Demetria McKinney Inks Record Deal With e-One

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Demetria McKinney is moving on to bigger and better things- namely a newly signed record deal with E One Records, home to such artists as Kenny Lattimore and two former Destiny’s Child members: Michelle Williams and LeToya Luckett.

McKinney’s first single “100” featured Da Brat and managed to soar to #4 on the iTunes chart after she performed it live on the show. Her new single “Trade it All” has helped her land a spot on R. Kelly’s “Black Panties” tour, as well as this summer’s Funkfest tour.

“This is a dream come true for me,” McKinney posted to her Facebook page, adding “I’m so grateful to eOne, my team and Bravo TV for giving me the platform to share my music, which has now culminated in me joining the eOne family. I look forward to tours with R. Kelly, Funkfest, as well as releasing some great new music for the summer.”

For those of you who came to know Demetria through her acting (Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Devious Maids, Neccessary Roughness), you needn’t worry, the singer/actress says she has no plans to leave her day job and can soon be seen in the upcoming film “Sons 2 the Grave.”
