‘She’s Gotta Have It’ Remake Should Totally Star Nicole Beharie
Netflix has given the go ahead to the long-delayed remake of Spike Lee’s 1986 cult classic She’s Gotta Have It. According to published reports, the streaming channel has put in a 10-episode order, which they hope to have ready for a fall 2017 debut. Lee will direct all 10 episodes, while his wife, who Lee says came up with the idea to turn the film into a series, will act as executive producer.

According to journalist Phyllis A. Gilchrist, Nicole cited “creative tension” as the reason behind her no longer appearing on the show. However, whether she chose to leave Sleepy Hollow or was fired, remains unknown.
