Blige To Make ‘One Life to Live’ Cameo

Though she famously sang about wanting “No More Drama” in her own life,
Mary J. Blige is about to be transplanted into a world of crime, scheming, back-stabbing and scandal. She’s taping an appearance on ABC’s “One Life to Live.”

The 35-year-old R&B diva, whose latest album, “The Breakthrough,” has sold more than two million copies, will perform two hits from that disc at the club Capricorn in the town of Llanview. The episode is set to air July 28.

“The cast and I, being huge fans of Mary J. Blige’s tremendous talent, are thrilled that she will be appearing on `OLTL,'” said executive producer Frank Valenti in a recent statement.

Erykah Badu and Chris Botti have also performed on the show.

  1. Mary has been going strong for over ten years now and her career is only getting better.Who would have thought years ago this cursing and screaming woman from the ghetto would one day be the respected artist she is.

  2. I’m not home to watch soap operas so I will miss Mary’s grand performance.I’m sure I’ll be able to find it on You Tube though. Our girl is doing big things these days.I’m hoping she’ll walk away with a few BET awards too.
