She’s Gotta Have It: Nola Darling and Her Men
As previously reported, Spike Lee’s 1986 hit film She’s Gotta Have It is officially coming to Netflix as a series. We were introduced to the new Nola Darling, played by actress DeWanda Wise in a previous video, and now, thanks to another promo video, we get to meet Cleo Anthony (Greer Childs), Lyric Bent (Jamie Overstreet) and Anthony Ramos (Mars Blackmon), the three men who will be playing her lovers.
Netflix Renews ‘Dear White People’
Netflix’s recent canceling spree has officially come to an end. Over the weekend the network announced the renewal of two of its freshman series, F is for Family and the Ivy League college dramedy Dear White People. The latter’s cast broke the news to fans while appearing on a panel at this year’s Essence Musical Festival.

Justine Skye has landed her first acting role. The up-and-coming R&B singer will star opposite Tyler Dean Flores in the Keanu Reeves-produced coming-of-age film Green Dolphin. The road trip style drama follows 15-year old Robinson (Flores) and 20-year old Keesha (Skye) as they crisscross the country in an attempt to escape Robinson’s abusive and drug-dealing foster parents.
