Ciara has signed to IMG Models according to a post the singer shared with fans via Instagram. “I’m super thrilled about partnering with IMG Models,” Ciara told her eleven million followers. “I have always had a strong love for fashion and I’m grateful to be surrounded by so many great friends that are the best at what they do in the industry. This partnership will give me an opportunity to grow and experiment as an artist. I truly look forward to all the amazing things we have planned ahead.”
Ciara’s Essence Magazine Photo Shoot
Kudos to Ciara for finally landing the cover of Essence magazine. The Body Party singer was lensed for the cover and inside photo shoot by Dennis Leupold, one half of the photography duo of Gomillion & Leupold. The duo previously worked with Ciara during her Basic Instinct era and have also directed videos for Fantasia (Without Me) and Jennifer Lopez (Same Girl).

Ciara Leaving Epic Records for Independent Deal
Ciara is reportedly looking to sever ties with both her label, Epic Records, and her manager, Lisa Ellis. While promoting his memoir Sing to Me: My Story of Making Music, Finding Magic and Searching for Who’s Next, L.A. Reid reportedly told a small crowd of fans the singer was choosing to voluntarily leave the label. Ciara has been signed to Epic since 2012 and has released two albums under the label’s guidance, including 2015’s Jackie, which spawned the platinum selling hit I Bet.
