En Vogue Reunites For World Tour

Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis, and Maxine Jones are back together again. The singing quartet, better known to the world as En Vogue, has reunited to celebrate their 20th Anniversay with a world wide tour and possible new album.

En Vogue Covers Jet Magazine

The Funky Divas recently sat down and spoke to Jet Magazine about their upcoming plans for 2009. “It’s like we haven’t missed a beat,” said Dawn Robinson, who left the quartet in 1997 but recently rejoined. “As the torch was passed from The Supremes to all-girl groups, then we passed it on to others. Now it’s our time again. It’s not about pushing anyone out of the way. It’s time to come back and finish what we started. We’re going to take the world by storm again.”

Wow @ how good they look! I used to love En Vogue. This is good news..so many “girl” groups end up in scandal. Nice to know that these ladies still have love for each other :)

Great News! I love it. Man…the music scene needs some these strong all girl-groups back. You can feel the void nowdays. Welcome back ladies. They look gorgeous, fit, and ready to roll.

  6. Blame it on tha Rain says:

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! . This group is one of my fav all time groups ever. The reason why I love these ladies is because EVERYBODY got a chance to sing & showcase their talents in just about every song. There was never the idea that Dawn, Max, Terry, or Cindy was the only lead in the group. I loved that about them. I wish them much success & I can’t wait to hear the new album  .

  7. Liyah says:

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Boyyyyyyyyy! I am so excited! YES, YES YES!!! When are they hittin up NY cause I want to see them! I love these ladies. That’s right put these youngins to shame! Fully dressed and STILL sexy! :hifive:

  8. Now this is the Best Girl group of my generation, IMO. They all could sing and were always classy. I loved their harmonies. There rendition of Yesterday is my jam. I still listen to it.

I loved Excape, SWV, even 702, but En Vogue is my fav aof all time.

  9. Voice says:

En Voguuuuuuuuuue? Child i’ ll be sitting right there :D

  10. Yolanda says:

All they need is a hot producer to bang them out some tracks, and it’s back to sitting at the top of the charts. God how I loved them back in the day.

  11. surabi says:

I love them so much too. They are great and classy. I can’t wait to see them and hear a new album. This made my day.

  12. bee says:

I will be buying tickets for that show. Cannot wait. All of my 90′s artisist are coming back. I guess the record companies are tired of not selling record.

  13. Pearlsrevealed says:

One of my all time favs! Beautiful and free of tattoos. Can saaannng. Ooo weeee.

I doubt they will fit into the todays popular musical landscape but I will buy a new CD of theirs. Hope they don’t let some young “hot” producer dumb them down singing worn out cliches/slang. Take a page from Chaka Khan’s comeback book…2007′s “Funk This” was age appropriate, relevant and HOT.

  14. Patricia says:

I am so excited! En Vogue is the perfect group. They have everything working for them. Looks, style and amazing voices. Oh, and their amazing choreography and music videos. I can not wait for their comeback and I do hope that they record a new album. This has made my day!

  15. tray says:

now this a real girl group they all can sing

  16. Kevin says:

I wonder if Cindy, Maxine and Terry would be open to performing any of Dawn’s solo work or if Dawn, likewise, would have no problem with possibly performing songs that were hits after she left the group. If the song is good and get people dancing, it shouldn’t matter who wrote it, when it was release or who was in the lineup when it was made popular. Glad to have you back, ladies!

  17. Kanyade says:

These are DIVAS! And they’re gorgeous!!! I LOVEDDEDEDEDED En Vogue! LOVED them I tell you! Great news!

  18. Lisa says:

Oh, those are my girls. LOVE EN Vogue, will definately see them in NY. Can’t wait. Their harmonies were the best. Love these DIVAS, I can’t take it.

  19. chocolate girl says:

    Ooooh I can’t wait! :hifive:

  20. Cassanova Brown says:

There are no female groups out there that can really, really sing! And they are STILL fine as wine! The door is wide open for my girl’s to step on through, I just hope their producers still have the chops. Terri is still the finest, then Dawn, Cindy, and Maxine. I will be the first in line for the album and first in line for front row seats. Gotta see those big pretty legs, cleavage, eyes, smiles, voices and T&A!! Yes I said it!! OLD SCHOOL T&A!!!!!

  21. Nesh Nesh says:

  22. Torya says:

  26. Johnnie B. says:

Been a fan through thick and thin. They have been my favorite group of all time and are what got me into music. I’ve seen them in concert four times in the last three years but never with Dawn. Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait!!!

  27. Please Excuse Me says:

    Those sistas can sing.

  28. B says:

Love them!!! Ever since they sang back up for Stevie Wonder on his song “So What The Fuss, ” I’ve been waiting for them to really get back together. These rumors have been goin around for a while since then. It’s good to see that this is actually happening. I will be at the show whenever it comes to DC!!

  29. bee says:

@the ripper is that really necessary. They came out in the late 80′s no one stays young forever no matter what hollywood tells you.

  30. DivaGirl says:

These are my girls!! I bought myself a dress like Cindy’s in the Hold 0n video and called it my En Vogue dress. I have all their albums.

  31. TheRipper says:

@bee. Relax… Hollywood tells me nutthin. That was all me.

  32. blacksista says:

    Do ya thang ladies!

  33. bee says:

@The Ripper I probably was trippin. I just saw someone I haven’t seen since high school which was a while ago and I was still in high school when I saw them and the first thing came out of their mouth is girl you have put on weight. And she was looking like a big old cow herself. So I probably was a little sensitive sorry.
