The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards just got a lot more interesting with news of pop diva Rihanna being this year’s recipient of the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The Award is presented to artists, and sometimes directors as in the case of Williams, who have made outstanding contributions to pop culture, music and music videos.

As expected, most weren’t worth the time I spent watching them, including that horrendous Prince tribute with Madonna and Stevie Wonder. However, one performer did stand out last night: Rihanna.
‘Needed Me’ Video by Rihanna
Less than a month after debuting the visual for her single Kiss it Better, pop diva Rihanna returns with yet another visual, this time for her caustic new single Needed Me. The track is the third to be taken from her Anti album, which is still riding high on the Billboard Hot 200. Like Kiss it Better, me thinks Rihanna is hoping Needed Me will finally knock off Work which refuses to relinquish its hold on the Hot 100.
