Tia Mowry Joins Rosewood Cast
Actress Tia Mowry is joining the cast of Rosewood. The former Instant Mom star has been tapped for a multi-episodic arc set to begin when the show returns after its mid-season finale on March 2, 2016.
Tia is set to play the role of Cassie, a childhood friend of Pippy’s (Gabrielle Dennis). She reportedly owns her own successful business, despite being homeless as a teen after her parents discovered she was a lesbian and kicked her out.
Over the weekend Serayah McNeill lent her celebrity to the grand opening of Sephora’s Powell Street store in San Francisco. The twenty-year-old Empire actress was joined by company CEO Calvin McDonald, and hordes of fans who lined up hours in advance for the opportunity to meet the burgeoning superstar.
Serayah called herself a longtime fan of the cosmetics super-store, saying she always feels better about life after a day of beauty shopping. “Call me silly,” she told fans via Twitter, “but I always feel super inspired after I leave Sephora.”
As many of you already know, The X-Files is being revived by Fox. Nearly fourteen years after its last episode aired, the show is set to return in January with six new episodes. I just finished watching the pilot, My Struggle, which Fox graciously made available to bloggers for screening.
Tweet has unveiled the cover art for her new album Charlene. The project also has an official release date of January 22, 2016.
The album is Tweet’s first full length project since the 2005 release of It’s Me Again. However, a five track EP titled Simply Tweet, was released in 2013, and marked the first original music fans had gotten from the singer in almost a decade.
“Words can’t express how much I am looking forward to my fans hearing what I have been working on,” Tweet recently told reporters. “If they missed me, half as much as I’ve missed them, then we are in for a wonderful journey.”
Season 4 of “Tamar & Vince” Returns to WeTV December 10th
If you need a little more Tamar and Vince in your life you’re in luck. The fourth season of the couple’s hit reality series, aptly titled Tamar & Vince, is set to return to your TV screens next month, December 10th.
WeTV has just released a super-trailer for the new season that seems to deal with a lot of the pressure Tamar must be feeling having to balance both her personal and professional life. Juggling life as a wife, mother, star of two reality shows and a talk show can’t be easy, which I guess is why things eventually come to a head in the clip below.
Singer Chrisette Michele is back with a new single titled Steady. The uptempo track is the first to be released from her upcoming fifth solo album, tentatively titled Milestone and set for an early 2016 release.
According to Chrisette, Steady is all about her career, telling Billboard recently “I have taken my time and crafted my sound over the past decade. I feel more in tune with myself musically, and that enables me to set my own trends, rather than follow the trends set by others.”
Naomi Campbell Lingerie Lines Debuts Via Yamamay
Supermodel Naomi Campbell has teamed up with Italian intimate wear company Yamamay to release her first collection of seasonal lingerie.
The I Am Naomi Campbell line features six variations of bras, panties, slips, robes, camisoles and bodysuits. Each comes in a different color, and is embellished with what the company calls “precious decors.”
Superstar singer Ciara is set to be featured on tomorrow night’s episode of Revealed, a Fuse original series that looks at the back story of some of today’s biggest artists.
For her episode, Ciara chronicles her rise from girl group-wanna be, to global celebrity. “Our management at the time knew I wanted to be a solo artist,” Ciara told Fuse. I eventually got the call and from there was introduced to producer Jazzy Pha.”
Missy Elliott is back with the video for her new Pharell-assisted single WTF. The Dave Meyers directed visual is Missy’s first in almost seven years and does an excellent job at reminding us why she is considered one of the genres all-time greats.
So here it is guys, your first look at Vivica A. Fox as she appears on next week’s episode of Empire. As previously reported, Vivica has been booked for a multi-episode arc playing the role of Candace, Cookie’s estranged sister. Word around the water cooler is that Candace and Lucious knew each other intimately back in the day (but you ain’t heard that from me).
Vivica is set to appear in two episodes before Empire goes on hiatus. My Bad Parts airs November 18th and Sinned Against airs the week after that. I’m hoping Fox makes previews available to bloggers, because I am beyond excited to see Taraji P. Henson, Vivica Fox and Tasha Smith all on my screen at the same time.
Health concerns have forced singer Tamar Braxton to drop out of this season’s Dancing with the Stars. Via her Facebook page, Tamar informed fans that what doctors originally thought was pneumonia, is actually something far more serious.
After not feeling well, Tamar says she went to the hospital before Monday night’s show, but still chose to perform despite doctor’s orders. However, with her symptoms progressively getting worse, Tamar says she returned to the hospital after the show, only to be told by doctors she did not have pneumonia, but rather blood clots in both her lungs.
While her screen time on this season of Empire may have been dramatically slashed, singer-actress Serayah McNeill doesn’t seem to be sweating the snub, as it has apparently given her more time to work on her debut album.
The 19-year old California native has been in the studio since early summer working on new songs, some of which she has uploaded to her official Sound Cloud page, Serayah Love.
Reagan Gomez Preston Launches New Web Series Titled “Surviving.”
Actress Reagan Gomez Preston isn’t waiting for Hollywood to gift her with her next big role. Rather, the outspoken former star of The Parent ‘Hood, has taken things into her own hands and launched her
very first second web series.
Surviving debuted earlier this month via You Tube and follows Shayla, a nurse who’s forced to flee her home when the city becomes overrun with victims suffering from a mysterious flu.
After two seasons, WeTV has decided to pull the plug on SWV Reunited. The group’s official Facebook page broke the news to fans, as well as the circumstances surrounding the unexpected cancellation.
