Minority Report Turns Things Up in “American Dream”
While Minority Report hasn’t officially been canceled, it has had its season order cut from 13 to 10, which essentially means this season will be its last. As a matter of fact, Fox previously stated that the show’s final episode would be its series finale, which is pretty said considering things are finally starting to get interesting for our cast of characters.
After several episodes which seemed to focus more on the special effects than the storyline, Minority Report has finally found its footing, choosing now to focus on the characters and their personal narrative. Next week’s episode is a prime example of the show’s more character driven focus, if only it had come earlier in the season.
After struggling in the ratings since its debut, it appears Fox is ready to cut ties with its freshman sci-fi drama Minority Report. According to Variety, the show’s thirteen episode season has now been cut to just ten.

The Fox sci-fi drama plans to turn up the heat when it airs its Fredi episode, which has Dash going undercover to catch a woman suspected of having a deadly vendetta against her sister’s killer.
While I have been enjoying Minority Report immensely. It seems few others can say the same.
The Fox sci-fi drama debuted last week to 3.1 million viewers and a 1.1 demo rating. This week it slips, securing just over 2.7 million viewers and a 0.9 in the advertiser coveted demographic of 18-49 year olds.
The show’s DVR ratings however have been solid, which Fox may take into consideration when deciding whether to renew the show for a second season, or allowing it to finish out its 13-episode freshman season.
