Chasing Success 101

We all have different interpretations of what success means. Whether success for you is owning and operating your own business or success for you means receiving that college degree, the following are five tips to help you along the way as you chase success.

1. Stop Procrastinating! Procrastination causes stagnation in one place in time. There’s no cure for procrastination, but if you aren’t able to treat this pragmatic symptom, procrastination can kill your dreams.

2. Don’t Be Scared! You may be scared to step outside of the box or to step outside your comfort zone and venture into new territory. It’s human to fear the unknown. But what separates a person who chases after their dreams and a person who sits around waiting for things to happen is their willingness to face their fears.

3. Put It On Paper. It’s something real about putting a list of goals on paper. It seems to make those goals more attainable. And it feels oh so good when you accomplish a goal and is able to cross it off your list.

4. Surround Yourself With Positive People. All my life, I have been told to watch the company I keep; a good piece of advice that has served me well. Surround yourself with people who are an inspiration to you. Surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed.

5. Believe In Yourself. You can’t expect others to believe in you, if you don’t even believe in yourself. Believe that you have what it takes to conquer anything. Believe that you have what it takes to be successful.

  1. I’m having problems with #1 & 2 Omg!
But I have issues with #2 because, I need to stop doing #1.
…(Well as far as school goes)

  2. Put it on paper. Yes. That’s something I’ve done. Actually it’s one of those dry-erase boards in my home office. Stuff written down; things to do this year. New heights to reach, goals to meet, etc. 🙂
