Making Moves: Ciara Signs with Interscope Records
Bye-bye, Epic, hello, Interscope. Ciara is moving on, y’all. After quietly leaving Epic Records earlier this year, Ciara has now announced plans to call Interscope home, thanks to a new multi-album deal she recently signed with the label.
Via press release, John Janick, President and CEO of Interscope, said his label is the perfect place for Ciara to work on her music career, adding “We are excited about working with her and I am sure whatever we release together will be special.”
A&R Manager Sebastian Begg went on to add his two cents, calling Ciara an immensely “talented songwriter with a special voice.” “We are thrilled she has entrusted us to deliver her personal artistic vision to fans across the globe” Begg told Billboard. “It is an honor to have her join our iconic roster of superstars.”
Ciara canceled the second leg of her Jackie Tour earlier this year, citing plans to return to the studio and work on new music. That is music is reportedly almost done, as the press release goes on to say a new single will arrive this month, with the album set to follow shortly thereafter.
