Rap’s royalty converged on the Brooklyn Academy of Music last night to tape the 2009 VH-1 “Hip Hop Honors” special. This year’s show paid tribute to the legendary Def Jam label and included performances from Mary J. Blige & Method Man, Ashanti & Ja Rule, Chrisette Michele & Ghostface Killah, Eve, Foxy Brown, and many others. The special won’t air until October 13th, however pics from the even are readily available below.
