First Look: Alicia Keys “Teenage Love Affair” Video

Alicia Keys is reliving her ‘School Daze’ for her all-new music video, “Teenage Love Affair,” and ET was behind the scenes in New Jersey! “Teenage Love Affair” is the third single off of Alicia’s hit album As I Am, in stores now, and the video pays special homage to Spike Lee’s college comedy from 1988. “It really tells the story of when you first fall for somebody,” she explains to ET. “You know how it feels: you’re on the phone all night; when you see them in those special places, you get that feeling and you try to meet them as much as possible — that whole first love kind of thing.” Just back from touring Europe, Alicia is kicking off her two-month North American tour (with “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparcks opening up) on April 19 in Hampton, VA. “Being able to see all those faces out there singing at the top of their lungs, it really shows me how we’ve connected through this music,” says Alicia, adding, “The tour is a workout … that stage is really, really big, so I feel like I just jogged a basketball court!”

To view Alicia’s entire interview with ET you can click here and a cute little animation of a clip of the video can be seen below.

This clip is little heavy so it may take a minute to load. When it does though you will see Alicia looking so cute and gettin’ her groove on with her girls.

Um it’s basically showing her in slow motion dancing with two girls, unless mine is the only one playing slow.

Luv A. Keys, she`s my girl. I also luv the CD and I purchased it when it first came out. This should definitely be another number one hit for her as she`s proving to be a real force in the music industry. She`s SO BEAUTIFUL and doesn`t have a conceited bone in her body, that makes her even more attractive. She has a figure that`s truly off the chain and yet she always keeps it “CLASSY”. She plays second fiddle to no one and she`s definitely a breath of fresh air on todays` music scene. She makes what you call real music, music with SUBSTANCE…. Once again she`s so down to earth, a rarity nowadays. People will definitely be singing her songs 20 years from now. I don`t know many other artists of whom I can make that same proclamation… She definitely has longevity.

I expect this video to be hot. It looks very interesting. Alicia has some moves on her that are rarely spoken spoken of but the sista can definitely get down.

Oh OK Steph. Well I have to agree with the 2 posts above, her album is great….and I don’t purchase many albums, but hers is a MASTERPIECE. I truly see her becoming an Icon. She seems so comfortable in her skin. No matter how many women come out with songs, she takes her time and puts out wonderful music. She keeps you yearning. I LOVE HER!!!!!

AKeys is doing her thing and like my brownsista above me I LOVE her CD! The entire disc has been in constant rotation since day one! I’m looking forward to seeing how the video for Teenage Love Affair turns out. Her videos are always cute and really about the song which I think helps to sell it. I already have tickets to check out her show when she hits Atlanta.

“Teenage Love Affair” is one of the more fun songs on the album. I love it because it takes me back. Especially the part where she’s describing the guy and girl on the phone and neither wanting to hang up and them having to be in before the streetlights come on. I love it!

Alicia’s album is AWESOME. I was listening to it the other night and am just bolled over by various tracks. “Restless Love” is one of my fav. upbeat tracks and even “Get Gone” because of its ‘umph’-ness. LOL. But “Lessons Learned” is my heart! That song just MOVES ME! She sings with such yearning; it borders on desperation and it’s just so honest and raw. Her voice isn’t as frilly as some singers out there (meaning she doesn’t do all the crazy runs and oohs and aahs), but she sings with such heartfelt emotion, regardless the song. Even with “Teenage Love Affair” she evokes the ‘happy’ and the feelings that a teenaged girl in love with her boo would feel; hence the song and how it ‘takes me back’.

I love Alicia. LOL. That is all.

I love Alicia Keys! I was so mad when I missed her in Chicago. She is down to Earth and has a lovely voice. Someone else to look out for is Gaby Wilson, check her out on Youtube if you get a chance.

    Amber,
50 is trying to stay relevant. I will be so glad when people quit entertaining his opinions and maybe he’ll pick up a book one day, so he won’t sound so ignorant everytime he opens up his mouth.
