According to the NY Post, rapper Foxy Brown is pregnant and supposedly getting married next month. Foxy apparently blurted out the good news after being released from police custody after yet another run in with the law. Foxy, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was released on her own recognizance after being arrested by a New Jersey State Trooper for driving with a suspended license and apparently giving false information about her identity. No word yet as when the baby is due or who the mysterious father/fiancé is.

As you all know, female celebrities are coming out with their own fragrances at such a rapid pace that it is almost impossible to keep up with all the new scents. Beyonce is lending her name to Emporio Armani’s Diamonds fragrance. While Jennifer Hudson is now the new face of Avon’s long running Amari perfume. Not to be left out, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stephani and even Mariah Carey have jumped on the bandwagon and are not just becoming the face of a product, but creating signature scents for themselves in the same way Cher, Elizabeth Taylor, and even Jennifer Lopez did.

ABC has adapted the Broadway play, A Raisin In The Sun, and will air the revival directly after the 2008 Oscar telecast. The film will reunite director Kenny Leon with the cast of the acclaimed revivial- Sean Diddy Combs, Sanaa Lathan, Audra McDonald and Phylicia Rashad. Also reprising his stage role is Bill Nunn as Bobo. Also featured in the adaptation are John Stamos as Carl Lindner, Sean Patrick Thomas as George, David Oyelowo as Asagai, Justin Martin as Travis, Ron C. Jones as Willy and Emily Swiss as Priscilla.

Elise Neal is one of my favorite actresses but I rarely get information about her worth posting. Aside from her girl group, Assorted Flavors, and the occasional rumor that she will portray Karrine Steffans in the film adaptation of Video Vixen, very little else is ever written online or in print about this sista. This however has not stopped Elise from making the occasional appearance at Hollywood functions and such is the case with the pic to your upper right. Elise was one of several actresses who took to the runway for the Celebrity Catwalk For Charity Event.

According to MTV.de, singer Mary J. Blige is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband, Kendu Isaacs, sometime early next year. So far I cannot find this story in English but below is a loosely translated version of what MTV Germany wrote on their website.

It appears Lil Mama’sLip Gloss anthem is having an affect on not only young women, but cosmetic counters across the country as well. Neither MAC or Loreal will release numbers, but word is both companies have seen a spike in sales since the teenage rapper’s catchy summer anthem was released earlier this year. So my question is, how many ladies here will admit to tossing out their lipstick in favor of lip gloss, all because of this song?

Now that Melanie Brown has married Stephen Belafonte, the media’s focus seems to have shifted from Eddie Murphy, to Melanie’s new hubby, who seems to have a very jaded past. According to news reports, Stephen lists his last name on their marriage certificate as Belafonte when in actuality it is Stansbury. There are also reports that he tried to pass himself off as Dionne Warwick’s nephew and Harry Belafonte’s son. The most troubling news however is how many times Stephen has been arrested for violent crimes, all against past girlfriends.

Janet Jackson’s new movie, Why Did I Get Married?, is due to hit theaters October 12th and Yahoo.com has the first look at what both Janet and Tyler Perry fans can expect from their joint venture. Why Did I Get Married is the big screen adaptation of Perry’s stage play about the trials of marriage, and what happens to one family when a sexy young vixen arrives on the scene. The movie also stars Dreamgirls actress, Sharon Leal, singer Jill Scott and Girlfriends co-star, Keesha Sharp.

Singer Ashanti has apparently put her musical career on hold to protect us all from flesh eating zombies. As many of you already know, Ashanti has been racking up acting credits since she released her last album, Concrete Rose, in 2004. Since then she has starred in The Muppet’s Wizard Of Oz (2005), Coach Carter (2005), and John Tucker Must Die (2006). Keeping the streak going, Ashanti will next appear alongside Milla Jovovich in this fall’s Resident Evil: Extinction.
