Beyonce To Launch Dereon Tattoos

Beyonce, her mother Tina Knowles and their licensing company, Beyond Productions LLC, have teamed up with make-up company Temptu to create a limited edition line of temporary tattoos similar to those Beyonce was seen sporting in her most recent Dereon photo shoot.

“With a Sixties-pinup-girl meets-futuristic-biker-chick theme, Beyoncé and I really wanted to give our Deréon fall 2010 campaign a tough edginess,” said Tina Knowles, Deréon’s founder, creative director and designer. “We decided to invite Temptu to help us create custom body art for her to model with our fashions. The resulting images were so strong that we realized consumers might want to re-create the tattoos themselves.”

Dereon Tattoos will make their debut on November 1st and will be available in both deluxe and basic packages. Designs will include the Dereon signature fleur icon, rocker bolts and chains, jewel baubles and spider designs.

The basic kit will retail for $16 and includes eight temporary tattoo transfer sheets with two of the four designs, 10 tattoo application pads and one of three kit designs, each featuring a different image of Beyonce shot for the fall/winter Dereon ad campaign.

The deluxe kit will retail for $34 and includes everything in the basic kit, as well as a signed photo of Beyonce and a chance to fly to New York and sit in on a Dereon photo session.

The kits will be available exclusively through Sephora stores, temptu.com and dereon.com.

  1. I think she’s only keeping up with trends, if this Chanel comparison is true, and she’s doing something to appeal to her younger audience/consumers. My niece already uses temporary tats…she’s a cheerleader and so they wear little ‘wildcats’ and paw prints for their pep rallies. LOL. This will be fun for her younger fans.

  2. I love to see a hard working woman. All the ladies on BrownSista that are highlighted in the articles are just hard working and I love it. I like the way Beyonce and her mom keep on grinding and finding a way to make money so they can enjoy their life and help others with their charities. They are truly blessed to be creative. I have heard that your gifts will make room for you you just have to keep working and doors will open for you. I wish them the best.

  3. This woman is SMART. So many people are tired of seeing her and think she’s not intelligent when all she’s doing is setting herself/family up for life and generations to come. If you were a celeb you’d be quite dumb not to take every opportunity, and all the money you can, if that’s greedy then so be it.

  4. Cool idea. Especially for us young ones. And it’s going to be sold @ Sephora aka Makeup and Skincare Heaven. For $16 bucks, it won’t hurt to try them out. I will be checking them out when they get released 🙂

  5. And it’s going to be sold @ Sephora aka Makeup and Skincare Heaven

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS Sephora is ‘Heaven’. I’m too addicted to the site/store. TOO addicted. LOL

  6. House of Done WRong was sold at Macy’s and how much success did it have? Not much…always on the 90% discount rack. LMFAOOOOOOOO

  7. @ROCKON aka THE VIRUS- Dereon is at Macy’s, Man Alive, and Dillards in my mall. If it was failing I highly doubt they would still be selling their items.

Anyways SISTA, have you seen the video of Beyonce dancing with her mother-in-laws neighbors at a block party…so humble.

  8. This idea is cool only if she wears them sometimes herself outside of a photoshoot because other than that its not believeable, meaning Bey’s image and tattoos don’t exactly go together. If this was Rhianna it would fit her image. Anyway people should see you using the product you are endorsing or promoting, it would be kinda messed up for her to want people to buy it and she won’t even wear them herself when out and about. I guess many people do that anyway.

@get real, I saw the video it was cute…what slide was that?

  9. Hmm… There was a time where hard working actually meant Hard work…ing. Congratulations to her, More money to her, Her fans seems to only worship her for that.

  10. ^^^*sigh* Bey always has stans of other artist bothered.

Moving right along, Good for Bey 🙂 Loves this chica.

  11. hmmm waiting to actually see beyonce’s face in that clip… i dont think that is her.

where is the pandamonium if it is? you cant tell me she can dance in the middle of the street without cops, body guards and everyone calling thier freinds to “come see”…and only 1 person caught it on video…

    *doubt*

  12. Tats for hoodrats. Good idea. They are some money hungry witches. And how is her “hanging” out with regular folks so called huumble? She and her whole crew are frauds! Hip hop isn’t the only thing dead, music is dead period. She is reaping from its death. Smh

  13. @Hoodratsandtats, although I completely disagree with the bitterness spewing from your keyboard, & the foolish accusatory tone of your comment, I love the “reaping from it’s death” line…that was a good one, lol.

  14. Honestly like are you people serious, when you say those ignorant things? There’s too much hate in your heart towards this woman that you DO NOT KNOW.

  15. I’m just waiting for someone to come up with the bad part about selling Dereon tattoos. . . anyone ? Okay. Anyways, a tattoo, is a tattoo. So, what if Beyonce started a whole Khaki section of Dereon, would she be copying the Khaki makers ? People just need to shut up ! It’s a freakin’ tattoo. You act like she’s taking all of your money ! As far as I knew, Chanel wasn’t the first ones making the temporary tattoos. So in that case, Chanel copied the little tattoo makers too. People should SHUT UP &nd get over it ! Millions of people are still going to like Beyonce and the few that constantly keep ravin’ on about bad things about her are still gonna be complaining. If you don’t like her, WHY ARE YOU ON THE POST?? Enough said.
