Elle Varner Releases New Music

Singer Elle Varner is back with her new “lies” inspired single “See Me Tonight.”

Over the last few weeks Elle has been releasing singles from her upcoming sophomore album “4 Letter Word” which are inspired by… you guessed it… 4 letter words.

“Cold Case,” released last month, was inspired by love and in the coming weeks two more singles will be released as well.

Elle hopes to release “4 Letter Word” this summer, calling the project “undefinable” and says she hopes fans “take away from it what they will.”

“The title is open to interpretation, hence the symbols used in the campaign – ‘>$@!’ It’s whatever you feel when you experience the album. Does ‘>$@!’ stand for love? Pain? Life? That’s for the listener to decide, 4 Letter Word has the kind of range that can’t be embodied by a single word or phrase.”

Give “See Me Tonight” a listen below and let us know what you think.

  1. This girl and her music are so boring. Why do blogs keep trying to make her pop? She lacks umph. Her music is awful and so is her presentation. She hasn’t released one song that was worth a damn. Back in the 80s you had Whitney, Janet and Anita Baker. Anita didn’t have Janet and Whitney’s pop sales but she did good for herself and had plenty of urban hits to prove she had appeal. Today you have Beyonce, Rihanna and no one to fill the Anita slot. Ledisi, Melanie Fiona and Elle are just not up to the task. There music doesn’t move people. Folks claim they talented but the proof isn’t in the pudding. Elle brings nothing to the game at all. Even her voice is mediocre. She needs to just stop.

  2. What’s with the old lady bra in that promo pic? Come on Elle. Your stylist could have hit up Victoria Secret for something more chic.

  3. Elle is in her own lane. She’s not Beyoncé or Rihanna but she adds something new to the table when it comes to music. The girl is a musician/artist. I mean as much as radio and viewers listen to Beyoncé and Rihanna constantly on the radio doesn’t mean other artists with talent would be considered as “boring” Her music speaks the truth. And Melanie Fiona is talented as well. People know Elle from “Perfectly Imperfect” and she has been making a name for herself for quite a while. Just because popular artist make hits and sell music does not mean they are better musicians. No shade to Beyoncé and Rihanna but there’s room for everyone in the industry. Elle is really bringing it musically which radio/listeners are missing. I love this song!

  4. Agreed @4Everbrandy. I’m checking for Elle. Her sound is fresh with real hip-hop notes. “See Me Tonight” – yes, two thumbs up. Wish radio would play more interesting options like Elle, in addition to the standard fare…
