Rihanna Wears Her Own Brand

Rihanna’s days of making other designers rich may soon be coming to an end. The 25-year old pop diva has hung up her haute couture duds and has instead been seen jet setting across the globe in her own signature wears.

As previously reported, RiRi teamed up with River Island to launch her own capsule collection with the brand, and is presently gearing up for the September 12th release of her fall line.

Earlier this week Rihanna was seen sporting one of her own designs, a black and white print bodycon dress, which she paired with snakeskin stilettos from Roberto Cavalli, and her now signature RiRi Woo Lipstick by MAC.

Love it!

CiCi Hosts Pool Party in Topshop Bodysuit

CIARA TOSHOP BODY SUIT AND MATCHING SKIRT

Ciara Hosts Vegas Pool Party

Rihanna’s lawsuit against Topshop for misappropriating her image on a line of t-shirts hasn’t stopped other Hollywood heavyweights from rocking the fashions of the retail giant.

Ciara is a longtime fan of the clothier, and wore one of their designs while performing in Vegas over the weekend.

The really cool part is that CiCi’s ensemble is totally is affordable, and will run you less than $100 should you choose to cop the look for yourself.

Ciara performed at Ditch Fridays at the Palms Hotel & Casiono Resort wearing a “Stars Motel Bodysuit” for $36 and matching “Big Wheel Printed Tube Skirt” for $56.

CiCi topped off her ensemble with white Christian Louboutin stiletto heels and silver bangles by Celine.

Olivia Pope Inspired Fashion Line

OLIVIA POPE INSPIRED FASHION LINE

Wanna dress like Olivia Pope?

What a stupid question; of course you do.

Well, according to ‘Scandal’ costume designer Lyn Paolo, the average American woman may soon get the chance to do just that.

In a recent interview with Fashionista.com, Paolo said the idea of an Olivia Pope inspired fashion line has been talked about for some time now, and that ideas are presently being mulled over.

“We’ve been talking about how we could create something aspirational for the audience- something Olivia Pope might wear, but not so aspirational that it is out of reach for most of our gladiators,” says Paolo. “Right now we’re throwing around ideas and trying to figure out how to do it so that it’s not out of the price range that most people can afford, and yet somehow still create something for people to have a piece of the Olivia Pope look.”

Since its mid-season debut in 2012 ‘Scandal’ has become a bonafide hit for ABC and singlehandedly launched actress Kerry Washington’s career into the stratosphere.

The show earned its first Emmy nods earlier this week- one for Kerry as Lead Actress, the other for Dan Bucatinsky as Guest Actor.

Ashanti Wows in Michael Costello

Ashanti wowed the paparazzi last night while attending the 2013 Pre-BET Awards Celebration. The 32-year old R&B diva wore a gorgeous python dress ($695) designed by former Project Runway contestant Michael Costello. Ashanti paired her look with minimal make-up, accessories by Jade and gold-trimmed pumps ($1,695) by Giuseppe Zanotti.

What She Wore: Rihanna in Tom Ford

RIHANNA-TOM FORD

It’s rare for Rihanna to make a fashion faux pas, but when she does, it tends to be a biggie.

Such is the case with these printed thigh high boots from Tom Ford the singer was spotted wearing over the weekend.

The designer gifted the 25-year old pop diva with the boots just before her sold out concert at Twickenham Stadium in London.

Rihanna was later spotted wearing them out for an evening of partying with bestie Melissa Ford.

The $4,200 peep toe boots are a part of Tom’s Winter/Fall 2013 collection which was unveiled earlier this year and aren’t yet available to the public.

Rihanna paired the unusual boots with a zippered white Trapstar t-shirt and bedazzled black and white Chanel cuffs.

Affordable indeed.

Kenya Moore in Lanvin

Former Miss USA turned reality show star, Kenya Moore, was a vision loveliness earlier this week as she walked the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Tyler Perry’s new film ‘Peeples.’

Kenya wore a gorgeous one-shoulder jersey dress by Lanvin, which she paired with Christian Loboutin’s ever popular Daffodil Glitter Pumps.

Lanvin’s Asymmetrical Draped Dress retails for $4,865, while the Louboutin pumps seem almost economical for the price of $644 via Neiman Marcus.

Kenya is rumored to be holding out for more money before deciding on whether she will return for the sixth season of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’

Word is Kenya is looking for a paycheck to rival that of original cast member NeNe Leakes. NeNe reportedly struck a deal with Bravo to be paid$1,000,000 for the upcoming season, plus bonuses.

Should Bravo pay Kenya to keep on twirling?

You tell us.

Janelle Monae Rocks TopShop

JANELLE MONAE 10 & PARK TOPSHOP LOOK (0)

Singer Janelle Monae paid a visit to BET’s 106 & Park last week wearing one of my favorite fashion looks: a white pant suit.

Janelle, known for rocking a pompadour and tuxedo, switched things up a bit, keeping the pompadour but switching out the masculine tuxedo for a gorgeous Topshop grossgain collar blazer and matching wide-leg trousers.

Janelle’s look is surprisingly affordable, coming in at a cool $300 for the top and bottom. The affordability however ends at the ankles. Janelle paired her minimalist look with Janis Two-Tone Cap-Toe Platform pumps which retail at Bergdorf Goodman for an eye-popping $745.00.

OUCH!

Still love this look… though I know I could have found a cuter and cheaper version of that pump.
