Though the official video for Beyonce’s new song “Single Ladies’s isn’t due out until tomorrow, you can get a sneak peak at the choreography in the video below. Personally, I wasn’t feeling the song but the dancing is amazing and the guy in the video is sick, he takes it to town.

Beyonce has this in the bag. She has come back strong and I ain’t mad at her. I’m happy to see her killing it already. LOL at Black people claiming Beyonce had no chance of succeeding because a washed up and nasty looking Britney Spears was back on the scene. While Britney is nude in her dull new video Beyonce is fully dressed and murdering the stage. Dude is ON FIRE! Literally. He’s way more flamboyant with the moves. Beyonce keeps it toned down and still pulls it off. I guess being a guy you have to go that extra mile to make the moves ‘look’ as they’re supposed to look.
Beyonce is a consummate performer; I’d go so far to call her shtick showgirl-esque. But this song is just :thumbsdown: I think most everyone agrees though. I can’t wait to ‘hear’ what the rest of her record will sound like. I may actually buy it…maybe.
Oh yeah, Steph, what do you think of Jazmine Sullivan? I bought her album Fearless and deem it appropriately named. This woman is a beast! I cannot stop playing the record. You think you may do a post on her one day? It is seriously one of the best soul/R&B albums of this year. Hands down. I want her to win Grammy after Grammy ‘coz this album is so good!

I wish I could dance like that! It doesn’t seem like any of the choreography is hard at ALL for her. She’s a natural at it. She looks marvelous! The song sounds like that “Get Me Bodied” song, a little. It’s not terrible, but it just sounds the same.

This song reminds me too much of get me bodied. This is a typical video by her and even though I like Beyonce, it is nothing new or original. I like If I were a boy much better because it reminds me of the song, If God Were One of Us from a few years back. All in all, I still like her so that is all that counts.

You know what’s funny?…I was a die hard Bey fan when she first came out. Granted I was 17 and still in high school i was in her range of fan [2-22 years old] unless some adults refuse to grow up and mature… [which must be the case of people on here dsom,wpc,melissa and more] Fast forward I am now 28yrs. old and I feel like she is still 17 mentally. She didn’t grow with me. I outgrew her in a major way. I’m married, college educated with a couple of kids and I look at her like “what are you thinking?’. There is nothing special about this song or video. But because it is Beyonce, you guys have to put your stamp of approval on it and bash anyone who doesn’t.

I am 27 years old and I’m the same age as Beyonce, yet every year, it seems like she is left behind a grade or two…now I am almost thirty and she’s still acting like a 20 year old….its sad….so sad…….it was a hyperactive strip tease done with a leotard meant for mindless drones to copy her every move….since there aren’t alot of bright people out there that can recognize that yes, she can “sing” and “dance”, this is not the evolution of a woman who is practically 30 years old and married…..she’s acting like a freshman in college…..and she doesn’t believe showing maturity and class will be accepted by the masses so she continues to shuck and jive her way to her bank account……..in this department…she’s no different than Rihanna or Ciara……I love Ri Ri and Ci Ci because they do show growth and change…..they are not the best singers, but what they do, they do it well….if Beyonce is supposed to be the “seasoned” iconic veteran, how come the last big hit she had was Crazy in Love?????
I’m not impressed with the song or video. This seems like the same weave swinging, butt gyrating she did last year. I know sexiness sells but I hope her next songs/videos show us something new.

jazi, didn’t she do something new with the Like A Boy video? Don’t confuse me with being a stan either because I am just calling it like I see it. The Like A Boy single, when first heard weeks ago on the website of the white girl who originally sings it, people were impressed but said no way would Beyonce ever sing a song so deep. Now we show she will and she has, so I don’t get the assertion that she never grows or switches it up. Like A Boy is like nothing she has ever done and Single Ladies is very much like what she has done in the past. She is showing the many sides of herself.
I didn’t like this song until I saw the video. Beyonce can dance, and she puts a lot of “umph” into her movements. You have to be extra confident to wear something like that and dance around in it.
B enjoys what she does…look at that killer smile at the end LOL. I hope to enjoy my future career as much.
Am I the only one who thought the video was boring. I mean, Bey looked very nice, the outfits and that dancing, but based on what the song was about….I thought there would be a lot more going on. She is telling a story in the song so I thought the video would line up. Maybe she was in a rush, who knows?

I think the song has grew on me. When I first heard it the quality was not all that. Now, I can actually hear the words clearly and I get it. Madonna sings dance music and dances and she is 50 years old and she has been doing that since the beginning of her 20-something year career! An artist should be free to express themselves in whatever type of music genre they want. If she wanted to try opera that’s her right and her freedom to make the type of music she wants to make. Fast forward I am now 28yrs. old and I feel like she is still 17 mentally. She didn’t grow with me. I outgrew her in a major way. I’m married, college educated with a couple of kids and I look at her like “what are you thinking?’. Get up off the floor and keep ur legs close. I’ve grown tired of seeing her half naked. The songs she sing are made for 16yr. olds. She’s fighting for that young crowd that has gravitated toward younger girls when she should just accept that it’s not her time. i don’t think anyone is hating, people are just giving their opinion (which it their right). Everyone does not have to like or love everythin beyonce comes out with. I know quite a few people who were turned off with her last album. the firdt week sales may have been better than the last album, but I don’t the overall sales even came close. Maybe I am wrong. I had to listen to B’Day a couple times before I was able to get into it. They were fun records. Nothing deep, well except for Resentment.
I am not sure what direction she is taking with the entire album because the two singles she released are completely different. A few of my cousins who liked the last album does nto care for the two singles and feel thatshe must not care about her fanbase anymore. None of her are in her camp, so we don’t know what the thought process is for the album.
I just hope she bring it or I will not spend my money on her album. She must not realize we are damn near in a Depression like in the 1920′s.

Ok people calm down it is just a video. First of all sex sells, it always has and always will and all artists sell it in someway, shape, or form. Female and Male. Some just do it way more than others. As fans, stans or whatever you consider yourself we go through phases where we get tired of it and crave for something different. This video didn’t give us that. But are we shocked? She has always been scantily dressed and shaking it in some way, in videos and performances, that is her thing. To me she is just one of many artists who sell sex, she just happens to be more successful than the others and her things get more publicity. So while she may try some different things, she will never leave the skimpy outfits and sexy dancing, it is her bread and butter people. Yes I was hoping to not see her butt shaking and legs open because I don’t think that will help her achieve the “iconic”standing she wants so badly. But she will have to figure that out.

Okay, on the video. Yeah it is like the stuff she usually do, but she is the “uptempo queen”. Uptempo is what she does and does well among other things. If some people feel they have outgrown that, there are other songs that people can like from her and see that there are different sides to her. I do believe the message is good though. She is telling women not to settle for men who will use them and not commit. Not to mention on the bridge she is saying that you can’t buy my love and affection, that she is more than that.
Anyways, there is a ballad that seems like she has a great message, that was in her promotion video. It seems to me that Bey is going to give different styles of music to give her electic taste and therefore will be more personal than she has been. So it is ok not to like the song and it is ok to like it. It don’t have to be WW3 in here.

I luuuv the choreography in this video, I just saw it premierd on 106th and Park, when she said she got the idea for this video, by watching a Youtube video, its simple and fun, and for Christ’s sake shes in a leotard, something you can see a dancer in a Broadway show at any given time, when did Leotards get so risque? anywhoo love it or hate it her videos alone have garnered more attention than some artists albums. and I think its smart that she came out with a double cd too represent the differance btw Bey and “Sasha Fierce” it allows her to come out with “doubled singles” and make a play for different audiences at the same time. I like some of the clothing worn by female celebrities of all shades, and sometimes want to tear up the dance floor the way they do in videos, but realize that I won’t be treated with respect by men because celebrities are protected by their celebrity status (men will think they’re off limits and out of their league) and their bodyguards–we regular women don’t have that protection, but men still feel they have the right to approach a woman disrespectfully because of what they see in videos. Those women are paid to be amenable to the approach of the rappers and ballers–and it’s acting!! But sadly, because music videos are all our young men watch, they think that is real life. I can’t stand it.

Beyonce isn’t listed as a writer and thus how can it be said she stole the song and took credit for it she isn’t listed as a writer and hasn’t publicly made the claim. Why do ppl keep saying she stole the idea? Did Alicia Keys steal the idea for her Teenage Love Affair Video? Did Michael Jackson steal the idea for Thriller and Billy Jean, both of whom were based on movies, just like Alicia Keys video. Did Rihanna steal the idea for her Shut Up and Drive video? Did Janet Jackson steal the idea for her You Want This Video? All the people and videos I just mentioned were based on movies and I can go on and on and on. Beyonce based her video on what Fosse did but the choreography is not hardly the same. Beyonce’s choreography is harder, sexier and very much original. Sometimes I think ppl just look for reasons to hate this girl.
People hate on Beyonce because Beyonce and her fans act like she is the second coming of Jesus Christ himself.

Or is this another “Emotions” type thing. They shouldn’t say ‘write’ but really specify what these artists do: like co-write or add some runs or heighten the bravado or change a cord. Ave Maria is classic and definitely didn’t come from her. Period.

I guess it’s purely praise or nothing around here. At least when it comes to Beyonce. Anything less than is nothing more than ‘hate’. Whatever that really is.
I find that’s the gist of it. Stans and Haters alike should realize the minority they’re in…ONLINE. If the internet wasn’t here with such quick clicks to links displaying # of sales and how many Grammys won and Oscars desired, these drawn-out arguments would never go on.

I’m straight telling my age, but I grew up reading it because my dad was a DJ. But even then I didn’t stan or hate for any music artist. *sigh* Anyway…carry on…

I think the song along with the choreography is awesome. It does consist of a few of her “old” moves but overall it’s great. She’s older than the new artists and is more talented than all of them put together. Give props when props are due. The lady is HOT!! She made an excellent point. Sounds like “Get me bodied” to me. Glad I grew out of her music when I did. I thought she was gonna bring out something good and different, and it still fell flat.
