The fact that Brandy has landed a starring role in the ABC pilot “This Little Piggy” does not mean she is letting her musical career fall by the wayside. News reports have the singer already back in the studio working on her sixth studio album. Brandy released her most recent CD, Human, back in November of 2008 but as of last week the album had moved less than 500,000 copies. The singer teamed up with longtime producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins on that venture but will switch things up with the next album. Norwegian production duo Stargate has been tapped to work with the singer, as has hit making wonder Ne-Yo.

Wig or natural, the short do is refreshing. She, like Cici, has been guilty of wearing too much hair. She looks good. Glad to hear she is a acting and working on a new CD.

“Human” was a solid effort it is a shame that we are not supporting our talented sisters the way we’ re supposed too, Pretty soon they will get tired of being under apreciated and will go away for ever, We have got to do something about it

Aaah, Brandy must feel good knowing that not only do loyal fans have a soft spot for her but also people in the industry today who watched Brandy exploded in the peak of her success and know the type of star power she possess. I have purchased every Brandy album and will continue to do so as long as she puts out good music.
Oh yeah, I am glad to see that she has covered the forehead. Put on a couple more lbs and she will be good as gold.
Brandy looks great! Fresh simple and natural. I love how she doesn’t go over the top with trends but keeps it low key but yet always looks classy.
Remember back in the day when Brandy, Monica and Aliyah where the young starlets in the R&B world. All three of them brought something new, different and fresh to the scene. All three were successful. Brandy and Monica’s joint “The Boy Is Mine” was my song. Loved that video.
Where did those days go? What happened to mainstream R&B radio and music when there were a variety of artist out there with their own flavor.

…nothing stays the same. Although they were all very good artist and the only 3 holding it down back THEN, times have changed and music became more futuristic…now music is not about words but the beat :bag: doesnt make it RIGHT but it is the TRUTH!
Yeah, see I dont know if im feeling Brandy anymore. I purchased her last album and now I feel like she cant contribute anything musically anymore and now that she has signed with Jay Z I feel like they will take her in the wrong direction.
I for one like the new look and wish Brandy well. She had it going on back in the nineties. Her and Monica both need to come back hard.

I agree with Dark Sista, Human was a brilliant album from last year….in fact, I love all the albums Brandy has done. But its just a shame that the nineties was really her time cos these days people are not responding to her in the same way that they respond to Beyonce, Rihanna etc, but in my opinion Brandy is equally talented. And back in the days when Brandy, Aaliyah, Monica…and even Mya were on top, they actually produced real, credible albums which u dont get much of these days….without having to take their clothes off in videos! I reckon now all the record companies will try to do is market her and make her as mainstream as possible and I’m worried she may lose her credibility!
But Brandy deserves success! and I agree with Yolanda too, Monica needs to come bk too! Her album, “The Boy is Mine” is one of my favourite albums ever! Where is she these days!?!?

There hasn’t been any close to heart, Therapeutic, realistic, humanized great album like that.
Only kind of people who wouldnt be able to appreciate the “Human” album are those who have not gone through anything in there life. Other then that, please, most people isnt even worthy of hearing that album, let them listen to the generic booty poppin bullshit.

I love Brandy’s new look, she looks laid -back and fab imo. Her last album “Human” was was hot but unfortunally it also was seriously slept on!!!!!!!! I’m happy that she’s still working though I wish her nothing but the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweetpea… I know what ur saying. I grew up listening to brandy, aaliyah, and other great performers in the early 90s. Many of us may not like today’s music but young people today will be saying the same thing we are 10 yrs. from now. Like “remember how hot lil wayne was. And keri hilson?! Man, they don’t make music like that anymore.” The older folks were probably making those kind of comments about the 90s music too. Now we’re reminiscing. LOL. Every style of music has its time.

She looks really nice. And I love the new hairstyle. All this 3-4 packs of hair women wear today look so ridiculous. And Brandy does look like she put on a few lbs. Thank God! She had the BEST body when she was on Moesha. And then I guess she became a vegan? I bought Afrodisiac but did not buy her recent album. I hope Brandy doesn’t leave the industry. We will be in trouble. It’s always refreshing to have a young artist be a LADY. It’s too much sex and nursery rhymes being sung and treated like its superior.
