A new single from singer Rihanna was debuted earlier today on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. The new song, Take A Bow, is said to be from the re-release of Good Girl Gone bad- which only just recently went platinum after nine months on the charts. New couple Chris Brown and Rihanna were spotted hanging out in the VIP section of a Paris nightclub over the weekend. Not much to say here as the pics pretty much speak for themselves. Cute couple though.

Rihanna gets sultry at the Smile Jamaica - Africa Unite tribute concert to Bob Marley, held last Saturday at James Bond Beach, Oracabessa, St Mary. Rihanna was the headliner and reportedly brought the house down with her rendition of “No Woman No Cry”.
Rihanna, who turns to big 2-0 today, was spotted out in Los Angeles yesterday shopping for art at Jack Gallery. The “Umbrella” hitmaker has been riding a wave of success lately, having won her first Grammy and now being nominated for a Brit Award, which is the UK version of the Grammy. Rihanna will battle it out with Alicia Keys, Kylie Minogue, Bjork and Feist, in the Best International Female Category. Rihanna is also scheduled to perform at the show, which airs on British television tonight. Excuse my poor language skills this morning but the title just seem to fit this post so well (lol). As many of you already know, Rihanna has been in New York City taking in Fashion Week. While here she has of course been front and center at most of the exclusive collections, but in between taking in the shows and launching her new umbrella line at Macys, the sista has also been busy taking in the sites and sounds of the city. And so above and below you can find pics from all the events Rihanna has participated in this week and several of these pics I believe are exclusive or semi-exclusive to this blog- for now at least.

Fashion icon (yes she is worthy of that title) Rihanna did her part to help fight the spread of AIDS by showing up at H&M to sign copies of her “Believe” t-shirt. Rihanna teamed up with trendy store to launch the “Fashion Against AIDS” collection, which will feature t-shirts for guys and girls, with slogans like “Stop and “Think” and “Believe”. The new line will be available in H&M’s Divided departments starting February 2008 and prices are expected to range from $12 to $34, with 25 percent of the sales from the collection going to HIV/AIDS-prevention projects around the world.

For those of you who don’t know, and I didn’t myself until about 15 minutes ago, The NRJ Awards are like the French version of The American Music Awards- with a few variations. The award show was created back in 2000 and takes place every January in Cannes, France. On average, most of the awards are given to non French artists and this year Rihanna will more than likely be one of them. Her single Umbrella was a hit in France and spent several weeks at the top of the charts there.

Anyone who has read this blog long enough knows how I feel about sistas and tattoos- or should I say, sistas who get too many tattoos. Singer Mary J. Blige falls into this category and so does does Keyshia Cole. I love’em - but both have diminished their look and overall femininity with overly large tattoos that jump out at you the moment you see them. Rihanna, pictured above, is slowly joining the crew- as she was spotted recently get inked up even more than she already is.
