After having just watched the pilot episode of Minority Report, Fox’s new sci-fi drama staring Meagan Good, I think I can safely say the actress has finally found her sweet spot.
Meagan is no stranger to leading lady status, having helmed NBC’s Deception back in 2013. However, if you watched that show, then you know that while Meagan was billed as the star, she was often cast aside in the storyline, which led to disgruntled fans, low ratings and eventual cancelation. “Think Like a Man” actress, Meagan Good, is the new face of Luster Products “Smooth Touch” brand of relaxers.
The 30-year actress is following in the footsteps of singers Keyshia Cole and LeToya Luckett, both of whom have represented the line in the last few years. Keyshia’s stint started in 2008 and ended in 2010. She was then replaced by LeToya who represented the brand up until March of this year.
The endorsement is another feather in Meagan’s already crowded cap. The actress has had a super successful stint on this season’s Showtime dramedy “Californication,” as well as a starring role in the Sony blockbuster “Think Like a Man.” Meagan will next be seen starring in the NBC pilot for their upcoming cop drama “Notorious.” Oh, and did I mention she is also engaged to an exec at Sony Pictures.
All in all, I would say that Meagan is definitely #winning.
Actress Meagan Good is about to get her first shot at starring in a network television series. According to published reports, the 30-year old California native has been tapped to star in the NBC pilot “Notorious.”
The hour long drama is described as an opulent soap in which detective Joanna Locasto (Meagan) returns to the wealthy family she grew up in to investigate the mysterious murder of her childhood friend.
In addition to “Notorious,” rumor has it Meagan’s successful season long stint on the Showtime dramady “Californication” could be extended into next season as well.
Meagan joins an ever growing list of black women who have been tapped to either star or co-star in several high profile network shows this upcoming season.
As previously reported, Kerry Washington will be starring in the ABC drama Scandal, Kym Whitley will join Tracee Ellis Ross in the NBC pilot “Bad Girls,” Danai Gurira will co-star in “The Walking Dead,” while Salli Richardson-Whitfiled will join the cast of yet another NBC pilot, Roseanne Barr’s “Downwardly Mobile.”
Actress and budding singer, Meagan Good, is making moves on both the big and small screen. After appearing in three films this year alone, the 30-year old California native switched things up a bit by signing on to play the role of Kali in the upcoming fifth season of Showtime’s hit dramady ‘Californication.’
Scheduled to appear in eight episodes, Meagan will play a sexy singer who tempts the show’s leading man David Duchovny, as well as guest star RZA.

‘Californication’ returns to the air on January 8, 2012.
With Stacey Dash’s role as Valerie Stokes on VH1’s ‘Single Ladies’ officially up for grabs by every black actress in Hollywood, is there any wonder rumors of those possibly ready to take her place are flying left and right.
Meagan, known primarily for her roles on the big screen (Eve’s Bayou, Stomp the Yard, Jumping the Broom), has also dabbled in a bit of television over the years, most recently wrapping up a stint on BET’s revamped version of ‘The Game.’
No official word has come down from VH1, Queen Latifah (Executive Producer) or the show’s head writer, Stacy Littlejohn. However, if rumor that the actress hired must have the ability to pull off Valerie’s now epic wardrobe are true, we think Meagan may just have this role in the bag.
Actress and budding rock singer, Meagan Good, is covering the latest issue of Heart & Soul magazine. The 29 year old California native shares her fitness tips and tells why she changed her eating habits after having a cancer scare when she was only 26 years old.
Check the excerpts below.
Meagan on her overall fitness routine:
“I jog about three or four times a week for 30 to 40 minutes. And I do squats so I don’t lose my booty.”
Meagan on changing her eating habits as she ages:
“You should cut back on red meat and juice after turning 30 in favor of seafood, grilled vegetables and water. I cut out cheeseburgers all together, and I’m really sad because I love cheeseburgers.”
Meagan on having cancer cells removed from her uterus a few years ago:
“It didn’t scare me. When people don’t know they have something, they’re fine. When they do find out, they get worse. A lot is attitude. When you’re afraid and freaked out, that’s when it worsens. I try to keep a positive outlook.”
Meagan didn’t only talk her fitness, however. She also touched on her new group The H.E.L.L.O. Girls and talked about one day settling down.
Meagan on the message The H.E.L.L.O. Girls are trying to convey through their music:
“We mostly have spiritual undertones, but we aren’t preachy. We’re telling women to respect themselves.”
Meagan on whether she is ready for a serious relationship after recently ending things with Thomas Jones:
“I’m definitely at a point in my life where I am ready to find a partner in crime—in a good way—who respects my mind and treats me like a partner and a best friend.”
Meagan Good is having a very good year. The 29 year old actress has three movies (Jumping the Broom, Video Girl, 35 and Ticking) set to debut within the coming months and now comes word that she has landed a recurring role on the Showtime dramedy Californication.
According to Monsters & Critics, Meagan has signed on for the fifth season and will be seen in a total of eight episodes. In keeping with her new career as part of the H.E.L.L.O. Girls, Meagan will play a sexy singer who tempts the show’s leading man David Duchovny.

Giving voice to the independent film scene, the IFC Midnight’s premiere of “Super” took place last night in Hollywood, California and brought out such stars as Meagan Good and Liv Tyler. Meagan was joined by her sister La’Miya Good who is also her band mate. The two sisters got together with friends Amy “Kitty” and Sterling “Goldie” to create the group H.E.L.L.O. Girls. Their first single, “On and On,” premiered last week and got great reviews from me and a few other bloggers. Word is a video is set to be shot soon and hopefully thereafter the performances will come.
Actress Meagan Good and her new group, the H.E.L.L.O. Girls, debuted their new single “On and On” earlier today via Twitter. I was unable to hear the song until I got home but I was able to read the comments on other sites and most were not positive. So imagine how surprised I was to love the song once I was able to get in front of my computer and give it a listen. The song is catchy, infectious and totally unlike anything that is out on the radio right now. I hope The H.E.L.L.O. Girls get some great management and hit the promotional circuit because I think they have a certified hit on their hands.
Give it a listen below and let us know what you think.
