Beyonce Teams Up with Top Shop

BEYONCE TEAMS WITH TOPSHOP (1)

With her own House of Dereon clothing line officially defunct, Beyonce has decided to team up with London powerhouse Topshop to launch Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd, a 50/50 joint venture that will produce an athletic streetwear brand set to launch sometime in the fall of 2015.

According to WWD, who interviewed Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, ‘Parkwood’ is not a collaboration between his company and Beyonce, but rather the building of a new brand- a completely separate business with separate overhead and separate offices.

As for Beyonce, she reportedly released a brief statement saying “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking.”

The official announcement is expected to be announced later today by Topshop in London.

  1. Bey the Boss.
    I love this woman.

I’m always proud of her growth, in various endeavors, of course.

  2. What happened to Dereon? Wasn’t ther Dereon and then House of Dereon? I know Dereon was cheap as hell, like Baby Phat, not good quality and a bit overpriced. I heard House of Dereon was more exclusive and suppose to be of better quality.

Anyway, sometimes its best to team up with those who actually know the game. A 50/50 partnership is a good thing since Topshop knows the market and how to produce and sell the product.

  3. She is going to do like she and her husband always do and overprice the items because they think everyone has an income like them. That is why his clothing line didn’t last at Barney’s for to long. This idiot had back packs for $2k and only 1% of the country can afford that.
