Ciara Signs With The Willamina Modeling Agency
Singer Ciara, fresh off of her stint as the face of Rocawear’s women’s line, is now looking to delve into modeling professionally and has signed with top notch modeling agency, Willamina. The 5′8 inch beauty, who originally thought she was only 5′7, said: “Modeling has always been one of my aspirations, but I was insecure about my height. Finding out I’m actually 5′8 is very exciting for me”. Additionally, the singer is also looking to start her own clothing line (where I have heard this before) and is said to be in talks with discount department store, Steve & Barry’s, to create an affordable line especially geared towards her young urban fans. In the meantime, the singer/aspiring model, continues to work on her new album, Fantasy Ride, which is due to be released this September via Jive Records.

Ok Stephanie now you have your answer as to why Ciara was so thin on the BET Awards. Models have to be thin, very, very thin and clearly Ciara is taking her new profession seriously.

I can’t see Ciara modeling. She did a piss poor job as the face of Rocawear. None of those shots or poses I saw screamed model in any way. She doesn’t seen comfortable in front of the camera and often strikes funny poses. Modeling just seems more of Rihanna’s thing to me.

None of the Rocawear ads look good to me. I mean, I know it’s high fashion (I guess), but those ads with Ciara and Toccara and whoever else were just like…meh. And maybe I’m being a bit of a snob or something, but maybe it was the photographer and the creative directors who okayed them. And maybe the shots were ‘good enough’. I do wonder if it would’ve been different had someone like Mario Testino been at the helm… Does anyone know who the primary photog was for the latest Roc campaign? Maybe it’s just a creative differential. Maybe with other companies/photographers/artistic directors, etc. can give her images a more polished look… Err, okay. I’ll be quiet now.

She looks great to me, thin and all. I saw her on the awards and I thought she looked awesome. She has a dancer’s body to me, and it’s not too far from a modeling shape. Best of Luck to her. I wonder if she has a runway walk?
