Bollywood Comes Out To Support Beyonce

Beyonce Beyonce extended her Beyonce Experience tour to perform in countries she never had before and it appears to be a wise decision on her part. Though the Beyonce Experience got rave reviews in America, attendance was beyond poor, with many arenas only half full. However, since starting out on her extended tour Beyonce has performed to sold out crowds in Russia and India, with attendance being over 20,000 at each show. Last night’s show in India was not only sold out as well but brought out some of Bollywood’s biggest stars. American stars are huge in India but rarely tour there so Beyonce coming to the country was a treat for her fans and the country in general. Beyonce in return showed her appreciation by performing some of her songs in traditional Indian attire.

More pics from Beyonce’s Mumbai show can be seen on the pages below and you can read more about India’s new found love of Beyonce here and here.

I love the way Indian women dress. They are conservative and yet beautiful and feminine at the same time. They are allowed to adorn themselves and they do it beautifully. Unlike Muslim women who are virtual slaves and oftentimes must stay hidden away and completely covered.

Again, the irony. In the first article, the writer mentions how highly allergic to perfume she is. Armani Diamonds??? So, is it hypoallergenic or something? Glad they all had a great time. The images look nice. I like saris :brownsista:

    lol…… i wonder

I do disagree with you that her concert in the US was poor. USA Today had her in the top 10 concerts in the summer(the second female, next to celine). And they only counted the first 15 shows (they did certain dates only). While the other people on the list they canted at least more than 40 shows(because they started earlier than she did).

That was smart to embrass the culture like that. It would only make headlines. no matter how tired the outfit was (not saying that it is), it’s just a big deal that she made an attempt at the end of the day. (B-DAY) (GROUNDHOGS DAY) (GROUNDHOGS YEAR)

she’s a great performer but in the beginning she was asking wayyy too much for those tix. Maybe she came to her senses & lowered the prices, hence the sold out concerts lmao.

Beyonce knows how to give respect to people and cultures and in return she gets respect from people and different cultures. God bless her for that.

@1: I cannot believe that you could be so childish as to pass negative comments on an entire religion and culture. Indian women enjoy less rights than Muslim women. Actually not a single religion give women more importance than Islam. Get your facts straight. I’m from Pakistan and I can by all means tell you way more correctly that women her do not equate emancipation with wearing lingerie outside. It takes more than less clothes for a woman to be free of society shackles, double standards and be the “independent women” and Muslim women know it.

So for your description of them as “virtual slaves”……. I hope you become a better person in the future.

Waverly you are soo ignorant! Muslim/Islam is not a race it’s a religion. Hence, some Indian women ARE in fact Muslims. And please don’t pass judgement on Muslim women until you’ve made the effort to enlighten yourself with Islam the religion and the beliefs held by Muslim women. We are all a product of our societies so you may think Muslim women are ’slaves’ and they may think vice versa of Western women, neither is correct because there is no correct opinion in situations like this. Just try to be respectful of other people’s cultures and religions, we are all equals as human beings.

Everyone knows Muslim women have no rights and are the property of their men, much like a shoe or pen or toilet.

I hope her tour does well. I never root against people trying to do something. I, a Beyonce fan since 1998 hopes she takes time off for me to miss her. I am pretty sure she wants to rest as well. And Beyonce if you are reading this and you know you need take a break, you tell your daddy “its a wrap, daddy Im tied tied tied if you want the money you get your *** up on that stag and shake your ***” I betcha he’ll leave you alone.
