The 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards ceremony was held earlier this evening at the Boisfeuillet Jones Civic Center in Atlanta, Georgia. And as expected, the event was a testosterone filled extravaganza that only came to a crescendo when the fellas stepped aside and the ladies of hip hop were allowed to take over. Providing the night’s most unforgettable moment, MC Lyte, Salt n’ Pepa with Spinderalla, as well as Yo-Yo and Lady of Rage, took to the stage and rattled off a medley of their hits, including Cha Cha Cha, You Can’t Play With My Yo-Yo, My Mic Sounds Nice, and Push It.
Look for the show to actually air on BET Thursday, October 23rd at 8:00 p.m.

Keri Hilson looks really great but it is time she let that style of shoe go. It does nothing except make her look short. Not everything is for everybody and that style of shoe-boot is not for her. the same goes for Lola Luv. Short women have no business wearing that type of shoe and it neither shoe should be worn with their dresses.

I like Keri’s hair. Monica looks cute, but should’ve left the oversized LV bag off the red carpet…..then again, it is the BET Hip Hop Awards so I guess it doesn’t even matter :roll:

I think ciara, keri washington, and toccara look good. That short hair on keri hilson is really cute. That wild color she had before was not doing anything for her.
I think Tocarra looks very sloppy. Keri Hilson hair is a big improvement and I think Angel Lola Luv looks quite classy.

I love Keri’s hair. Lady of Rage looks the same as she did in the 90’s, she needs a new look. Everyone’s makeup looks really good. Yo Yo’s dress doesn’t look right to me. I think it would have looked better with both sleeves.

Yo-Yo looks the same as she did 15 years ago and so does Lady of Rage. Salt and Pepa look the same too. Only Spin looks like she’s aged a bit.
I think Ciara looks to old, she needs a pop of color in her outfit and stop adding SO much hair. A lot of these women need to hire and stylist everything that is trendy does’nt look good for every body type (Toccara). Keri Hilson looks as if she tries to hard to stand out, she and all the women for that matter could use some pointers from Kerry Washington she looks Age Appropriate and Elegant in an effortless manner. Yo-Yo and Angel Lola Luv should stay out of the Junior Department and Macy’s. I would like to close by saying it should’nt matter if you are attending the BET awards or the Oscar’s women should always look the part.

honestly i think keri hilson looks gorgeous.. her hair n the dress compiment each other very well. tiffany evans looks a hot mess.. i dont kno wut she was thinking. Kerry Washingon also looks good. Ciara looks boring to me.. i expected more from her. Monica cud have deff did without that suitcase shes carrying. I also have mixed feelings about Yo-Yos outfit. & i think that Lady of Rage did the whole afro Puffs thing on purpose.. hence she performed the afro-puff song. Now wut wud she look like performing that song without the puffs???
