D. Woods Breaks the Rules

Former Danity Kane member D. Woods says she is tired of playing by the rules.

In the latest digital issue of Urban Lux Magazine, D. says she is taking her career into her own hands and creating WoodGrane Entertainment, her own independent label, is the first step in what she calls her 12 step program to rehabilitating her career on her own terms.

“I’m tired of waiting on people to allow me to be great,” says the classically trained dancer and actress. “I have been preparing for this my entire life and I feel now is my time.”

D. just released a new single, “Straight to the Bottom” and says she hopes the public embraces it, as well as her ‘Gray Area” EP, which is now available in iTunes.

Asked what her next move will be in her 12 step program, D. alluded to small roles in several upcoming TV and film projects, but says she is keeping hush-hush until she has everything finalized.

  1. “tired of waiting on people to let me be great” <–you GO girl! DO YOU! Seriously. Good luck. Love that attitude. Sometimes you just have to take the bull by its horns and ride it out, caution to the wind. Go'on girl! 🙂

  2. I don’t like the song either but I like her attitude. Why wait for others to do for you what you can do for yourself.
