Family Affair: The Kids Choice Awards

The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards is one of the few award shows that celebs bring their children to and this year was no different. Not only did sista celebs and their children show up, but a few single celebs showed up as well to take part in the the festivities and slime that is associated with this event. Above we have Janet Jackson, who has attended the show several times in the past and who was awarded the “WannaBe” Award back in 2002 for her work with at risk youth.
Rihanna and Brendan Frasier were also in attendance and presented an award.
Nia Long, Holly Robinson Peete and Tracey Edmonds, all showed up with their little ones in tow.

This has only been happening to me with the redesigned site.
The main page loads the ads at the top - and nothing else.
The RSS feed only shows one entry. Sometimes the links to other posts on the right hand side don’t work.
Maybe this one isn’t Firefox-friendly?

Something is weighing the site down and that was why I changed the theme. Changing the theme however didn’t work and I am still trying to figure out why the site moves so darn slowly.

@ Stephanie, is it possible it could be a browser problem? Like rjk and Terence, I get the loading trouble too, but only when I access the site via Mozilla Firefox. On Internet Explorer the site and all of its features load perfectly for me, so maybe it’s a browser compatibility issue?
On topic: Everyone looks great, but I miss the old Nickelodeon, when it had shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark, All That, Pete & Pete, Skeeter, Salute Your Shorts, etc. :(

Yes, the ads do not work anymore in Firefox. I knew that months ago but my ad guys said it was just my computer. So what I do is block the ads with a Firefox extension called Adblock Plus.

Yeah I did that because of site scrapers. Those are sites that use blog rss feeds to copy posts from various sites and put them on their own site with lots of ads. You can find identiacal posts of mine on dozens of sites and I got tired of that crap and cut the rss down to 1 post. I know it’s annoying but I’ll be damn if I work to make someone else rich who just steals my content via the feed.

Aaww Janet is so cute. She should have brought Jermaine’s daugher w/her. She looks like she was caught off gaurd in the first pic. Rihanna looks great, Holly Robinson does not age (banging body…especially for 5 Kids) and Nia looks great!

I didn’t like what Janet wore for the event. For it to be such a casual event, I thought she looked a matronly. I loved her ysl shoes though. I loved Nia’s mxm dress too; I thought she looked the best out of all of them. Tracey looked like she was running erands, too casual.
