As previously reported, Halle Berry has teamed up with perfume giant, Coty, to release her own signature line of fragrances. The 42 year old actress, who was just named “Sexiest Black Woman Alive” by TV One, was seen filming the first commercial for that fragrance yesterday in Hawaii. Speaking of her deal with the frangrancier, Halle said: ““For years I’ve created my own personal scent by mixing fragrances at home. I am passionate about this project as I’ve always wanted hands-on experience in creating a fragrance that is a true representation of me. Selecting a fragrance is a very personal choice and I am delighted to have this opportunity to express myself in a creative new way working with Coty.” Look for Halle’s fragrance to make it’s worldwide debut in the Spring of 2009 and to check out TV One’s countdown of the 16 Sexiest Black Women, tune in to the cable channel this Sunday, July 6th.

Model, actress, and talk show hostess, Tyra Banks, has been immortalized in wax. Madame Tussands in Washington D.C unveiled their wax figure of the fashion icon and as per all Madame Tussands’ figures, the likeness is astonishing. The figure of Tyra is posed with her hands on her hips and is shown wearing a black wrap dress, beige patent leather peep-toe pumps and gold and black bangle bracelets. As many of you already know, Tyra recently won her first Daytime Emmy for her work on her talk show. The model is also bringing back America’s Next Top Model for an eleventh season and has finished principle shooting on her latest reality venture, Stylista.

On June 30th R n’ B chanteuse Chrisette Michelle took the stage to perform at Seagram’s Vsessions which was hosted by Vibe Magazine. The Grammy nominated singer performed at New York City’s lower east side Boucarou club to an enthusiastic crowd of fans, including Vibe’s Editor Danyel Smith and Latina girl group Nina Sky. Vsessions presents the best in live urban entertainment featuring a different guest performer every month and in a different city. Past performers include Brown Sistas Cheri Dennis as well as Elisabeth Withers.

The Michelle Williams publicity machine is in full effect y’all. Destinys Child’s most underrated member is out to make her musical mark in 2008 and she started this past weekend weekend by giving her first live performances of her new music in her hometown of Chicago and at a small club in New York City. First Michelle hit up the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue (June28th) to perform as well as sign copies of her new single. The next day the singer was off to New York where she performed in front of a small but very lively crowd of well wishers. Michelle gave a great performance of her current single “We Break The Dawn” as well as what is said to be her second single” Hello Heartbreak”.

The former “Princess of the ROC”, is trying to make a musical comeback in 2008 and has been keeping a very high profile lately, attending various hot and cold Hollywood events, as well as hosting a few of her own in support of Jean Addicts, for which she is the spokesmodel for.

Congrats go out to actress Joy Bryant as the 31 year old “Virtuality” star wed her boyfriend this weekend during a beachside ceremony at a private residence in Amagasett, New York. Joy, who is also a former model who was spotted while attending Yale University on a full academic scholarship, met her stuntman fiance, David People, while filming the Martin Lawrence comedy “Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins”. People Magazine reports that wedding guests received e-mail invitations to the ceremony that simply requested that “Ladies, leave their Manolos at home.” The actress is reported to have worn a custom dress designed by her friend Angela Missoni, while the groom sported a grey Calvin Klein suit. No official pics from the ceremony have been made available yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before they hit the net.

As Brown Sista previously reported, singer Erykah has been tapped by the great Tom Ford himself, to be the face of his new women’s fragrance. Well, now we can tell you the name of that fragrance is “White Patchouli” and to your right is the first print advertisement featuring Erykah to make it’s debut. Several images of Erykah have been shot for this campaign and more will officially debut this September in US Magazine. So what do you guys think of the ad? I love it and though many balked at the idea of Erykah as a model, I knew this was right up her alley. Erykah possesses a gorgeous bone structure and can change her look at the drop of a hat. She is a chameleon and that is truly what great models are made of.

The video for Jennifer Hudson’s new single “Spotlight” premiered last night on BET’s pre- awards show. As you all know, Jennifer’s first solo CD is due to hit record stores later on this year and a lot is riding on the success of this first single. Check out the video above and tell us what you think? Singer Toni Braxton was spotted last night by the paparazzi heading to Mr Chow’s restaurant after having taken in The BET Awards on the low. The singer, whose Las Vegas act was recently cancelled due to health concerns, looked fit and in good spirits. Toni hadn’t been seen out in public in months, leaving many to speculate that her condition was possibly grave. Glad to see whatever was ailing Toni has been taking care and let’s hope she stays well.
