have been no BDay deluxe edition with those whack ***, identikit videos. I like her, but a lot of chicks scream over hip-hop beats - Mary’s been doing it for years. She’s just a product of a blend of hype, marketing and work ethic. I’ll give her the fact she works hard. But I have yet to see her break any ground musically or on stage. That concert on TV was not all that … for two hours she shook her weave and her behind - she doesn’t even dance. She’s got energy, but …. I don’t know. She has no real sound of her own, and is always biting other people’s ideas (remember the BET Awards performance where it came out it was EXACTLY like Kylie Minogue’s). I just don’t see what all the hype’s about. But she’ll be around. But you all can’t say her being light didn’t play a part in her success - it always does. That’s why for a long time, she was getting lighter and lighter and blonder and blonder ….

do some research people..

Dana I agree with you too 100%. Why does Halle who has a White mama not catch the heat Beyonce who has a Black mama and daddy catches? Sisters need to check themselves on why they hate the real Black girl but love the chick that came from the White woman’s womb.

Wow Tiffany dropped some knowledge with the Donyale Luna thing … and the sad part about her is that she was actually black but did not claim it and concocted a whole “exotic” persona. That is why most historians regard Beverly Johnson as the first black Vogue cover model, because she actually identified herself as black. Donyale was from somewhere up north. She ended up ODing at a young age somewhere in Europe … she was a tragic story. But that child’s name was Peggy in real life and she was in fact black. It just proves how self-hating some people can be …

Of course she’s enjoyed so much success because she’s a lighter skinned black woman…of course…I can’t believe any of you would argue otherwise. Are you kidding me?
Anybody remember her when “Bills, Bills, Bills” started to blow up? Remember, when they gained attention from the MTV crowd they added 28 inch blonde weave and light hazel contacts (despite the fact that her own eyes are an exotic brown)? Anybody remember that? And, don’t you remember the accusations from Farrah? Don’t you remember she was asked to tan because Beyonce’s role was the “light-skinned member of the group”?
Also, if you notice she tans a lot, A LOT…during that “Ladies First” tour she was ALWAYS bronze, but during the international tours…NO…go compare her pictures from Germany and Spain to her pictures from the “Ladies First Tour”…
It’s no accident…she knows she will be accepted more with lighter skin. In fact, there’s a picture of her in Japan, I think, and she’s unrecognizably light (but she didn’t bleach her skin…it’s her natural tone…she tans to a caramel tone appear exotic…)
So, as I was saying…I’ve been told that they (Japanese and other Asian people) refuse to believe she’s black…they just don’t because they don’t think anyone so beautiful could be black. And, they’re BIG on skin color…I know someone, an Asian guy, whose parents cried because he came to America to study and went home for the Holidays with a tan…they CRIED.
So, don’t say her skin color didn’t play a part…it did…
Even with us, her skin color matters. I dare any one of you to make a sound argument that Beyonce’s voice is better than Tweet’s. I dare you. Really.
Now…as for the Armani deal…I don’t know that it’s positive or even relevant to me or black culture because I neither find Beyonce elegant nor worldly…In fact, I think she’s painfully inarticulate and really, when it comes to personality, quite vapid. Now, of course, I think she’s a pretty girl with a phenomenal body (which seems to be dwindling in preparation for her international, outer-directed [that means for white folks lol] “dance” album) but I don’t believe Armani ever disagreed with me. By that I mean, I seriously doubt he ever thought for one second that she was sophisticated and worldly, the embodiment of his artistic vision. I believe, frankly, he knew the ***** sells. Sorry, but everybody knows he was repulsed by her look in his dress at the Oscar’s…so repulsed that he put the dress in his archives…

lets jus recognize the fact that u dont just get props because ur light skin. u have to have the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuull package, and that what I HATE about some darkskin women. ya insist on belittling lightskin women in saying that they only get what they get because of their skin color….but it has nothing to do wiht their talent and the fact that many people love them.
if the color thing was true, what has christina milian done cuz shes light, what has ciara done cuz shes light, was has amel larriex done cuz she light, was did aaliyah do cuz she light…..
exactly my point, any other light skin wolmen be4 and after bey could have been offered the same dagon opportunities but they wasnt, bey is a icon and many people love her thats why she get the opportunities she gets, losers

Nobody who is honest with themselves can knock Beyonce’s work ethic. I also think she is a talented woman, although her type of music is not my preference. I also do not think that it is Beyonce’s fault, or any black woman’s fault for that matter, that she happens to be light skinned in a country that has historically promoted light skinned women over dark skinned women. I’m a dark skinned sister, a corporate attorney, and most of the circles in which i work and move are dominated by people who are not black. Trust me when I tell you that just being a person of color PERIOD, presents barriers to overcome. I have so many people walk into my office, having seen my name on my door, and knowing full well that they came to see me BECAUSE i’m the attorney, look me in the face and ask “so are you a paralegal? ” for no reason other than racial prejudice. That being said, I think they would ask the same ignorant, racist question if I were Beyonce’s complexion.
However, we cannot continue to pretent that complexion based bias does not exist in this country. It is a reality. It has been a reality from the day the first mixed race slave child was produced. What we have to remember (both dark skinned and light skinned) is that it is a tool created by people outside of us, to cause conflict between us. If you are a dark skinned sister and you think you are somehow less beautiful because of it, understand that it is a result of mental and emotional assault that you have endured in this country. Work on yourself. Know that you are beautiful. Know that your beauty was the FIRST Beauty and will always have that status because we cannot argue with hisstory. The first beautiful woman on the planet was a deep chocolate, mahogany, ebony black woman. We know this because she was the FIRST woman.
If you are a light skinned sister then know that you are beautiful and not because you show the presence of white genes, but because you are beautiful in your own right. But if in the back of your mind you have bought into the lie that you are superior because of whiteness, then you too are a victim.
We have to unlearn this madness. I see so many beautiful sisters everyday. Heck, most of the time I’m so isolated in my profession that I am just elated to see a SISTER PERIOD.
We are all beautiful. Don’t believe the hype and make sure to teach your babies the same.
Unlearn.

May I try to answer your question about Halle?
I love Halle…I’ve got nothing bad to say about her…I love her to death…she’s intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, serious, talented…I love her, point blank. Do, I think she was given opportunities because she is beautiful (not light skinned but beautiful, I said…)? YES, but who isn’t in the world, not just Hollywood, but the WORLD. It’s survival of the prettiest.
Beyonce, though, is none of those things. Nope. Not even the “talented” part. Sure she has a phenomenal voice but the stuff she sings…it’s like when people say “so and so could sing the phone book” Well, it’s like Beyonce actually DOES sing the phone book! She wastes her voice, singing about nothing. It’s like Aretha covering Britney Spears… And, you’re not really an artist until you’ve got some meaningful design, some sincere something-to-say. Beyonce has none of that…which is why she changes genres with the wind.
Nowwww, as for the question of…I guess I’ll say… people disliking Beyonce sooner than they will Halle… it’s because you can respect Halle’s journey, honestly…Even though she’s gorgeous, you can’t say you’ve been inside her dealings in the industry and you like most of her work, so you can respect her journey. She’s a starrrrrr, somehow!Beyonce, on the other hand, we ALL know how things went down…the missing money, the terminations, the unrepentant capitalism…and maybe we could respect the ****** road she took if not for the fact that we can see and she’s really just a pretty girl shaking her *** and writing songs about it.

And, the same can be said for Christina Millian…she’s had many opportunities to do things in television and film.
As for Amel…she is an artist…so of course she’s not being praised in the mainstream…she is not a pop star…and she’s said explicitly that she does NOT like to look lighter skinned…which means, she does not and will NOT play up the skin color thing…No bone straight weaves, no *** gyring…none of that for Amel…She’s an artist…quiet and curious the way most of them are.

What?????? First of all, I never read, in any of your replies, that I am a “sad dark skinned girl”… I never saw it coming! LOL Are you serious? Are you kidding me?
YOU made the point that Christina and Alliyah are light skinned and not at all as successful as Beyonce, so the skin color must not be a factor. And, I explained to you that ummmm YEAH they have gotten many opportunities…You obviously didn’t think them successful, as you picked them to compare SO you’re really saying “yeah, they were nothing special” lol I never said that, YOU did in mentioning them the way you did, making that point about them in comparison to Beyonce. And, having said that, how does it in any way compete with my implying that they were undeservedly successful, that they were given opportunities because of the color of their skin? Huh? Nevermind. You won’t get it. It doesn’t differ…that’s the answer. It does not differ, but instead extends my argument.
As for your personal attacks…what myopic little little little vision you have. The more accurate assumption would be that you, the ceaseless Beyonce-buffer, are a sad ordinary girl looking for some sort of self-affirmation in being a Beyonce fan. Because I’m sure you do believe anyone who dislikes Beyonce is “little” and “sad” AND that would mean, conversely, that anyone who likes her is neither of those things. Awwww.

Wow…okay. To say she is breaking down doors is a bit much, but I will say that Beyonce is indeed stepping through a few, at least when it comes to getting advertisements. Music, I wish, I do. As for the skin issue, I honestly am not well acquanted with it. It has been brought to my attention more by visiting this site. At the end of the day, Beyonce is black. She could bleach for days on end, get the blondest weave ever made, get the most revered plastic surgeon to perform a rhinoplasty and whatever else, and she would still be Black. Perhaps not an accurate representation visually, but Black nevertheless. I don’t really understand the whole color complex thing, so I feel kind of stupid discussing it.

Women hate Beyonce for more than her skin color. Black women hate Beyonce b/c she shows us, daily, how inferior we are: excellent work ethic, top of the line man, poised, never see her sweat, and she smiles thru it all. The typical underachieving Black woman hates to be confronted with what they could be, but aren’t. And then, the ***** is pretty too??? Too much. Too much!
We are comfortable with Alicia because while she is beautiful, she’s probably gay and she’s not out there OVERachieving. She’s just achieving. And something inside of us admires the fact that Alicia doesn’t have to wear weave. The ironic part of it is that if Alicia were NOT half white (as Bey isn’t), she WOULD be wearing weave. We’ve been subconsciously trained to respect the White factor (her mother) more than the black factor. Self hate has been so deeply ingrained in us that we can’t love Beyonce as we should.
Bey is no different from Oprah in terms of ambition. Imagine if Oprah were light skinned (something that matters to blacks but NOT to whites). We’d hate Oprah even more than we hate her right now. And some black women DO hate Oprah. She wouldn’t stand a chance if she were light skinned.
Instead of tearing Beyonce down we should learn from her. It’s not a black or white thing - it’s a hard working thing. if Kelly had the talent and onstage persona that Bey has, Kelly would have that same fame. WHAT other entertainer puts it down like Bey. If you can, please name a darker, equally hard working woman who is not getting any shine….? Who else is performing and working hard like that? WHOM?No one but Oprah. And she rules.

no matter how much love or dislike you have toward someone being honnest to yourself is the most important
if beyoncé’s oponent can admit her beauty but her lack of talent and stans refuse to admit the lack of talent than be it
at the end of the day she will be a joke just like diana ross [or only sasha will be]
ps: i don’t like the perfume and i hope she goes back to blond for her new album bcuz her “fan base” won’t apreciate her dark [reminding them that she is black] hair

Try taking out some of those terms like “We”, “Black Women”, and “Us” and replacing them with “I”. You can have an opinion, that’s absolutely fine. If you don’t like Alicia Keys, and respect Beyonce and Oprah, that’s fine too. But don’t go around pretending that you represent every black woman out there, that you understand every black woman out there, and you know what everyone would do, should do,has done, and has been through. If you feel like you’ve been trained to be inferior to Beyonce, to respect Alicia Keys’ White features, and that self-hate has been ingrained in you, then feel free to say that and own those feelings, but don’t push them off on everyone else.

Beyonce knows where she can fit in, her whole image is based on changing with each market she visits. When she’s around black people (BET Awards) she looks ethnic and darker, when she is performing on white awards she is pale with long bone straight hair or a long blonde wig, or when she is doing her latin thing she looks like Shakira or JLo. NO one cannot tell me she does not try to play every race. Her new album will be International Dance, you can believe its not for black folks.
To me she’s phony, it seems she looks down on darker skinned people….During her Tour all the dancers are light or white and then the dark, fat, black girls comes out to make a fool out of themselves or to have attitude like dark people are the ones with the attitude.
ITs not like we make this stuff up about her not wanting to be black…..she always promotes and has a song about being Creole, she talks about her family being from Liberia, she says she always wanted to be latin, etc. How about she makes songs to uplift black people instead of singing about “Upgrade U”, “Freekum Dress”, “Kitty Kat” and so on….

It seem like when another artist comes out she alway have to pop her head in. She need to go and chill and let miss her for awhile and come up with some grown women material instead if kiddie girl songs.

Beyonce is pimping and endorsing any and everything these days. Is she desperate for money or just desperate for attention? Overexposure will and can kill a career. Anyway, what happened to her acting career? Oh that’s right, J-Hud and Beyonce’s lack of acting skills killed that dream. LOL.
Anonymous1 said,
J-Hud will always be my hero as the woman who upstaged and gave Ms. I am already a star, I have nine grammies and I was born to play Deena a taste of her own medicine. Whatever happened to being humble and counting your blessings. Beyonce is so full of herself.

Bey, gets plenty of attention. Actually she gets too much attention. I am very tired of seeing her everywhere all the time. And as for her being a better singer than Halle is an actress, that is so far from the truty. I will admit that Bey can sing, but please dont try to match her against Halle’s acting. :stop:
I believe that African American women are ready for a darker complected woman to get the recognition that they deserve. Angela Basset is one of the most talented sista’s around today, but you don’t see her on every chanel or perfume lines or movies. :hifive:
Bey is good but don’t get it twisted she is certainly not the most talented lady of color.
I’m not hatin, but I am keepin it reel!!!!!! :brownsista:

As for the people that are calling us haters b/c we are stating our opinions, please get over it. Bey is making money by showing almost all of her body parts on a regular basis, our young girls and our men love it and it sales. But that does not make it riight. :hifive:
I do agree that once (and it will happen one day as it does to the overly exposed entertainers) her CD sales drop, she will choose more quality movie roles, songs, and she will care more about what type of image she is presenting. Believe me, time tells on everyone. :brownsista:

The comments in the post are roof positive that even Black women themselves believe that half White women are superior to Black women with two Black parents. Beyonce is ridiculed for her weave while Alicia is praised for her naturally “good” hair. Damn you women are sick and it is no wonder you are seen as the least desirable, beautiful and loyal women on the planet. Brown Sista just close down now cause you cannot win. Your credo of ” Celebrating the beauty, style and accomplishments of Black women” is just hollow. Black women will never allow other Black women to be seen by the world as anything more than ******* and whores.
Keep It Reel said,
After Dream Girl’s was released she stated that she wanted to become the first African American woman to win a Grammy, Tony and a Oscar. Who the hell is she kidding!!!!
It will never happen for her. She does not chose quality roles. She really did believe that she was going to wint he Oscar for playing Deena. I just recently saw the movie and in my opinion she should have never even been considerd for an Oscar. She only did a “so-so” job.
But Ms Jennifer (Effy) she really did deserve her award.
I wish all of my sista’s success in everything they do, but please make sure you do things that you will be proud to tell your grand, great grand children and etc….. about. !!!!!

Truer words have never been spoken.
Keep It Reel said,
April, are you upset with the truth being spoken. Yes Alicia has beautiful hair, and you cannot even mention Bey in the same conversation as Alicia. Bey is not nearly as talented in music. Maybe if Bey would stop wearing weave down to her a– and stop slinging it around so much we could try to appreciate her voice more.
Majesa said,
Any topic on Beyonce is just a free-for-all rumble. Maybe she’ll get a Grammy in February.
Why won’t my avatar work?
dottie said,
If Beyonce were to look a certain way for the black and non-black media or claims that her looks are complete knock-offs from the likes of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, shouldn’t the stylists be blamed too? The stylists and record label requires the women to look a certain way to stay in the business anyways. Some work with it, and some don’t.
The hate shouldn’t be hurled at her, it should be focused on the self-hate we have for ourselves here. She’s only doing what she wants to do to make money just like everyone else…that’s what we gotta do to make a living, right? If we wanna blame the media, fine…but don’t let that dictate on what you have to look like.

everyone with common sense in here, please dont waste ur time spittin knowledge in here to these beyonce haters. i tried already and ive noticed that their hate lies way too deep to be turned around. its jus funny to me. and these stupid “probably mostly darkskin” females inhere wonder y black men date white women all call them crazy. because white women support eachother…even if theyt dont do all the time, u rarely hear about it. plus, we *** black women are a minority and we need to stick together. but that will never happen as long as it is a pretty light skin woman doing her thang. yes, its alllllllllllll about her color, he rbody, and her super fly hairstyles. u know what u hate the most, u hate it that beyonce wears all that weave and dudes still love her….u also hate that she actually has a whoooooole lot of hair underneath those wigs. the girl has a good hair of naturally curlyt hair.shes creole for goodness sakes. if she wants to wear wigs everyday thats her bizness. i bet she takes that ish down at night and let jiggaman rub his fingers through her pretty hair. lolololololol
anyway, bey is a goddess and u people know. y dnt we be glad that she is one of us and not out there trying to be white. shes making her money jus like she know how. she does sometimes look hispanic, or lighter, or bronzer or whatever the heck u wanna call it. mostly because she is an exotic looking female and for other reasons such as: if u are to become an icon u must be able to relate to all races. its a blessing that she can relate to so many different races cuz she has those type of features. whatever and however she does her, she doing it well
and to the “nasty put sum clothes on” and freakum dress comment. u must be some old *** grandma that dont even understand the comcept of neither sond. Nasty is nasty. u can not tell me that those dresses in freakum dress looked nasty. everyone women does, or should own a sexy dress that will make ur man drool, and thats exactly what the song says…get a clue…u must not hav a man
hahahahaha
anyway, bey will prevail. the only reason j-hud won that oscar is becasue she was given the opportunity to sing like an elephant throughout the entire movie. beyonce knew that be4 she accepted the role. she knew that her character was not as strong. that jus lets u know that she could give a d**m about people talking all their ish about her role not being better than j-hud’s. just sit back and reverse the roles. if bey was given the opportunity to sing all those strong songs in the movie and j-hud sang like, what….one strong one..i gurantee u bey would have been the won to win the oscar, bey jus wanted to be apart of the movie, and obviously so did the casting direstor.
anyway, bey will win an oscar and a tony, jus wait and see. u people come in here saying that she wont cuz its actually ur worse nightmare to see it actually happen.,.dang..can u imagine that…our own people canstand the fact of one of our own getting more
