Ebonée Noel to Return for Season 3 of ‘Wrecked’
If you’re a fan of actress Ebonée Noel and her scene-stealing portrayal of The Barracuda on the TBS hit comedy Wrecked, then news of its renewal should come as a happy surprise. The network announced the show will return in the spring of 2018, along with Noel and her gang of bumbling pirates.
Ebonée joined the cast of the Lost spoof in season two and quickly became a fan favorite. Her Barracuda character was a last-minute addition to the cast, which creator Jordan Shipley says was inspired by Rihanna’s Bitch Better Have My Money video.
“Rihanna is obviously the coolest person in the world,” Shipley told Variety earlier this year. “So we were like, that would be pretty amazing to have what you’re expecting to be these Captain Phillps pirates and it turns out that they’re led by the coolest person possible, a female Barracuda.”
Wrecked recently wrapped up its second season, which made significant gains over season one in both demo and viewership. Its third season will reportedly go into production next month.
Fans craving a bit more Noel now can check her out on Hulu, where episodes of Still Star Crossed are streaming despite its cancellation. The Caribbean-born actress can also be seen in the Louis C.K. directed comedy I Love You, Daddy.
