Singer Tamar Braxton hit up the Arsenio Hall Show earlier this week to perform All the Way Home, the third single to be released from her #1 R&B album Love and War.
Tamar will continue to promote the CD when she hits the road on October 20th as part of John Legend’s Made for Love Tour.
In a recent interview Tamar also disclosed plans to re-release Love and War sometime next year. According to Tamar, fans can expect full length versions of She Did that and One on One, as well as several rap collaborations.
In the meantime, enjoy Tamar’s performance below, as well as her upcoming performance on the Soul Trains Awards.
Toni Braxton and Babyface’s new Love, Marriage & Divorce CD has officially gotten a cover image and new release date.
Once scheduled to be unveiled on December 3rd, the pair have now moved the release date up by a week to November 25th. They have also revealed the cover, which I have posted up top. The album title, which was rumored to undergo a name change, only got an “&” added to it, which I think is pretty sad. I believe a more upbeat title would have been a better choice.
Toni was asked about the title in a recent interview with Rollingstone and had this to say: “I think because Babyface and I have both gone through divorces, we can relate and we can collaborate together on this topic and make it so others who have gone through this situation can relate as well.”
R&B singer Sevyn Streeter has finally released the visuals for her new single It Won’t Stop. The track features Sevyn’s longtime mentor Chris Brown and is the first single to be released from the singer/songwriter’s eagerly awaited debut EP Call Me Crazy, But…, which arrives digitally on November 5th.
Chris makes a brief appearance in the video, which he also directs, before stepping aside and letting Sevyn do her thing.
Check it out below.
FYI: Sevyn will celebrate the release of Call Me Crazy, But… by hitching a ride to K. Michelle’s upcoming Rebellious Soul Tour, which is being sponsored by BET’s Music Matters campaign.
The tour kicks off on November 4th and wraps up on December 3rd. Click here to see is the pair will be stopping by a city near you.
Singer Mary J. Blige isn’t the only R&B diva planning on releasing a Christmas album this year. Tamar Braxton officially threw her hat in the ring a few weeks ago and has just unveiled the cover and title for her new project.
With a release date of November 11th, Tamar’s Winter Loverland will arrive just in time for the Christmas buying season, which officially kicks off on Black Friday.
Winter Loverland is currently available for pre-order via Amazon and will feature Christmas classics like Santa Baby, Silent Night, plus original tunes She Can Have You and No Gift.
Sounds like Tamar’s offering may have a little sass to it.
My favorite family TV reality series is almost ready to make its return.
The third season of Braxton Family Values is due to return in November and WeTV promises it will be the most exciting to date.
Toni is officially un-retired. Tamar is learning to balance motherhood and work. Trina is still contemplating divorcing Gabe. Towanda is celebrating turning 40 by taking it all off and poor Traci is just learning that her husband may have fathered a child she knew nothing about.
All that and more is featured in the newly released clip below.

Rihanna’s Glamour magazine cover shoot, lensed back in August while the singer visited her home country of Barbados for the annual Koodament Day Parade, officially hit newsstands across the country today.
I picked up my digital copy via the Play Store, and surprisingly, Rihanna’s accompanying interview manages to touch on several topics I’ve never heard the singer talk about before.
Check the excerpts below to find out who Rihanna’s style icons are. Whether she ever regrets sharing so much of herself online. The difference between Robyn and Rihanna, and much more.
Though she refuses to call ‘Rihanna’ her alter-ego, the singer does say there is a difference between who Robyn is and who Rihanna is: When people call me Robyn, my head just flies around because I feel like that person knows me. But Rihanna, that tends to be people’s own creation. Robyn is who I am. Rihanna- that’s an idea of who I am.
Rihanna on dealing with the oodles of bad press she gets for her out of control image: Well, I can’t run from it. You can’t change who you are. It’s important for me to know who I am and work with that. They’re gonna keep knocking away at this until it all comes crashing down. But I’m not gonna ever crash. I’m in control.
Rihanna on coming up with the idea for her Styled to Rock reality fashion competition: I felt like there were all these talented people in New York who had a very keen eye for style and design, but I couldn’t find them to work with. I get excited by discovering new designers. I’m obsessed with being first with everything in fashion.
Rihanna on her style icons: I love Nicole Richie. She just pisses me off, she’s so good. But you know who is the best who ever did it? Princess Diana. She was like- she killed it. Every look was right. She was gangsta with her clothes. She had these crazy hats. She got oversize jackets. I loved everything she wore.
Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson does her best Olivia Pope impersonation for a just released Funny or Die clip that touts the benefits of President Obama’s signature piece of legislation, the Affordable Care Act.
The parody shows Hudson looking to fix a number of scandals, only to realize they are simple matters that can easily be fixed via the ACA, which officially becomes available to all Americans today.
The clip was paid for and produced by a small group of Hollywood entertainers who support the President and his healthcare initiative. Hudson, along with Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler and Oprah Winfrey, have all thrown their support behind ACA and plan to launch future celebrity PSAs to attract the nation’s growing segment of young people who have no healthcare.
Thanks to Tyra’s continued success with America’s Next Top Model, Naomi was able to score her own TV modeling competition The Face, which was recently picked up for a second season and is due to start airing in Australia and the U.K. later this year.
Likewise, thanks to Tyra’s former success as a talk show host, Naomi too is rumored to have recently been offered the opportunity to host her own daytime chat fest.
On the eve of her appearance at next month’s global television conference MIPCOM, Naomi reportedly dropped the news while discussing her plans to expand The Face to more markets overseas.
“I’ve been offered several opportunities by a major U.S. network,” Naomi reportedly told the Telegraph. “Right now I am focused on expanding The Face but I’m ruling nothing out. I’ve already started doing my research.”
Rumor has it the network is Fox and that they’re looking to shore up their daytime line-up with hosts they hope can bring in a younger audience, à la The Wendy Williams Show and Tamar Braxton’s The Real.
