It took me a minute to figure out what I was going to write about Ciar’s SNL performance because it was so darn weird. Well, not all of it- just her performance of Love Sex Magic, which featured fluffy pop star Justin Timberlake. As many of you know, their video for the single is beyond hot. However, their performance together was anything but. Justin pretended to play the keyboard during Ciara’s performance and even when Justin’s verse came up he never stepped from behind that keyboard. Instead Ciara walked up to the keyboard and started getting frisky with it.
Honestly, it was a very odd performance. Was Jessica Beal’s presence a distraction for Justin (she introduced the pair) ? Was he scared of getting too frisky with another sista and having another nipple-gate incident to contend with? Whatever the case his presence was not needed and he brought nothing to this live performance of a very steamy song.
As for Ciara- she was her usual self- beautiful and incredibly flexible.

It was actually very good…I totally get what ur saying abt the JT thing…that was kinda weird…she walked up to the keyboard and started shaking her ***. lol…i was like WTF Ciara. lol…although the performance was like stripper class 2.0, it wasn’t bad…she needs to improve those vocals though…she sounded TERRIBLE in Never Ever…and she looked constipated trying to force out those simple notes…her face looked really funny…but otherwise, she looks beautiful.
Ciara was fine. It’s Justin I could have so done without. Why was he even there? He did nothing but pretend to play the keyboard. :lol:

Funny how he just SHOWED up on SNL for Bey’s performance, dressed in a leotard and IN HEELS,did the SINGLE LADIES dance AND a skit along wit it…… but couldnt do the kid n play or atleast the running man with her…..a song that he is actually in and wrote and performed overseas already?!?!?! Ciara was POPPIN!!!! And i dont get why everybody say her vocals were bad. They were just fine to me. We all kno Ciara isnt a powerhouse vocalist, but i must admit i was incredibly shocked at the Never Ever performance. She KILLED her high notes. Shes now my moms fav female singer LOL! But that Love Sex Magic performance was the greatest! My mom and i went crazy when Ciara did the James Brown and the splits!
Ciara is definitely the best female dancer ever! I havent seen moves since Michael Jackson! That was by far the best SNL performance ive seen in a while. Gotta give it up to Ciara! :bowdown:

Compared to the video this performance was tasteful. Sexy but restrained. Very Janetesque.
I am glad Justin did not touch her! I have seen him on the keyboard before so I don’t think he is faking. It did seem like he was “introducing” her to the world, like HE discovered her like Diana claimed she did the Jacksons (Gladys Knight deserved the credit) or something.
Her vocals were clear and she never became breathless. Everyone does not need powerhouse vocals to be a great performer and that is fine with me. I prefer real soul music but good dance music has its’ place.
I am IMPRESSED with her strength. You have to be super strong to gyrate in a sqatted position then transition into another dance move without wincing or breaking a sweat.
That was Super Ms. Cici. Rather classy, in fact.

lol okay okay okay. i love never ever and she HAS improved on her live vocals but why does she look like shes trying to sing hard and her notes fall short? when she sings it sounds like shes out of breath and she want even moving, BUT like i said her live vocals have improved which is good and my favorite part is when she says “gotta come down…gotta let you go…” i love how she goes down like that ver nice lol
love sex and magic was wayyyy over the top with the sex, but i like it like that :bag: thats not for everyone but i like seeing performances and videos like that and im not even straight haha but she did good with the dancing, maybe she shouldnt have had justin singing in the back because his voice sounded better than hers but at least shes brave enough to sing live i still think this song is a knock off janet but i like the dance moves YES GIRL YOU BETTER SWING THAT PONY TAIL ON THE FLOOR AT THE END! haha i LOVED that part! over all she did her thing…
ciara has a very strong face, has she ever tried short hair? that may look hot on her…i donno if she has tried it before or not?
Both performaces were good. As others have mentioned, her vocals has improved. It’s funny because I am listening to Ciara’s album Fantasy Ride right now as I am getting ready for school and work. Everyone have a good day.

:lol: @James….Yeah she has improved vocally on the album, but her vocals on “Never Ever” were a mess, she could barely hit the notes, but her dance moves were hot… MARIO I loved when she came down on “gotta let u go” too, that part was hot.

I watched SNL that night and I thought this was one of her best performances. Loved the tights or leggings or whatever they were but she looked and moved great. I also thought Justin was going to do a little more but it was fine that the focus was on Ciara. She is steppin it up, hopefully it will boost album sales, it was a good platform to end the first week of sales.
Koko: I think if people open their minds and stop thinking that they know all about music the album should be great,Truth is Ciara can sing Rihanna can sing Cassie can sing even britney spears can sing,all these chicks out there Their vocal range might not be wide but they can sing,Poeple need to open their mind that’s all “Tell me what your name” is is my New favorite off the album,i think it’s a solid effort i just wish there was a law against peopel LEaking materials before the album drops. Voice :iagree: with you. :hifive: A singer doesn’t have to be a power house, in order to be a good singer. “Tell me what your name is,” is one of my fav off the album as well. I can not wait for the numbers this week.
I also think Ciara needs to release “Work” at the beginning of the summer. I can see this being played in the clubs, workout places, dance studios, malls, etc.
I also think Ciara should do a re-release towards middle or end of summer and include Super Natural and The Fit of Love. Y’all should go on Youtube and listen to Ciara The Fit of Love. I personally think that song, even as a single would take her to a higher level. It would have been the best song on the album in my opinion.

Justin ddnt want to be tempted….what i love about cici is that she is dancing to her own sound just like janet and j.lo,she is a dancer and what is important to her is the flow of the beat and the movement more than the vocals that is why she even moves to slow jams….most dancers choose to dance for a company or other artist and thez nothing wrong with that i have done it b4,im very impressed that she never allowed her limited vocal range to restrict her career….im now at peace with the fact that not everybody will like her coz not everyone knows what separates other dancers from real pro dancers.

I read an interview with one of the producers for “Mama I Want to Sing.” He said that they have halted the release of the movie because they wanted to release it a few months after Ciara released her album . He said, everytime Ciara pushed her album back, we pushed the movie release back.
I think it is suppose to come out around September / Octuber.
I heard it was horrible, but I wasn’t able to see the video. All I know is this. Even though Ciara is a phenominal dancer, she is supposed to be a singer, so she could still work on that, but all that is if the performance was actually bad.

LOL!!! LMAO!! OH MY GOD!! Jennifer Hudson can sing. Fantasia can sing. Bey is ok. Ciara cannot sing. She is better at modeling. With choreographed moves she is a good dancer. Have never seen her just break it down like Janet did in Pleasure Principal. And yes Janet had a coach but there were scenes where she just broke it down. Ciara is not a singer, she is a performer. That slow song she did, I actually changed the channel on that mess. I could not believe how bad she sounded. This is the type of talent we have to look forward too? I hated the show “American Idol” for awhile, but I have to give it props now. At LEAST they make sure those contestants can actually sing. Your girl Ciara WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THE CUT.
