Eddie Who?

Nicole Murphy’s new BFF, Melanie Brown, was spotted over the weekend vacationing down in Miami with her new fiancĂ©. Just days after slapping Eddie Murphy with a paternity suit and getting comfy cozy with his ex-wife, Melanie shows no signs of a woman under stress and looks like she has finally put Eddie in her past.

Tameka & Usher Are Married

It’s official- Tameka Foster and Usher Raymond are now man and wife. According to the Chicago-Sun Times, Usher married Tameka, his stylist and soon to be mother of his child, at his lawyer’s office with plans for a formal ceremony to be announced at a later date. We here at Brown Sista salute the happy couple, especially Tameka who endured months of brutal character assassination by the media and even her own family members. But love prevailed and Tameka ultimately got to walk away with what she wanted all along- her man.

Nicole & Melanie Do Lunch

I originally started not to post about this because I found the situation to be rather sad and embarrassing for all involved. However, after viewing footage of Melanie Brown and Nicole Murphy meeting to have lunch at the paparazzi infested Ivy Restaurant, I decided to throw in my two cents after all. First of all, this entire lunch date was an obvious publicity stunt more than likely devised by Melanie’s celebrity scandal chasing lawyer, Gloria Allred. I mean really, if Nicole and Melanie really wanted to sit down and get to know each other and their respective children, wouldn’t a private meeting at one of their homes been a much better place to do such a thing?

Inside Vibe Vixen’s Final Issue

Final Vixen As previously reported, Vibe Vixen has released it’s final issue with Rihanna on the cover, and in true Vibe style, they sent me my digital and print issues weeks late. I am somewhat forgiving though as this issue doesn’t appear to be half as boring as many of the others. Hoping to go out with a bang, Vixen not only featured Rihanna on the cover and in an amazing fashion spread, but also had a great round table discussion with various women in the entertainment field about the representation of Black women in the media and even threw in a little scandal by featuring a very in depth interview with Karrine Steffans. Oh, and did I mention fellow Brown Sista blogger, Natasha Eubanks of YBF, is also featured in the magazine?

RiRi Takes Her Toe Shopping

Rihanna Broken Toe Shop Fest Proving that not even an injured foot can stop a woman from doing what she was born to do, Rihanna was spotted shopping while hobbling around on crutches. No one knows exactly how the singer was injured, but word has it a disgruntled fan attacked her with one of her signature $50.00 umbrellas. Undaunted, Rihanna took her injured toe on a shopping spree on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. Rihanna first hit up Madison but had her chauffeur take her across the street to Diavolina, when her toe complained of the prices.

Mel B. Readies Her Comeback

The Spice Girl Part 2 When not making plans to sue Eddie Murphy for all he’s worth, Melanie Brown spends her free time getting ready to resurrect the band that made her a superstar nearly 10 years ago. The Spice Girls are ready to give us what we really, really want, and we’ve got the overly airbrushed promo shot from their upcoming tour to prove it. Though the Spice Women are all in their early thirties and hardly in need of artificial enhancement, someone clearly thought otherwise.

Karrine Steffans: Vixen Diaries

Karrine Steffans Video vixen Karrine Steffans has sat down with Essence magazine to talk about her upcoming book, The Vixen Diaries, and as usual she holds nothing back. Among other things, Karrine touches on her relationship with her mother and why she was able to forgive certain men in her life who may have wronged her but not the woman who gave her life. I found the interview to somewhat interesting, not enough to make me buy the book, but interesting nonetheless.
